'He's already an iconic figure' - Semra Hunter on Jude Bellingham's impressive Real Madrid start

We've got to talk about Jude Bellingham and I know you wouldn't expect anything else but for us to ask you about Jude. I mean, it's been an incredible start. 10 goals in 10 matches. I mean, I've got to be honest, I think we're all a bit surprised over here in the UK about how well he's done. I mean, are the Real Madrid fans surprised, do you think? Well, you're not alone. I think even Carlo Ancelotti and his teammates and even at the club at Real Madrid, they're surprised. Everyone thought it would be good. I don't think anyone thought it would be this good. Maybe Jude Bellingham expected it to be this way, but certainly not the rest of us. I mean, as you say, 10 goals in 10 games, he's shattering numbers. He actually has bettered the record of Cristiano Ronaldo when he came to the club in 2009. In La Liga specifically, they both scored the same amount of goals, eight in eight games. But Jude has more assists, three assists compared to just the one of Cristiano Ronaldo. I mean, he's really already become an iconic figure. Fans love him. They adore him. The Santiago Bernabeu has turned into the temple of Jude Bellingham. And you have these loyal devotees that go and worship him on a regular basis now. Everywhere you go around the ground and even around Madrid, you'll find so many people wearing his shirt, his number, his face plastered everywhere. They absolutely adore him. And they do love to have an iconic figure at Real Madrid, somebody really to, to really adore and worship, as I say. And so I think in so many ways, no one really thought that he would be this good for them. He's supremely talented. There's already been incredible comparisons to the like of Zinedine Zidane, as well as Alfredo Di Stefano, another legendary midfielder for the way that he's so elegant, he's so classy, and he actually has this gazelle like run to him. And the fact that he is so incredibly good on the ball, he has such vision intelligence. He can play box to box. And in this diamond shape with a 4-4-2 that Carlo Ancelotti has created this season, he's completely changed the system in order for everyone to kind of get the best out of Jude Bellingham. Him playing, at least initially, in that 10 role, he can do whatever he wants. He's all over the place. And he's so incredibly effective. No one has more blocks. No one has more passes into the area. No one has more shots on target. No one has more shots full stop in La Liga. He scored 10 goals out of 19 chances. So his return rate is absolutely phenomenal. You just think that we're witnessing history, I think, being made in a lot of senses and greatness actually in the making. And he's someone who is absolutely going to define an era for Real Madrid and perhaps even for Spanish football. Everyone's already forgotten about Karim Benzema. Everyone's already forgotten about Kylian Mbappe. He is the man, and rightly so.
