If you are a cat lover, we have a must-visit destination for you in Delaware County.
The Cat Nook Cafe in Norwood offers a comfortable spot for people to hang out with some friendly
foster felines, even if they're not looking to adopt.
Action News photojournalist Dan Sheridan takes us inside the nonprofit.
Cats are very loving animals.
They definitely have different personalities.
We are at the Cat Nook Cafe in Norwood.
This is Bentley.
Very cute.
The Cat Nook Cafe is an interactive foster home where people can come and visit with
adoptable cats and help support a local rescue.
We have it set up like a living room with a television, some couches, comfy chairs,
lots of fun toys for the cats, and they get to hang out and have fun.
Their personalities really shine through in a more casual environment as opposed to
cages.
We encourage them to pet the cats.
We allow them to brush some of the cats.
So cute.
And it's important because they really just do a sense, feel a sense and a connection
with the animal.
So on our cafe side here, we do offer k-cups, packaged snacks, and then we have all kinds
of cat-oriented merchandise.
We are a local, small-based non-profit.
All of the cats that are rescued are from the tri-state Delaware County, Philadelphia,
so you're saving lives locally.
You don't have to be looking for a cat to adopt.
You can just be coming to hang out with some cats for a little while.
This is really the best way to improve your mood and brighten your day.
That's so cute.
Our kids would love that place.
I know.
I was gonna say, I could see myself bringing the kids there.
They'd love to pet a cat.
I'm sure they're gonna want one.
I was gonna say, and then you might leave with a new family member.
I told them no more responsibilities for a while.
Also beautifully shot by Dan Sheridan.
Yes.
Such a tremendous talent.
Thanks, Dan.
