The touching secrets of Thanh Minh's New Year's Day and the 6 terrible things that no one knows about.
After the fire was put out, the body of the late mother was buried under a tree.
To mourn and commemorate him, people from all over Son Mountain, Bien Thuong,
did not set fire or cook on that day.
Every year, on the day of the death of the late mother,
that is, on March 3, according to the royal decree,
people only ate cold food that had been prepared the day before.
Ladies and gentlemen,
when it comes to Thanh Minh's New Year's Day,
no one in Vietnam can help but think of the images of Thanh Minh
in the scrolls engraved in the two psalms of the great poet Hao Nguyen Du.
Thanh Minh, in March's New Year's Day,
was supposed to be a grave digger.
Therefore, Thanh Minh's New Year's Day is often associated with the custom of digging graves
and the ritual of offering cakes to the ancestors of the Vietnamese people.
However, there is also a very touching story behind Thanh Minh's New Year's Day
that I think not everyone knows.
So right after this, I, Duc, and Dong Tay Kim Co
would like to invite you to follow this meaningful and sad story.
The origin of Thanh Minh's New Year's Day
and the touching story that not everyone knows.
The name of Thanh Minh's New Year's Day
and the custom of digging graves,
that is, the grave digging of the deceased,
originated from quite a long time ago in the Asian culture.
And perhaps it is related to the story
about King Tan Van Cong
and the god of death,
the story goes like this.
The books of Chu Liet Quoc and Ta Chuyen
all say that
Tan Van Cong,
the real name is Prince Trung Nghi,
was the late emperor of Tan Thoi Xuan Thu.
He was the prince of King Tan Hien Cong.
Since he was a child,
he has always respected the artists,
valued the present
and received a lot of love.
When he grew up,
he had to leave the palace
and travel all over the country.
In the years of exile,
Prince Trung Nghi
had to live in extreme poverty.
He did not have a place to live.
He did not have enough food and water.
His life was on the verge of extinction.
Once in a famine,
Trung Nghi died
lying on the ground.
The people around him
had to walk all the way
without finding a place to eat.
He was so worried
that a monk
cut meat on his thigh
and cooked it for him.
When Trung Nghi woke up,
he was deeply moved
by the loyalty of the monk
and his tears did not stop.
After nearly two decades of exile,
under the support of the government,
Prince Trung Nghi
returned to Tan Thoi Xuan Thu
and conquered Giang Son.
He became the king
of Tan Thoi Xuan Thu.
After conquering Giang Son,
Prince Trung Nghi
immediately rewarded the monks
who had served him
for more than ten years.
However, he forgot
the loyalty of the monk.
People who had served him
for 18 years
had to suffer a lot
and sometimes
cut meat on their thighs
and cooked it for the king
When Tan Van Cong
just ascended the throne,
he only congratulated him
once and took him home.
He was poor
and had to work
to support his mother
and live on.
When Tan Van Cong
rewarded the monks,
the king forgot
and did not ask anything
because the monk was not there.
The monk's neighbor
who was not rewarded
allowed the king
to report to the monk.
But the monk
did not say anything.
His parents heard
that the monk
had to work
for 18 years
and cut meat
to serve the king.
Why didn't he say anything
and reward him?
The monk replied
Among the sons of the king,
Tan Van Cong was kinder
so he let him sit.
Those who followed the monk
did not know the will of God
and dared to recognize themselves as monks
and thought it was a shame
not to work to earn a living.
His parents said
even if he did not want to be a monk,
he should come to the monastery
to get rid of the work
of cutting meat for the king.
The monk replied
If you don't want to be a monk,
why do you come to the monastery?
You just want to find a quiet place
and live a happy life.
His parents were very happy
and said
What you said is
exactly what I want.
I was born like that.
In short, I advise you
to find a secluded mountain forest.
After that, I took my mother
to a remote place
which was a quiet place
My mother and I lived in a haunted house.
The only person who knew
about this was the school principal.
The school principal
did not like my mother
so he wrote
a letter
at the gate of the city.
The letter said
There was a dragon
who was in great danger
and took a snake
to the market.
The dragon did not eat
the snake
and the dragon
was saved.
The dragon was relieved
and followed the dragon
to the market.
