Go out there, be yourself, and yeah, you can have it.
Yeah.
And you are? I'm Aled.
Aled, nice to meet you.
Hello, Aled.
Nice to meet you too.
I've seen your name on the list.
John's Boys.
And your name's not John.
You just told me it's Aled.
You've been calling me John all day, man.
We've got no John in the choir.
John's Boys is a choir.
My dad was John Glynn.
He was the conductor.
So that's where we got the name John's Boys from.
We've got an Anson Deck in the choir, haven't we?
Anson Deck.
Just help yourself to my lips.
We started, I think, it was six years ago, for general entertainment, really.
We're all friends and family, and that's what it's about.
What actually is the price?
250,000.
How many members have we got?
I don't know.
Resting them down a bit.
We've got teachers, tree surgeons, welders.
We've got car salesmen.
But we all come together through our love of singing.
We have a close connection, despite the age gap.
We all get along.
It's all yours, fellas.
Good luck, Dick.
Good luck, Ann.
What's the big dream for John's Boys?
Worldwide tour would be nice.
Good luck!
Enjoy it.
Good luck!
He's the last.
Hello.
So who are you?
We are John's Boys male chorus.
We're from a village in North Wales called Rhos Llanwchrigog.
I know it.
So you get together, what, once or twice a week?
We rehearse on a Sunday afternoon, and we're rehearsing in a cow shed.
Just to see two-legged people is marvellous, all these people.
OK.
Do you think you can win?
OK.
Right.
Best of luck.
Thank you.
Thank you, John.
Be good.
Didn't know that I'd fall so hard, then my feet left the ground.
Gravity don't make no sense when you're around.
I come up against myself when demons in my head get loud.
I don't know how you do it, but you turn them down.
I still don't wonder who I'd be if I never found you and you never found me.
I want to see.
So won't you hear me tonight and the rest of your life?
I want to have it all with you.
And when you open your eyes, I'll be there by your side.
I want to have it all with you.
Because your love is biblical.
Biblical.
I still don't wonder what I'd do if you didn't exist.
I'm telling you, the blend of your voices, the balance, the harmonies, it was divine.
I felt really I was in music heaven.
Perfection. Perfection.
Alicia.
Yeah, I really, really loved the arrangement.
It was really powerful.
You sounded very rich and full-bodied and gorgeous together.
It was a really powerful audition, actually.
Yeah, well done.
Amanda.
As soon as I knew you were a male voice choir and you're from Wales,
I said to Alicia, I'm going to cry.
It was just an exceptional audition,
and I keep thinking of you in the cow shed with all the cows.
It was really, really good.
It started with a great lead, great harmonies, great choice of song.
It did. You started it so well.
There's a lot of pressure on you.
You know, we've had a lot of choirs on the show,
and, you know, no-one's had that moment apart from now.
This is the moment.
Bruno.
Oh, he's a yes!
Si, bravi!
Alicia.
I'm saying yes.
It's a yes from me.
That's three.
And now you've got four yeses. Congratulations.
CHEERING
That is the best vocal we had in the choir, by far.
You know when it's real and it hits you so much.
Oh, yeah, I was crying as well.
Well done, Jack.
Well done, Jack. Where's Ant?
Oh, well done, Ant. Well done, Ant.
Well done.
It sounded incredible, fellas, honestly.
I could have listened to you all night, honestly.
Wonderful.
CHEERING
Ooh!
Oh, no, don't. You're not allowed to put that on.
Don't mug me off straight away.
I've got people who love me, people who stay.
Hi, my name's Abi Carter-Simpson, I'm 30 years of age,
and I'm a teacher from West London.
The ukulele, is that part of educating young minds?
No, no, no. I've offered a few times to sing for the kids.
I love that they said no.
No, literally, they're so embarrassed.
I've always thought teachers are absolutely amazing,
and now I'm a primary school teacher
and I love every single bit of it.
The reason why I wanted to come on Britain's Got Talent this year
is because I just feel if there's any passion in life
that you still have, like, a burning desire to carry on doing,
then you need to keep on doing it.
Life's about just living. Do it.
I've got people who love me, people who stay.
Nice to meet you. Nice to meet you too.
You all right? I'm all right, how are you?
Oh, madame, thank you. Why are you here?
I am here to perform. Good. That's why. That's good.
That's what we need. Have I come to the right place?
Yeah, you have. OK, thank goodness.
What's the worst that could happen?
Four buzzes, but...
..we'll be positive.
My worst instrument is recorder, accordion.
Hello. What's your name?
My name is Abbey Carter-Simpson.
Where are you from? I am from Essex.
CHEERING
How old are you? I'm 30.
Is this what you do for a day job?
No, I am a teacher.
What do you teach? I teach year six.
Oh, that's my daughters here.
That's a great age.
Have you got any of your pupils in the audience today?
No, they don't know I'm here, so... Oh, wow.
Yeah. And what will you say to them on Monday?
I'll tell them that I got through with flying colours...
But you are following accordion, right?
Hear that? Yeah, I know, I heard the buzzes,
but I just thought that was just getting into practice.
