First things first: @ Ewaranon, what a masterpiece and selection of music! Deep warm thanks for all your releases and efforts! And @ all musicians, bands etc involved, I am sure I speak in the name of many: Your involuntary contribution to this series is soooooo appreciated! Without Ewar´s series many would not know at all that such great and deep touching music exists.
Hallo zusammen
Planet Earth
At some point in the course of our short life, each of us goes into ourselves and thinks about the Earth we inhabit.
From childhood we are taught about the Earth, the Sun, the Moon and space.
We learn something about our solar system and about the planets in it.
We learn something about the Milky Way and the infinite expanses of space.
And we accept these lessons as a fact and eagerly follow our everyday life.
But one day I decided that I wanted to know more about the world and the universe.
I wanted to know everything, so I began to dig.
But after a short time I came across things that made me dizzy.
Hmm, here are a few of these things.
Did you know that our earth ball rotates in space at a speed of about 1600 km per hour
and that the earth, the sun, revolves at a speed of about 107,000 km per hour?
That we travel through the Milky Way galaxy at a speed of over 720,000 km per hour?
And all this while galaxies are moving away from each other at supersonic speed,
because space has been expanding since the Big Bang.
Amazing, isn't it?
And yet not a single person on earth can actually feel this movement.
We can feel the movement in a roller coaster or in a train.
We get travel sickness and when we fall, we feel it all over our body.
But we don't feel a single aspect of the daily journey of the earth through the cosmos.
That's strange.
We have all seen pictures of the earth from space.
In 1972, NASA published the first complete picture of the earth from space with the title
The Blue Marble.
We are amazed at the perfect ball shape and the immeasurable size of the still nothing that surrounds our blue marble.
But did you know that the picture, the blue marble and all subsequent pictures of the earth
that are published by NASA are photomontages?
They are calculated by computers from data and reworked in Photoshop.
There are no pictures of our earth on which you can see it completely as a whole from space.
Who would have thought that?
And then there is gravity.
Einstein proposed the theory that gravity arises from the curvature of space,
which originates from a massive object.
And it is the force that holds us all on earth.
What goes up must come down.
And gravity is so strong that it binds all our oceans firmly to the earth
and has the power to curve them over our rotating planets.
However, it is not strong enough to prevent the birds from gliding through the air,
to float springs in the air and to raise balloons.
Hmm, I suspect that gravity is a very selective force.
The more I dealt with space and physics, the more questions I had.
And I knew that someone out there was much smarter than I had the answers.
But it wasn't just space that fascinated me.
I also learned something about the biological and geographical composition of our world.
And the more I learned, the more strange things I found out that confused me.
It is a biological basic principle that living cells mainly consist of hydrogen and carbon.
And water mainly consists of oxygen and hydrogen.
However, biologists found strange anomalies in the earth poles,
which even amazed Soviet biologists.
They found an unnaturally high amount of water
and at the same time an unusually high amount of carbon dioxide in the oceans.
There is a lot of water, snow and ice on earth.
Do you know what this anomaly tells us?
It indicates a great global fire in the history of the earth,
which, as biologists suspect, destroyed 99% of the biosphere of the world.
What really confuses me is this number, 99%.
This means that everything alive on earth now has a volume of 20,000 times less
and the biochemical mass of all living things is much less than before this huge fire.
Wait a minute, what?
What did the living things look like before this fire?
So there is no doubt that we could benefit from extensive scientific studies about our poles.
Did you know that the Antarctic is the only continent on earth that almost belongs to no one?
In 1959, the nations of the world signed the UN treaty,
which ensures that no country claims the Antarctic.
The treaty prohibits and regulates all global activities on the continent.
Wait a minute.
Since when has any nation given up its urge to own and exploit any country on earth?
I continued to research, which caused me to ask myself one question after the other.
Some things just didn't make sense to me
and it seemed that many parts of the big puzzle were missing or simply unanswered.
And then I came across something so ridiculous and absurd
that I didn't know whether to laugh or get angry.
This is the Flat Earth Society.
A group of like-minded people who hypothesize
that the earth is not really a sphere in a fast-developing universe,
but a flat, immovable plane.
At first I thought it was a joke,
which stirs up a kind of vigilant, religious and creationist denial of scientific progress.
Mankind has lived in the Dark Middle Ages for years
and now we finally have an objective, progressive science
that promotes our understanding of this great mystery.
And the followers of the flat earth think it's okay to spread such anti-scientific theories?
Nevertheless, I thought I'd take a look at it before I completely do it.
Actually, I just wanted to laugh a little and have some fun to get rid of boredom.
But despite my skepticism and my desire to debunk this flat world and make it ridiculous,
what I found was simply amazing.
Finally I found something that questions my scientific understanding of the world,
and not only with a theory, but also with solid scientific evidence.
I want to share it with you.
Come with me to this rabbit hole
to find out whether our earth is actually a flat and immovable plane.
Before we start, I just want to ask you one thing.
Stay unbiased until the end of the series and ask absolutely everything.
I promise you the following.
In the end you will surely agree that everything that has been told about our planet is not as it seems.
Maybe you will even find that your entire perspective on the world has changed, like mine.
And I warn you, this rabbit hole is deep and maybe sometimes a little disturbing.
But we will take one step after the other.
And hey, who knows, maybe we'll even meet Alice on her way to Wonderland.
Now follow me to part 2 of What Happened in All World?
