se this link if you don't mind. Same price to you buy it helps support my channel. When looking at Impact Drivers or Drills, I always recommend you purchase a brushless for longevity. They simply work better and last longer than standard drills. I also like the Ridgid brand for their Lifetime Service Agreement (must register tool).
Welcome back guys it's the Tightwad and today I'm going to show you the easiest
and safest way to remove the blades from your riding mower. There are only a
couple of things you need for this job and one thing you need is a jack. You'll
see I have an actual floor jack but different types of jacks will work. Make
sure your mower is in park before you start jacking it up and the second thing
you need is an impact driver. This is a RIDGID brand impact driver and my blades
have a 5 16th bolt so I have an impact driver with an impact ready adapter
that's very important that you get one of the black impact ready adapters that
fits snug onto a 5 16th socket and we are ready to go removing the blade
safely from the riding mower. If you try to remove the blades with a standard
drill or even a ratchet set the blades will just spin and spin which is
dangerous because they are sharp objects. The impact driver sends short bursts of
power which quickly breaks the nut free and removes it from the bolt stem
instead of spinning the blades themselves. That's what makes this quick
easy and safe. With your mower jacked up and stable make sure you have wheel
chops behind the wheels and now just put my impact wrench on the nut and you'll
see the blade comes right off. Super simple remember the orientation of the
blade the flaps always go up but try to remember the orientation of the blade so
that's one that's two and let me come around to the other side and get the
last one. If you found this video helpful give me a thumbs up and subscribe to my