All right. OK. Good luck.
Thank you so much.
They say life is what you make it,
your future's in your hands.
When you're a kid at school,
you plan out all these different plans.
Do you ever have a birthday?
Look at your past over your shoulder
and say to yourself, I won't lie,
but I thought things would be a bit different when I was older.
When I was with a child,
my teacher said, what do you want to be?
I said, I want to be famous, sir.
And no, not one, I learned, but three.
Any tips, Simon?
I said, I want to be an explorer, yes, miss.
The world I want to see.
But it's safe to say
these young dreams of mine
weren't quite 2023.
You see, I thought I felt like an adult
at the age of 21,
but turns out a decade later
those feelings still ain't quite begun.
I thought I'd be financially stable
by the age of 25,
but I'm well into my 30s
and can just about keep myself alive.
The kids, their brains, they're the best of the bunch.
Dream of winning the World Cup whilst having their lunch.
Dream of being a scientist or finding the answer.
A singer-songwriter, a world-famous dancer.
I want to be an astronaut. I want to go to space.
I want to be an athlete. Look, miss, I won my race.
I stand at the finish line and shout, hooray!
In my head, think I could barely do counts to 5K.
Miss, I'll be a nurse, a chef, a writer. Can I do it?
Yes, of course you can, if you put your mind to it.
I wish I was a child again
To let my dreams run free
So let us all be kids again
Potato smileys for our tea
Try and live our lives to the fullest
In whatever we endeavour
Come on, let's face our childhood dreams together
You know, you can be what you want to be
Whatever
Cos we won't be on this Earth
Forever
What did you think?
My God, that's why we have an audience.
You know, you're very likeable.
Very sweet. I like the message.
It was kind of fun.
I'm just so mesmerised by you.
I'm like, she's nice, she's cool,
she's smart, she's funny, she's got a great tone,
she's got a great message.
I loved it.
Love you. Thank you.
I absolutely loved it because
you manage with your writing to be funny
at the same time saying very, very valid things.
We like people that really have
such a range of talent.
I think you could be on that bracket.
You're just amazing.
You are absolutely fabulous.
I can only echo everything Alicia said.
You are really clever, super bright
and very funny.
I always think it's so important to have a fantastic teacher
and I bet you smash it in the classroom as well.
It's been a pleasure to meet you.
Oh, yes.
Alicia?
It's a yes from me.
Simon?
It's a yes from me.
So she managed to make it touching and funny
and between the comedy she's got a pretty good voice.
Yeah.
We thought it was hilarious.
Loved it.
It was really funny but with a lovely, lovely sweet message.
Well done, Abi.
Cheers. Lovely to meet you.
Nice to meet you.
Bye.
Have you done anything like this before?
Hi, I'm Travis George, I'm 22 and I'm from South Wales.
I live with my mother and our lovely cat, Saren.
How are you feeling about it all?
Yeah, Mum.
I've cried three times already.
Being here at Britain's Got Talent,
to him it's a momentous occasion.
This is completely out of anything I've ever attempted.
Today, when I'm standing in the wings
watching my son on that stage,
I am going to be the proudest mother.
I will be delighted if he does get the yes, yes, yes, yes.
Without her constant encouragement and love and care,
I wouldn't really have been able to accomplish anything.
He's not had it easy
and I just think he deserves a break,
he deserves something really good to happen
and I'm really hoping it will.
Welcome.
And what's your name, please?
I am...
My name's Travis George, I'm 22 and...
..and I'm here from South Wales.
And what brought you on the show this year?
I believe that Britain's Got Talent is the greatest opportunity
for any person who wants to try and achieve their dream in the UK.
I...
I love singing. That's always been the dream.
What is your dream? What kind of singer are you?
Where would you like to be? I mean, tell me.
Um...
I...
OK, Travis.
So, big day.
All right, Travis, best of luck. Really hope this goes well.
Good luck.
There, out in the darkness
A fugitive running
Fallen from God
Order and light
You are the sentinels
Silent and sure
Keeping watch in the night
You know your place in the sky
You hold your course and your aim
And each in your season returns and returns
And is always the same
And if you fall as Lucifer fell
You fall in flame
So it must be
For so it is written
On the doorway to paradise
Those who falter and those who fall
Must pay the price
Let me find him
That I may see him
In love
This I swear by
The stars
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me
And just forget the world
He's good, isn't he?
Well, you weren't messing around, were you?
Um, Bruno.
Talk about going for it.
I tell you, you could walk into a Western show, a Broadway show tomorrow.
Very, very difficult song.
It sang better than most people I've heard it sang.
I've seen Les Mis countless times,
and you just knocked it out of the park.
Flawless.
You are adorable.
You are so sweet,
and you don't realize how great you are.
I'm really, really happy for you at this moment.
Thank you.
Travis, I mean, it was obviously an amazing audition.
I mean, literally, that's what I call selling a song.
This was an audition we're gonna remember, Travis.
Bruno.
Yes! Yes!
Alicia.
It's a yes from me.
Amanda.
