How are voters thinking about immigration in New York?
And I ask that because the sanctuary policies in the city
seem to have really hurt working class people.
Well, that's a tremendous issue.
And, you know, look, everything about Kathy Hochul is a failed policy.
She kept going Trump, Trump, Trump.
Trump was not in the race, Kathy, I hate to break it to you.
It's between Bruce and you.
So when we talk about immigration and we talk about the illegals,
We talked about money.
You know, the New York state budget is $268 billion.
Out of that $268 billion, so much of it goes to the illegals
and giving them free everything from their debit cards to their phones
and everything that falls in between.
Bruce did not miss a single mark
and she was lost it was really interesting to watch
she was so unprepared and you know
that's what's happening i think throughout uh the country i
think a lot of people are basing their opponents
on Trump Kathy Hochul just froze on live TV not a
stumble a full blue screen crash now somewhere
in Albany an intern is still trying to turn her off
turn her back on again reboot the whole system
but here's the twist guys it wasn't Donald Trump
who broke her she blamed him for gas she blamed him for groceries
and probably the pothole that's
on your street but no it
was actually Bruce Blakeman one guy one question he asked the
governor of New York to apologize to a 14 year old girl
that was attacked by an illegal migrant
he named the families the kids under five
the empty chairs in Thanksgiving Kathy Hochul's answer
any crime is heartbreaking that's it i mean she couldn't even say
the word illegal apparently it
wasn't in the budget but then it got worse blakeman pulled out
her own words about black kids in the
Bronx not knowing what a computer is oh dead silence
the moderator's very next question
artificial intelligence oh you can't even make
this stuff up guys he put her 150 rebate check
next to the four thousand dollars a year that he says
that she added to your utility bill this is
not a rebate, guys. This is a tip to yourself, from yourself.
Oh, and when she bragged that New
York has the lowest crime in modern history,
she couldn't finish the sentence. It's kind of hard
to say that one with a straight face.
Ask anybody on the 4 train. Weeks after Letitia James got
cooked in her own debate,
Kathy Hochul is touring the state with none other than Zoran Mamdani.
This is like putting out a fire with a bigger fire
and then calling an outreach. Bronx families
are noticing. Nassau County is noticing.
Democrats, they're panicking. So today you're
going to get what the media buried, the victim's names,
the sanctuary policies, the utility bill
shell game, all of it. Now, look, guys,
if you're new here, go ahead and subscribe. It's totally
free. It is the one thing in New York
that Kathy Hochul has not yet figured out how to tax yet.
Oh, and if this video delivered,
go ahead and smash the like button on the way out. One tap,
no rebate check required. And unlike hers, it actually helps.
So picture this, right? A debate
stage in New York. You got two podiums, hot lights, cameras rolling.
Millions of people are
watching this thing. On one side, you got Bruce Blakeman.
On the other side, Kathy Hochul, the
sitting governor of New York. Five years on the job.
Five years, guys. She steps up, opens her
mouth, and the words come out in pieces.
We're not done yet. And you're going to hear a lot of,
well, a lot of different opinions here this evening.
A lot of well? Yeah. What is a lot of
well and is that a new state program does it actually come
with a rebate check like what is
that but also this New York State now has
the lowest crime rates it's had in modern history
now we're not done yet and you're going to hear
a lot of well a lot of different opinions here
this evening and i want you to judge it this way
so here's the thing about live tv there is no edit
button. No do-overs. There's no staffers sprinting out
with a fresh script. What you say is what the
whole state sees. And New York saw a governor
who sounded like she was meeting New York for the
first time. Some folks swore her earpiece cut out.
I'm not saying that. I'm just saying it would
explain a lot. If a sitting governor can't even finish
a sentence on live TV, imagine what's
buried in the fine print of her budget,
your utility bill, your property taxes, your next
rebate check. This is why I put together
the Ron Yates Report newsletter. It's totally free,
plain English, no spin.
I break down what these decisions actually really mean for your wallet
before the bill shows up in your mailbox.
So I'll leave a link for you in the description
down below. Join for free.
