In the year of 1839, King Mangrai built the city of Chiang Mai as the center of the kingdom of Anjakrana and sent it as the capital of the Kingdom of Mangrai.
In the year of 1861, King Mangrai sent 80,000 soldiers to the capital of Chiang Mai.
The relationship between Lanna and China also changed.
King Chai Songkram or Khunkram, the second prince of King Mangrai, ascended to the throne and used Chiang Rai as the capital.
In the year of 1857, China sent a large number of troops to Lanna again, but could not capture King Chai Songkram.
Only King Namthuong, the second prince of King Chai Songkram, was found in the city of Chiang Tung.
According to Chinese documents, King Namthuong did not welcome King Chai Songkram with respect.
On the contrary, King Chai Songkram had to offer his clothes and horse to King Namthuong.
In addition, it was also written in the document that Lanna's side took the opportunity by relying on the power of China to control the war of its own until it succeeded.
However, due to the political situation in Lanna itself, there was a fight for power.
Due to Khunkrua, the third prince of King Mangrai, was the governor of Lanna and the capital of Southern Thailand.
While King Chai Songkram or Khunkram governed Chiang Tung, Chiang Rai and Farn.
By King Chai Songkram, King Saengphu, the governor of Lanna, ruled the city of Chiang Mai.
It turned out that Khunkrua cooperated with the people of Lanna and successfully mobilized troops around Chiang Mai and mobilized troops around Farn.
King Chai Songkram sent King Namthuong, who ruled the city of Chiang Tung, to defend Farn.
For this reason, King Namthuong used the strategy of lending a hand to China by bringing all the Chinese to join the march against the Khunkrua troops in Farn.
When Khunkrua learned that China was on the same side as King Namthuong, he retreated.
Moreover, while he was in Farn, King Namthuong still raised all kinds of excuses to keep all the Chinese in Farn,
and did not allow them to guard King Chai Songkram in Chiang Rai.
The reason was that King Namthuong was afraid of the return of the troops.
In 1858, King Chai Songkram of Lanna offered Banagarn to China as an elephant that had received two rows of training,
traveling with four ladies to follow the Chinese emperor to the Chinese capital.
Next, the situation in the southwestern region of China began to change.
In 1859, the Chinese royal family began to occupy land in Kwan-Sib-Song-Pan-Na,
and operated under the administration of Mon-Ton-Yu-Nan.
Mon-Ton-Yu-Nan was directly affected by Lanna,
because Lanna had to lose the house of his brother-in-law who had land directly attached to China.
Therefore, the position of Lanna to China began to change.
At that time, Lanna himself had internal problems.
After King Namthuong was able to successfully resist Khunkrua
and rule the province for four years,
King Chai Songkram appointed King Namthuong as the king of Chiang Mai.
But because Namthuong was a strong man,
the king still had a good relationship with the royal family of China.
Perhaps for this reason, King Chai Songkram was afraid and changed his mind
not to allow Namthuong to rule Chiang Mai.
However, King Chai Songkram ordered Namthuong to move to Chiang Tung,
which was the province of King Chai Songkram,
and ordered King Saen Phu to rule Chiang Mai again.
This incident probably made King Namthuong a little worried.
In 1868, King Chai Songkram died.
King Saen Phu ascended to the throne of Lanna as King Saen Phu.
This incident probably had a direct effect on King Namthuong,
which made King Chai Songkram rely on the power of the Chinese to help King Saen Phu.
Therefore, King Namthuong accepted the power of the Chinese by sending him an edict.
When the news reached King Saen Phu, King Chai Songkram was also worried.
King Chai Songkram sent an edict to China,
expecting that he would send King Khun Phu, the son of King Namthuong,
to present the Chinese throne.
From China's point of view,
it is possible that China supported King Namthuong,
and at the same time accepted the edict from King Saen Phu.
It is also possible that China saw the conflict that took place in Lanna,
which was divided into two parts.
