Hi everyone. I'm Jennifer Lebedev from English with Jennifer. Do you know that
I've been an English language teacher for over 25 years? I've been on YouTube
since 2007, but my teaching experience goes back to the 1990s. Every year has
been full of growth, but the past 15 or 16 years have been especially rewarding.
In 2022, I hit two major milestones. I turned the big 5-0, and my YouTube
channel hit 1 million subscribers. A lot had been going on in my life, so I
decided to reflect in the way I know best. I wrote about it. And I wrote not
just for myself, but for others who also may be struggling with some of the same
questions about being a content creator, being an online teacher, being in
midlife, and trying to define success on my own terms so that I could achieve the
kind of happiness that matters to me. My book is called Being a YouTuber, One
Creator's Bumpy Road to 1 Million Subscribers. It's not a how-to book, but
it does focus a lot on the how of my 15 years as a YouTuber. How did I feel
throughout the journey? How did I struggle? How did I learn to face
challenges, and how did I grow? How was I influenced and supported by others? How
am I still trying to become a better content creator, teacher, and person? How
am I learning to create a work-life balance? And how am I shifting my mindset
to achieve the kind of success and happiness I desire? If discussing these
kinds of questions has value to you, then I invite you to join me for a live
discussion on November 1st at 1 p.m. Boston. This is a free event and an
opportunity to learn more about my experience as a content creator and
online teacher. I'll welcome questions, and I may ask some of my own for you to
reflect on. So how can you join this live event? Obviously, you need to read the
book in order to talk about it with me, so please see the details in the video
description and learn how you can gain your invitation. Basically, those who
purchase the book and post a review will receive the Zoom link to the
November 1st live event. The good news for those who haven't read the book yet
is that it's short and easy. It's around a hundred pages, and I wrote in a
conversational tone. I hope you'll enjoy reading my insights and benefit from
hearing my story. Let's meet on November 1st and talk about things that matter to
so many of us, achieving a work-life balance, developing a healthy mindset for
our professional lives, and defining success on our own terms. I hope you
agree with me that each one of us is capable of inspiring and being inspired.
If that's the kind of experience you love, then join me on November 1st. Get
your copy of my book, Being a YouTuber, One Creator's Bumpy Road to 1 Million
Subscribers and post your review by October 31st. I'm Jennifer from English
with Jennifer, and I wish you all the best. Follow me on Instagram, Facebook,
Twitter, and Patreon. And don't forget to subscribe here on YouTube. Turn on those
notifications.