Unlike Albany, it's not going to cost you $4,000 a year.
So how did she open the night? With a plan?
With a record? A list of wins? No, of course not.
with Donald Trump. She looked across the stage
and called Blakeman the president of Donald Trump's
fan club. Then she blamed Trump for gas prices
and energy prices and tariffs and groceries.
Picture that, a woman who has run New York
for five years, standing in New York,
pointing at the White House. It's kind of like
a kid pointing at the dog after the cookie jar
goes missing. You know what? Everything has
happened under your friend Donald Trump,
who you are the president of the fan club for Donald Trump.
It's absurd how adoring you are
of him. My gosh. But what he has done is raised gasoline prices
and energy prices and the costs
of tariffs have driven up everything in the state.
Have you bought groceries lately? My God,
the people are suffering. Our term solution.
But I'm trying to build more. But you know what the
real problem is? I've got Donald Trump standing
in the way of my energy projects, literally shut
down a project, taking 1300 people off their jobs
that would have powered half a million homes in
Brooklyn I also want to do part of my all
the above I'm trying to do nuclear but the White House
playing politics won't sign off on it
so we're doing the best we can but don't overlook the fact
that is the war with Iran that is driving up gasoline costs
and energy costs almost double
what they were in the past diesel is now double what it
was that is a real cost of energy that
people are dealing with and it was so unnecessary
and my opponent supports exactly what Donald
Trump did with that war. Will you raise income taxes?
Many of your progressive allies are saying-
Can I respond to that first? Sure.
I'd like to respond to the utility bill issue because
that's probably one of the most prevalent issues
that we have here in New York.
Kathy, if Donald Trump is running your state,
what exactly have you been doing in Albany?
Napping? Picking out some new office chairs?
She's just walking up and down the aisles of Ikea.
And she's not alone here.
Over in Massachusetts, Governor Maura Healey reportedly ran the exact
same play in her own debate. Trump, Trump, Trump.
This is not a campaign. This is a copy-paste job.
But here's the joke nobody in the party really wants to think about.
President Trump won't be
on the ballot forever. So when he's gone,
what are they going to run on next? Their record?
Good luck with that one.
So then Bruce Blakeman turned, looked right at her, and asked one
question. Would she apologize to a 14-year-old girl?
A girl right here in New York attacked
by an illegal migrant under Kathy Hochul's sanctuary policies.
Oh, and he didn't stop
there either. Four Irondequoit residents killed,
two of them under five years old, two Nassau County
women in their 30s killed, empty chairs at Thanksgiving,
presents under the tree that
nobody will ever open.
So then he asked her to please call back Sheridan Gorman's parents
because they've been calling and calling and the room went dead silent.
The whole state leaned in
And Kathy Hochul, she said, well, any crime is heartbreaking.
That's it.
That's the answer.
It sounded like a sympathy card from a gas station checkout line.
There's no apology, no names.
And she would not say the word illegal.
She tiptoed around it like a Lego
on the living room floor at 2 a.m. walking barefoot.
So, Governor Hochul, under your sanctuary policies,
a 14-year-old girl was raped recently
here in New York State by an illegal migrant.
Four Irondequoit residents were killed recently by an illegal migrant.
Two of those victims were children under the age of five.
Two Nassau County women in their 30s were killed by an illegal migrant
because of your sanctuary policies.
Will you apologize to that 14-year-old girl whose life
is forever changed and her family
and the families of those who were killed,
the ones that will never get to sit at another Thanksgiving dinner,
Never be able to open their presents under the Christmas tree.
Will you apologize to them?
And will you please return Sheridan Gorman's parents' calls
to talk to you about your sanctuary policy?
You know, any crime is heartbreaking.
There's a family left with a huge hole in their heart.
And I abhor all crimes, regardless of the perpetrator.
Victims deserve our sympathy.
They deserve our compassion.
And that's why I've laser focused on making New York
so much more safer than it had been before.
It never would have happened.
But for your sanctuary policy, you have invited criminals
to come into our state and prey on our on our communities.
And now you won't let local law enforcement cooperate
with ICE in an orderly way like we did in my county.
