Book Announcement

hey kids nice to see you again i hope you're well um so i have a big announcement for you that i've been waiting to to share but haven't been able to up until this point um you know i've seen in the comments where people said oh you should write a book um and i had to kind of bite my tongue but guess what i've actually written a book so uh i uh i was approached by several publishers um last summer after my channel went viral and i was like i don't know that i can write a book but i chose to work with uh william morrow a division of harper collins cause um yeah they just seem like such a good fit and they've been great you know you make decisions in your life sometimes you go i wish i would have done that but boy i have no regrets these people are professionals and have just been wonderful to work with so i'm pretty excited about it i'll share more with you in just a second first i have a dad joke for you so i was going to write a book about sinkholes but it fell through ah so anyway so this book is about um there's actually two parts to it so the first part um if you have watched me at all for any time you know that i'm one of eight kids i'm actually number seven um and then uh so at my 50th birthday i'm 56 now but on my 50th birthday i went around to each of my siblings and shared one quality trait that i learned from them and i'm grateful for that and it you know helped kind of build who i am as a person um you know each sibling has a lot more character traits than just the one i chose and they overlapped too but uh yeah i felt like i wanted to choose one um and so i'm going to share that with you i'm going to walk through that and share kind of what they what i've learned from them and i think it'll be valuable for you a character trait that i think is a good character trait to to building yourself so um and then the second part is 50 how to's um and so and most of them are are new some of them i you know i tried to pick 50 that i thought would be really valuable for for everybody to know and some of them are um you know finances finances are kind of hard to do on my channel so i shared some of what i've learned with finances that i you know going way back to first learning about mutual funds and you know um what what is you know what is that all about and how to invest and that sort of thing um yeah so i i sure shared those 50 how-to's with you so i think it'll be a resource that you'll just want to have around as well for those 50 how-to's um and let's see so it goes on sale on may 18th and may 18th i'm from the seattle area may 18th is kind of a big day here because that's when mount st helens erupted you know years ago back in 1980 i was 15. i still remember that cloud coming over uh you know like yikes what's going on but um and we got ash in our area so i always remember it you know you have certain things in your life that happen on certain days so so it just so happens that this book is coming out on may 18th there'll be a link in the in the description where you can order the book too you can pre-order it i'll also be doing an audio version of it too um that i'll be personally recording in the next next couple months before or that date so anyway pretty exciting you know i've been having to you know bite my tongue because i couldn't share this with you up until this point but now that it's you know finally coming together i get to share it with you and um then i i'm very grateful for all of you um and the support that you've given me um to give me this opportunity to write a book i'm sure other people you know ah you should write a book and i actually got to write a book pretty pretty exciting i think it goes along with um you know the legacy that i'm hoping to leave with my channel and you know get get to pass along some of the things that i've learned with you so anyway i hope you get a chance to buy it and uh let me know what you think um anyway looking forward to again what the future holds for all of us pretty exciting stuff and i'll talk to you soon god bless you
