This is an incredibly delicious pumpkin-carrot-soup
from the Thermomix. Hi, it's Daisy again from
myZaubertopfKüche and today I have a
real soul food recipe for you that
warms you up on cold days.
We're making a pumpkin-carrot-soup
with a slightly fruity note.
And the soup is not only delicious,
it's also really fast and easy
to prepare in the Thermomix.
You think that's a lot, but
with the maximum amount of work you
only have about 10 minutes.
So grab your Thermomix and
let's get started.
You can find the complete recipe for
reading it again at ourZaubertopfKlub.
Of course, you'll also find many,
many more recipe ideas and
lots of tips and tricks about
your kitchen helper.
So let's get started.
For our soup you need the following ingredients
and that's pumpkin, carrots,
shallots, garlic,
vegetable spice paste, a little
oil, coriander,
apple, a little potato
for binding and
later to top it off,
coriander, a little seeds,
cooking cream and
water, of course, and salt and pepper.
Sounds like a lot at first, but
three of these ingredients are already for
the topping and we start with the
coriander. If you don't like
coriander, some people don't like it,
I can't understand that. Of course,
you can also use parsley or other
herbs. Write in the
comments how it looks with
coriander. In our family,
I'm the only one who eats it.
We're going to chop it up now,
three seconds at level 8.
We'll need that again later
for the topping. That means I'm going to
fill it up now.
If there's still a little bit of
glue on the edge of the pot,
that's not bad at all, provided
you like coriander. Otherwise,
as I said, just use parsley.
Now we're going to chop up
the shallots
and the garlic cloves.
If they were even bigger, I would
halve them in the middle, but the thermos
has so much power, it can easily do that.
We need five seconds
at level 5.
We're going to slide
everything down with the spatula,
because we want to thin it down with a little
oil, otherwise it won't
stick to the knife.
Let's add some oil. In our case,
a nice olive oil.
Now we're going to steam it for three minutes
at 120°C.
If you still have the TM31
at home, just
use the Varoma button.
In our case, as I said, it's 120°C
and level 2.
Next,
I'm going to add pumpkin. We have
a butternut pumpkin, but you can
also use Hokkaido pumpkin. It has the
advantage that you don't have to peel it.
It actually tastes
a little different.
Then we add carrots
for binding, so that we don't need
starch later on and the soup
becomes nice and creamy. A little potato
and apple. I haven't peeled it yet,
because the soup is going to be pureed later on
and there are still a lot of vitamins in it,
so it stays in there.
We're going to chop it all up
for six seconds at level 6.
Very good. Then we're going to
add the curry powder and
sauté the whole thing again. This will
make it really nice and intense.
You see, after six
seconds, the whole thing
just looks like this. So really
very quickly chopped up.
And of course, this also reduces
the cooking time a bit.
I'm going to push this down the edge a little bit.
Then, as I said, we add the curry.
You can also just
lift it down a little bit with the spatula.
Your curry should be very intense
and the spatula discolors a little bit.
You can just put it in the
dishwasher a few times, then it goes away again.
Or just outside in the sun,
as long as it's there.
And the whole thing is now
sautéed for five minutes.
Then at 120 degrees,
if you have the TM31 at home,
you take the Varoma button again
and level 1.
Very good.
The vegetables are sautéed.
Now the water comes in.
That smells really, really good.
Really intense curry, too.
Add water
and our homemade
vegetable spice paste.
It's always made super fast in the Thermomix.
If you haven't done it yet,
you should definitely do it.
We would also like to link you to the
episode here.
And now we have to take the measuring cup out of here
and either put on the
sprayer or the
cooktop, if you don't have it here at home.
I'm using the TM31 again.
Then we set the whole thing
to 20 minutes
at 98 degrees,
or 100 degrees,
if you have the TM31.
And level 1.
Our soup is almost ready.
I'm going to add a little more cream.
We don't need it here anymore.
Mmm, that smells delicious.
So, cream comes with it.
And of course
salt and pepper.
You already know me,
it always has to be a little more spicy.
Is that the same for you?
If so, be sure to write it in the comments.
Salt.
But of course remember, we already have
the vegetable spice paste
in it and the whole thing
is now being pureed. So it's important
to put the measuring cup back in here,
because otherwise there will be a mess
in the kitchen. And the whole thing
has now been pureed for a minute,
from level 6 to gradually
up to level 8.
Et voila!
Our carrot pumpkin soup
is ready. Of course I'll show you
now that you can
estimate the amount a little bit.
In any case, four people
will easily be full.
As a starter, that's enough
for more. And of course you could
also add a topping.
For us, it's just coriander, a little cream
and a little seeds. But it also goes
super well with a chicken skewer
or a shrimp skewer.
Tofu. I'm curious
how you top it. And look,
really nice, really great color,
really, really delicious.
It's mega hot.
And I'll fill it up now. I don't tip it,
because I don't want to mess up
my white sweater here. I'm really a good
candidate for that, unfortunately. That's why I
fill it up with a ladle.
It really has the perfect consistency.
So the Thermomix really
conjures the best soups, you really have to say.
And above all,
you don't splash yourself so much.
You probably remember that before you had your Thermomix.
With this purée state.
You always had to be a little careful
when you had white things on.
That's probably why
people used to cook with a ladle.
So, I'm allowed to put a lot of
coriander on it.
A little cream, because the eye
eats with it. Let's see if I can get
a little swirl.
Very nice. And also a little
pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds.
So a mixture of seeds.
And if you really want to read the recipe
again with a step-by-step instruction,
just stop by our
Zaubertopf Club.
There is also an integrated cooking mode.
That means it will really be shown to you
on your mobile phone step by step.
You can also create the shopping list
in one step. So really
mega practical. It's worth
testing if you're not a member yet.
So, I say
bon appetit. It's mega hot.
Let's try a little here.
Really nice and creamy.
Really nice and warm.
The perfect soul food for such a
cold day. I'm curious
how you like it. Don't forget
to mention it in the comments afterwards.
I always love to read it
afterwards. And we'll see each other
again in the next episode.
Now I'm going to distribute some soup
in the editorial office. So, see you next time.
Bye!