We didn't have any incidents in my county
because we were allowed to cooperate with local law enforcement.
But you took that tool away.
The reason why that happened is because of you, Kathy Hochul,
and your immigration policies,
where you actually invite people into our state,
give them free everything,
and you don't care whether they're criminals or not.
Governor, it's just one word.
Those families live with a lot worse every single day.
Now, real quick, think of the one person in your life who still says
sanctuary policies don't hurt anybody.
Send them this video. Don't argue, don't debate,
just send the video, let Blakeman do the talking,
and then just sit back and wait for the text.
Now, here are two more stories you probably never heard.
Monday night, about 8.30, near
Pearly Gates Park in the Bronx, right by Westchester Square.
A 12-year-old girl struck
by gunfire, 12. But then there's an off-duty NYPD officer,
a legal immigrant from the Dominican
Republic. He did everything right.
He came the right way, he put on the uniform, and he was
stabbed by two illegal gang members.
So where were the marches? The candlelight vigils on the
6 o'clock news? Kathy Hochul's big press conference?
Where was it? Crickets. Expensive,
taxpayer-funded crickets.
Remember the anti-ICE protests, wall-to-wall coverage, helicopters,
live interviews, cardboard signs everywhere?
But a 12-year-old girl in the Bronx? Nothing.
And hey guys, the Bronx has its own famous congresswoman,
by the way. AOC. You may have
heard of her. Maybe, maybe not.
She can find a camera faster than a pigeon finds a dropped bagel.
So where's her press conference for that little girl?
It's funny how some victims get the
spotlight and others get silence.
But then came the line of the night. New York State now has
the lowest crime rates it had in modern history.
Lowest in history. Now, picture a subway platform
at midnight. The corner bodega behind bulletproof glass.
A mom walking her kid home a little faster
after dark. Does this feel like
the safest New York ever to you? Well, first of all,
she'll never give Donald Trump any accolades for sealing our borders.
Maybe that's why the
shootings are down. Maybe that's why all
the fentanyl deaths are down, not by anything that
you did. But let me say this about crime.
If you walk into any CVS or Walgreens and you want to
buy a bottle of shampoo, in Kathy Hochul's world,
you got to ring a buzzer, a store clerk has to
come out unlock a glass door for you to buy
a bottle of shampoo in New York State it's because
we have a revolving door of criminality cashless bail raise
the age the halt act and you talk about
militias you're the only one on this stage
that has a militia you have two the National Guard
and the State Guard and you have the National Guard
at the cost of a billion dollars a year
to the taxpayers because you fired corrections officers
who said these prisons now are not only
safe for corrections officers. They're not safe for the prisoners.
And you fired them and put the
National Guard in there. You're the one that used the militia, not me.
I mean, just ask folks who've
lived in the Bronx for 40, 50 years.
A lot of them are going to tell you it's never been worse.
So here's a sixth grade question for you.
If you stop arresting people, stop charging people,
and then open the jail doors with cashless bail,
does crime go down or does the paperwork go down?
It's the easiest diet in the world.
Just stop stepping on the scale. You want to see real
crime drop? Rudy Giuliani's New York.
Times Square cleaned up. Subways people aren't scared
to ride. And if crime really is down,
maybe thank President Trump's deportations, the same
enforcement that Kathy Hochul fought tooth and nail.
This is like suing the fire department and
then taking credit for putting out the fire.
So here's what Albany doesn't get. The people
who know these streets best,
they're the families who came here the right way. Dominican families,
Puerto Rican families.
Legal immigrants who waited in line, filled out every form,
learned the anthem, and built something.
Picture the stoop on a summer night. The guys on the
corner and the abuela in the window watching
the whole block like a one-woman security camera.
Nothing gets past her. Nothing.
These families know exactly what's going on,
and they're usually the first victims.
So when Kathy Hochul won't even say illegal immigrant,
who does that really hurt the most? Them.
Because now everybody gets lumped in together. The cop
who wore the badge and the gang members who stabbed him.
Same bucket. This is not compassion.
This is laziness with a press release.