The acceptance of the edict in the form of an edict
led to a conflict between China and Lanna,
which resulted in the weakening of Lanna's power.
At the same time, China began to influence and control Lanna.
In the year 1872,
King Saen Phu moved Lanna's royal palace to Chiang Saen.
King Saen Phu sent King Khun Phu to protect Chiang Mai instead.
Scholars expect that King Saen Phu's move to Chiang Saen
was probably to deny power to King Namthuong,
who was in charge of Chiang Tung.
This appeared according to the Chiang Tung government.
Next, the Chiang Tung people offered to King Namthuong
as the capital of the Kingdom of Nakhon or Chiang Tung,
which is the largest city,
no less than Chiang Rung and Chiang Mai in the future.
In the year 1876,
King Yuen Bu Jong ascended to the throne as the third and last king of this kingdom.
The reason was caused by natural disasters and internal power strife,
causing China under King Yuen to begin to lose power
and the result was that the power of Lanna began to decline as well.
In the reign of King Sam Phan Kaen,
he was the eighth ruler of the Kingdom of Mang Rai.
He ascended to the throne in 1931
at the age of 13 years old.
At that time, it was the Ming Dynasty of China
which had just returned to expand its influence north of the Asia-Pacific region of the South China Sea.
In the same year, China sent Lanna to the throne
and Lanna offered the throne to the Chinese government,
resulting in a smooth relationship between China and Lanna.
As for King Sam Phan Kaen,
he was the sixth ruler of the Kingdom of Mang Rai.
The most important king to be mentioned was King Lhok,
or later King Ti Lokkarat.
King Lhok was the sixth ruler of the Kingdom of Mang Rai.
In the year 1852,
King Sam Phan Kaen sent King Lhok to the throne.
While King Soi, the tenth ruler of the Kingdom of Mang Rai,
was sent to the throne.
It is said that King Lhok committed a crime
and King Sam Phan Kaen was punished
by sending him to rule the southern province of Mae Serieng.
In the year of 1985,
King Lhok, together with his wife in Chiang Mai,
seized the throne from King Chabida
and ascended to the throne at the age of 34,000 years.
King Sam Phan Kaen's army had to flee to the province of Sa.
King Soi sent King Sam Phan Kaen to the province of Phang
and contacted the kings of the provinces
to help King Chabida regain his power.
But it turned out that the kings of other provinces did not agree to help.
Only Muen Thern Sam Kaihan,
the king of Thern Province, supported him.
Muen Thern Sam Kaihan himself
was related to King Sukhothai.
So he contacted the army of Somdet Phra Balom Tai Lokanat
of Ayutthaya Province
to wage war against Chiang Mai
from King Tik Lokarat.
At the same time, King Tik Lokarat
was supported by Muen Lok Sam Lan
and led the army of Lompang, Chiang Mai
to attack Phang.
It turned out that King Soi could not fight
so he had to flee to Thern Province.
The army of Lompang followed him to attack Thern.
King Soi fought until the end of the battle.
Muen Lok Sam Lan controlled Muen Thern Sam Kaihan
and King Sam Phan Kaen down to Chiang Mai.
At the same time, the army of Ayutthaya
also led the army to Thern.
Muen Lok Sam Lan led the army down to Thern.
He was able to resist the army of Ayutthaya
and retreated.
King Tik Lokarat was ordered to execute
Muen Thern Sam Kaihan.
King Sam Phan Kaen, who was a monk
was sent to fight in Noi
until the end of the battle in the year of 1990.
It can be seen that
the war between King Lanna and King Ayutthaya
began with King Ayutthaya
giving aid to King Muen Thern Sam Kaihan
and King Muen Thern.
King Manglai, who ruled King Lanna,
continued to rule for 262 years
until the year of 2101.
King Buleng Nong, a Burmese
of King Hong Sawadee,
led the army to fight in Chiang Mai
and captured King Lanna,
who was in a weak condition.
King Hong Sawadee ordered King Manglai
to rule King Lanna under the rule of Burmese
for more than 200 years.