100% yes from me.
What do you think?
That's about 4,000 yeses.
He's so nice.
What do you think, boys?
How did that...
Stay, stay, stay, stay.
There are no words.
Guys, I feel reborn.
Put it on my gravestone, guys.
It's something to remember, you know?
Well, you've got to believe it now.
Travis, lovely to meet you.
You too.
Congratulations.
Very proud.
Very nice to meet you.
You can breathe now.
Thanks, guys.
Well done.
I don't mean to disappoint you anyway.
Yeah, but just cheer backstage.
Right, give me a kiss goodnight.
OK, I love you, sweetheart. I miss you.
Love you.
Hello.
Hello there.
How are you, you two?
Very nervous.
Very nervous?
Yeah.
What are you doing for us?
Gonna sing a song.
And are you mother and daughter?
Yeah.
OK.
I'm for moral support.
Yeah.
Good.
Come on, then, let's get it on.
Come on.
Let's get you on.
Gonna watch?
Stay with us and watch.
Claire, it's all yours.
Have fun.
Hi.
Hello, darling.
How are you?
I think I'm gonna have a heart attack.
What's your name and where are you from?
I'm Claire.
I'm 33 from Liverpool.
Shaking like a leaf.
Tell us about you, Claire.
Do you have a day job?
No, I don't.
I'm a full-time mother.
Have you brought anyone with you today?
I'm here with my 15-year-old daughter.
She thinks it's me auditioning.
What?
I don't know.
She's got me through some very hard times in my life.
I feel like I owe her.
So I'm giving my audition up for my daughter.
Oh, my God.
I'm sorry, I'm not following this.
Sorry, guys.
I'm giving my audition up today for Tia.
That's you, that's you.
So cute.
This is my way of saying she's fabulous.
Because she deserves it and she's an incredible person.
I'm going to need that.
Do you want to go out?
Go on.
I love you so much, Tia.
And we're all very proud of you.
Well, at least she walked out.
A lot of 15-year-olds would be out that door.
My gosh, I love this.
Tia doesn't realise how good she is.
You thought you were just coming for a day out?
To support your mum,
because you thought your mum was going to be doing the audition.
Yeah.
Yeah?
Tia.
Lovely name.
Nice to meet you, darling.
How are you feeling?
Don't know.
Do you want to get yourself together maybe
and then come back and see us a bit later?
Would you like to do that, darling?
Yeah.
Then get yourself prepared.
Thank you very much.
OK.
Wow.
Surprise.
Did you have this before, Tia?
I didn't get it at first.
I didn't understand.
Has this ever happened before?
No.
Well done.
Hello.
Hi.
We meet again.
Tia, when did you first start singing?
I think I was about four.
I usually sing in the shower,
so this is the biggest thing I've ever done.
Feeling ready now, darling?
All prepared?
Well, we're so excited to hear you.
Enjoy this moment.
Good luck.
Thank you.
I'm so nervous.
Are you nervous now?
I had nowhere to turn
I had nowhere to go
Outside of my dreams
Thought it would be the end of me
I thought I'd never make it through
I had no hope to hold on to
I thought I would break
I didn't know my own strength
And I crashed down
And I tumbled
But I did not crumble
I got through all the pain
I didn't know my own strength
So by my darkest hour
My faith kept me alive
I picked myself back up
And held my head up high
I was not built to break
I didn't know my own strength
There were so many times
I wondered how I'd get through the night
I thought I took all I could take
I didn't know my own strength
And I crashed down
And I tumbled
But I did not crumble
I was not built to break
And I don't think
I did know my own strength
I was not built to break
The best surprise you've ever given her
Tia, that song, why did you choose that song?
Because for me it felt like you meant every word
And every word meant something to you
I used to get bullied a lot
And for the colour of my skin
A lot of people picked on me a lot
So that song helps me a lot
And also my mum's the strongest person I've ever met
So I dedicated to her as well
Absolutely smashed it
I think you've got a massive career ahead of you
Well done
Well done Tia
How did that feel?
Amazing
Your mum said that you had an amazing voice
And I agree mum
I think you have a wonderful voice darling
Beautiful tone
Brilliant audition
Smashed it
Well done
Oh absolutely
What a voice
You had an incredible quality
Because you were singing from your soul
I tell you
Fantastic
Got me going
Yeah
That's how you do it
I really love moments like this
You didn't know you were going to audition
Your mum set you up
Go on to sing Whitney Houston
Like it's normal
That was very sweet what you did for your daughter
Because I'm guessing without you doing that
She wouldn't have auditioned
She wouldn't
I absolutely love this audition
And now we're going to decide what we're going to do after that
Bruno
Yes
Thank you
I'm saying yes
Thank you
It's a yes for me
What do you think?
I think that is unanimous
You got four yeses
Well done
I just love the tonality of the voice
Wow what a reaction you got
You were good
You were brilliant
Well done
You were brilliant
Thank you for singing
And thank you for bringing her
Thank you so much
Getting her out there
Yeah
Thank you
Brilliant
That was brilliant
He was knock out
