Toilet
You can buy it as a souvenir
I'm from Kashinny, Tokyo
I'm an exchange student
I do not speak Japanese
Maybe you can say Konnichiwa
Konnichiwa
That should be enough
That is about as much as I eat here
You came here to travel to Japan?
For work
What, so you live in Japan
No, we live in Cananda
That' cool
What do you do for your living?
We work for, we work in the video game industry.
Oh wow, so you do like programming or something?
Oh yeah, that's so cool.
Oh my gosh.
Today I want to ask about Japanese toilet.
Okay, sure, yeah.
Do you like it?
I, yeah, it's fantastic.
Fantastic?
I have a bidet at home.
I was recently converted into the bidet lifestyle and I really love it.
And then to see the ones here, they're even more advanced, they got like heated seats.
And I think Charles, yeah, they really do it.
I think Charles was skeptical at first, but it has now been converted.
And I don't know if there's ever any turning back.
I'm so sorry.
I have to buy one when I get home.
Oh, you know what?
It's not that expensive to buy.
So if you want, you can buy as a souvenir.
I would love to take one home, but I think that's probably over my carry-on limit.
So I'll look for one online, I think.
That's what I did, that's what I have.
I have an attachment, yeah.
Compared with your country, what's the difference between Canadian toilet and Japanese toilet?
So I think that bidets are not really that popular in Canada,
or they weren't up until I'd say maybe a few years ago.
But I think when you explain to anyone the logic of why you might use a bidet
and why water is probably better than cleaning the human body than paper,
I think you end up converting them as well, or at least getting them thinking about it.
And then once you try it, I feel like you get on board.
For me, it's the amount of features.
Toilets in Canada, it's just a toilet.
Yeah.
And over here, there's a control panel.
There are graders.
I mean, there are probably some automation.
I was really impressed, really impressed by them.
So I'm seriously considering it.
We can spend like one day in toilet, right?
Because we have a lot of functions.
I'm kidding, I'm kidding.
I'm not sure I should answer that.
Yeah, I think it's amazing.
Because I was in America like three weeks ago,
and then I felt like it's completely different.
No, it's a downgrade.
If that's your normal standard,
you're going really, really to the bottom, like one feature toilet.
I think like globally, there are worse toilets.
I think there are like certain toilets that I feel like I would not be able to handle.
Yeah, that's it.
We're somewhere maybe in the middle.
Yeah.
What about the public toilet like at the park or like on the street?
Do you have it?
Yeah, but actually we're talking about that.
Like there's a really...
They're not as clean public toilets in Canada.
They're less maintenance.
They exist, but they're more rare than here in Canada.
Yeah, probably not as well taken care of.
More graffiti, I'd say.
You have to go into like a restaurant or like shopping mall
when you want to use toilet.
That's right.
Depends where you are.
I think like in major cities,
like they'll probably want you to like buy something before you go in,
but in a lot of places, you sort of can.
There's always the McDonald's.
Yeah, okay.
We used that option here last night.
Okay, thank you so much.
That's all the question.
And have fun in Japan.
Thank you so much.