So here's what should scare Democrats. Plenty of these
families, they never voted for Zoran Mamdani.
Plenty of them stayed home. Kathy Hochul just
gave them a reason to show up.
November is coming and Abuela is watching. But then Blakeman reached
back into the history books. Well, back to 2022.
That's when Kathy Hochul said out loud on purpose
that young black kids growing up
in the Bronx don't even know what the word computer is.
Now let that marinate, guys.
The governor of New York talking about kids in her own state like they
live in a cave and send smoke signals.
So Blakeman fired back. In her own state-funded schools,
sixth graders have computers right there
in the classroom. Then the line,
they know more about computers than you'll ever know.
Boom. Now picture Kathy Hochul standing
their mouth half open cotton mouth blinking like
a laptop that got asked to install 47 new updates
nothing came out no comeback no i misspoke nothing
and the moderator's very next question
artificial intelligence look don't minimize what new yorkers
are capable of doing just because they
come from a small town i think that's
a bias just like Kathy Hochul said that black kids in the
Bronx don't know what a computer is.
Do you even know that in your schools, Kathy Hochul, that you
find that in sixth grade they get computers in the classroom?
They know more about computers than
you'll ever know. Young black kids growing up in the Bronx
who don't even know what the word
computer is. They don't know. They don't know these things.
You can't even write this stuff,
guys. Meanwhile, those Bronx kids,
they're out there building apps, editing videos, and fixing
grandma's phone in 30 seconds flat.
Meanwhile, Kathy Hochul, she probably still can't even get
her printer to stop saying offline.
So you guys remember all that Trump blaming? Well,
Blakeman had been waiting for that.
Kathy, Donald Trump didn't raise utility rates 48 times. You did
that. 48 times. This is not a rate hike, guys.
This is a hobby. Blakeman says bills are up 50%
since she became governor. And New Yorkers
are now paying about 70% more than the national average.
So what did Kathy Hochul do?
Well, right before an election, she mailed out a rebate check.
$150. Wow. So generous.
Somebody please call the Nobel Prize Committee. But then Blakeman says
she raised the average bill around $4,000 a year.
And her own state energy researchers
say that it could climb another $4,000 over the next five years.
Kathy, Donald Trump didn't raise utility rates 48 times.
You did. Donald Trump didn't increase
our utility bills by 50% since you've become governor.
You gave $150 back to people in a rebate
in an election year, right before the election,
when you've raised the average bill $4,000 a year,
and your own energy research department says
your policies will raise it another $4,000
in the next five years.
It's out of control, and it's because of you, Kathy.
You know what?
So picture it, right?
The check lands in your mailbox,
and you smile. But then
the electric bill lands right behind it and you stop smiling.
This is not a gift. This is getting
your own wallet back with a bow on it. Oh, and then you
hit the gas pump. Then you hit the grocery store.
Even toilet paper costs more. In New York, you
can't even afford to sit down. Every wipe's going to cost you.
Now, here's the number that should
really make New York spit out their coffee.
Blakeman says Kathy Hochul spent $8 billion
of your money on illegal immigrants.
Free food, free housing, free rides, and yes,
a free cell phone. Free cell phone.
Meanwhile, you're paying full price and
still getting one bar in your own kitchen.
We have news you haven't heard.
US News and World Report says I have the safest county in
America. So I back law enforcement
and I back the laws of both our federal government and our state
government. And I give our law enforcement professionals
the tools they need to keep us
safe. But you say you spent $4 billion on law enforcement.
Well, you spent $8 billion on
illegal migrants and gave them more benefits than New Yorkers get.
How does that make any sense?
Now, picture a regular family in Buffalo
or Long Island sitting at the kitchen table,
bills spread out like a losing hand of poker.
You got mortgage, you got the electric bill,
you got car insurance, groceries. Do the math, guys.
Then do it again because it never adds up.
and New York is already the highest taxed state in America.
Congratulations, we're number one
in the wrong thing. Why are you even proud of that?
Blakeman's pitch was simple. Cut taxes,
cut utility bills in half, end cashless bail,
make the whole state as safe as he made Nassau County.
