Hello everyone, we meet again in the Life Skills program.
In recent years, some parents have brought their children to farms in remote areas so that they can be in harmony with nature.
And more importantly, children can learn lessons from their work in life, which is farming,
so that they can combine the knowledge they learn in class with practical knowledge,
know a lot of facts and facts in life, and more importantly, understand the values of labor.
However, not all parents want their children to experience farming experiences,
and for many different reasons, they made such a decision.
That's why coming to today's Life Skills program, we will talk about this topic
to understand the benefits of letting children experience farming experiences.
And I would like to introduce you to the guests of today's program,
Dr. Dang Lieu Hoa, Director of the Era House Long Bien Educational Farm.
Hello Ms. Hoa, I am very happy to welcome you to today's Life Skills program.
First of all, I would like to share with you a very special story.
Perhaps it is both fun and sad when we read the essays of children
who have to describe an animal or a tree.
For example, when you have to describe a pig,
many children say that the pig has a very long cheek, a very curved and curvy tail.
Some children even say that a rice plant is as tall as a palm tree.
That's why people start to think that many children are lacking
practical knowledge of the phenomena around us.
What do you think about this situation?
When you describe a pig or a chicken, it is true because you can see the reality.
However, when you come into contact with nature,
the way you describe it will be very different.
I don't use everyday objects to compare.
I don't use words that are too funny.
What do you think is the cause of this situation?
The learning environment of children is being neglected
because there is only a classroom environment.
There are too few classes for children.
Today, we have a topic called
When children learn to experience farming,
many people will ask what farming is.
Can you share more about it?
Farming is just a small part of the process of developing children
to learn about the natural intelligence
and to use natural activities to increase the creativity of children.
Farming is a very simple task.
It is learning how to grow a plant from a seed
and observing how the seed grows.
First, it is to increase the creativity of children
to support other types of intelligence,
such as math, art, etc.
That is the main goal of farming.
We don't just learn farming, we also do agriculture.
Specifically, when children are involved in farming,
what will they learn and experience?
For example,
the two best lessons are planting and taking care of pets.
Before a lesson, we teach children
how to grow a plant or an animal,
how farmers have to work hard
to get vegetables and rice
for us to eat.
After that, we let children practice.
For example, planting, planting seeds,
mixing food for pets,
and feeding them.
We don't just feed them grass.
We teach them how to grow it
so that they can eat it.
That's what they have to learn.
After learning these skills,
they can have fun and return to nature.
For example, fishing and horse riding.
One more thing.
I'm sure parents care a lot about
their children's age.
We should let children learn about farming.
Can you share more about this?
For children,
I can give you 10 questions.
For adults, 10 questions is enough.
Children can accept 7 questions,
and 3 questions can be used elsewhere.
For children,
they just have to learn those questions.
But the way we teach them
will become simpler words.
We will teach them more comprehensive concepts.
For example, 10 questions is enough
for children to learn 2-3 questions.
But in their heads,
there are words to put in their heads.
When they meet those questions again,
they will be better than those
who have never met those questions.
So the sooner, the better.
For example,
if you were to learn about a tree
or an animal,
what would you do?
For example,
if we were to learn about a tree
or an image,
like a rooster,
we need to have a rooster ready
to teach children
how to hatch and lay eggs.
For example, a rooster can lay eggs,
and a rooster can lay eggs.
How many legs does a rooster have?
For example,
a rooster has 4 legs,
and a rooster has 2 legs.
They learn very quickly.
So when we talk about rooster hatching,
we are talking about science, right?
Yes.
Then they will remember that science.
After hearing that,
parents who are watching this program
must be very curious and interested
in such science experiments.
So now,
I would like to invite you and the audience
to watch this program together.
If parents,
and even children,
know that there are such experiments,
what will they say?
It is quite common for children
to be in contact with the current farm model.
The fact that children often live in the natural environment,
witnessing the growth and growth of the tree,
not only brings children basic knowledge
about natural life,
but also helps stimulate their thinking
is a great way to help the child's brain
develop well.
In fact,
children are also encouraged to learn
about environmental protection,
the importance of clean food,
safety in everyday life.
The experience of being a farmer
really brings children
new and unusual feelings.
The hands-on activities
are precious moments
that are unforgettable for urban children.
I like to play here.
This is the first time I've been to a farm.
I like to feed the goats.
I really like to feed the animals
and plant trees.
I like to plant vegetables.
Today, I realized that
I have to love the animals,
not kill them.
I really like to play like this.
I really like it.
My mom always takes me here to play.
I think that after today,
the students have gained a lot of benefits
for the children.
First of all,
the children are peaceful and natural,
different from other playgrounds
that are confined to a confined space.
Second,
the children participate in the game
and create a spirit of unity.
Third,
the children experience
the hard work of the farmers
and create their gratitude
when they enjoy the results of their labor.
When you come to the area of Rua Rau,
you can participate in a lot of games
and experience a lot of interesting challenges.
Most of the students have a strong spirit of unity.
They are very excited
when they turn their daily knowledge into games.
I think that for the children,
they will learn a lot of knowledge
in learning and having fun.
For example,
they don't know how to make rice
and how to make a rice mill.
When they come here,
they will understand.
I come here because I hope
I can get in touch with the work of the farmers.
I want my children to have knowledge
and have a better understanding.
I think that
if you learn to be a farmer,
there may be dangers to your children.
For example,
if you learn to grow trees,
you will be exposed to dirt,
mud,
pests and insects.
Even if you use it for your garden,
it will be dangerous for your children.
Or if you learn to take care of your livestock,
you will be exposed to diseases.
If there are such responses,
do you have any ways
to make your parents understand?
For us,
when we open a farm like this,
we must have a way to deal with diseases.
The most effective way
is to use biology.
To eradicate diseases
right from the process of livestock.
It's not when we have children,
that we eradicate diseases.
It's the same for plants.
For plants,
we will never use chemicals
to protect plants
as well as chemicals.
So that when your children play,
no matter where they are,
even if they touch the leaves,
it will never affect their health.
But how do you ensure the safety
of your children when they ride horses?
Or for example,
if they don't know how to swim,
do you have any safety measures?
There are many safety measures
because we work with young people.
So the people around the boat
must know how to swim.
And when they ride a boat,
they do it on their own,
but there must be someone
to help them when necessary.
Before riding a horse,
you must learn how to ride it safely.
The horse must be able to understand
why it is not standing behind the horse.
So obviously,
the children must understand the horse.
And the horse likes to wag its tail.
It must know how to wag its tail,
then ride it.
Those are the necessary lessons.
And when riding a horse,
you must ride it and support it.
You can't just do whatever it wants to do.
So you always have to keep an eye on it.
Yes, that's right.
And you have to do it consistently
to ensure safety.
One last question.
If the parents want to experience it with their children,
is it possible?
We never hide any lesson
from the children
to teach them to their parents.
We even encourage the parents
to participate with the children.
Then the children can feel comfortable.
And when the parents and the teachers
play together,
they can understand our ideas.
And at least,
we can create better lessons
in the future.
And I think there is another important point
that when we learn and experience
with the children,
the effect will be more.
And the love between the children
for the parents and the teachers
will be more intense.
Thank you very much for coming to the show today.
It's very interesting.
And I think many parents
are very interested in this
to make the right decision
for their children to participate
in this kind of experiment.
Yes, ladies and gentlemen,
through today's show,
we hope that the parents
have understood
how to let their children
participate in the experiment
to farm,
and especially the benefits
of working
and be able to step into life.
And here we would like to conclude
today's show.
Thank you for watching.
Goodbye and see you
in the next show.