Then he looked straight into the camera
and asked New York one question. What have you got to lose?
Honestly, at these prices, ain't a whole lot to lose.
So who is Kathy Hochul taking on the road
to win you over. Zoran Mamdani,
the mayor of New York City, bold choice. It's kind of like
bringing a skunk to a job interview.
So Blakeman didn't hold back. He said Mamdani talks about
collectivism. In plain English,
this pretty much means somebody else gets a say over your stuff,
your house, your property, your business.
But then he pointed out that Mamdani couldn't find
one hour to attend the installation of New York's new archbishop.
One hour for the biggest religion
in the city. But I'm pretty sure his calendar was absolutely packed.
But then Blakeman said
it flat out. He believes Mamdani is anti-Semitic,
anti-Christian, and doesn't share American values.
Now that lands hard in a state
with more Jewish families than any other state in the country.
Blakeman, who is Jewish himself,
he has made fighting anti-Semitism a big part of his campaign.
So Kathy Hochul is touring upstate with the one guy
that upstate is most nervous about.
Nothing says unity quite like that.
So if this feels familiar, it should. Just weeks ago,
Attorney General Letitia James stepped onto
a debate stage against Saritha Kamaredi,
and she got cooked medium well, maybe even well done for all we know.
New York spends $126 billion on Medicaid every year.
That's more per resident than any other
state in the country, twice per resident than New Jersey.
That doesn't make any sense. We're
both blue states with similar demographics and similar policies.
There's about $40 billion
of unexplained spending.
Letitia James has failed to investigate. The reality is we used
to have one of the best Medicaid fraud units in the country.
Under previous Democratic
Attorney Generals, Cuomo, Schneiderman,
we recovered about $250 million a year. Letitia
James came in and it took a nosedive to $19 million.
Under previous Democratic Attorney
generals. We got about 100 criminal convictions a year.
Under Letitia James, we came to an all-time
low of eight. She gets 2,000 patient abuse complaints a year
and gets maybe one or two
convictions. That means someone's punching
an elderly patient in the nursing home and no one's
doing anything. It's lost money. It's pain for patients.
It's lost medical care. It's a total
injustice. Thank you. And the attorney general needs to go out.
So now Kathy Hochul ran the
same play. Bigger stage, bigger flop.
Ever notice these folks just absolutely hate these debates?
Now you know why. Put them behind a podium with no script
and voters start asking one dangerous
question. How did this person ever win?
It's a fair question. Kathy Hochul didn't exactly win
her way in. She got the job when Andrew Cuomo resigned in a scandal.
This is like inheriting
a car with no brakes and then calling yourself a race driver.
Then in 2022, she squeaked right
past Lee Zeldin in the closest New York governor race
in decades. So here's the map.
Upstate and the suburbs lean red.
New York City, with more than 8 million people, lean blue. So
the city carries her every time.
But after this debate, even the city is squinting a little bit
harder. So this really isn't a New York thing,
or at least it's not just a New York thing. You got
Michigan, Texas, California, New Jersey, all across the country.
These midterm races, they're
reminding people exactly why they voted the way they did.
The border, the prices, the feeling
that everybody in charge was listening.
So here's a very simple idea. You need an ID to board a
plane, to buy cold medicine, to pick up a package at the post office.
You would think choosing a
governor might rank somewhere above Sudafed.
Election day is November 3rd. Bruce Blakeman
for governor, Saritha Komireddy for attorney general.
But being mad on the couch doesn't
count, guys. Only showing up count.
So picture this, a line wrapped around a polling place in
the Bronx, Dominican grandmas, young dads,
retired cops, people who got ignored for years,
finally getting heard. Make it so big that nobody can ignore.
And if this opened your eyes a little
bit, hit the like button on the way out,
then go out there and make some noise. And the debate
ends tonight, but the fallout doesn't.
Rate hikes, tax changes, even new policies get decided
quietly long after the cameras go home,
and somehow nobody ever mails you a heads up.
The Ron Yates Report newsletter does that.

what's coming for your paycheck before it hits.
