The best thing when travelling is when you are able to have an extended layover in a city you have never been before and this is exactly what we did during our journey from Nairobi Kenya to Windhoek, Namibia. This time, we stopped for almost 24hrs in Johannesburg South Africa.
Because of our limited time in town, we decided to jump on the hop on hop off sightseeing bus to see the most things possible in Johannesburg in the shortest amount of time. And even though we normally stay away of these very touristy type activities, they do have their place and this was the perfect example. BOOK THIS BUS TOUR HERE: https://viator.tp.st/3JoQ6M1Z
If you are looking for a great and affordable place to stay in Johannesburg, Check out CAG The Vantage. They have hotel style rooms and also fully equipped apartments but the best part is truly their location in the middle of Rosebank. By walking less than 2 minutes, you have access to tons of restaurants, stores, bars, activities and even a mall. Overall, I really fun 24hrs in Johannesburg. See you in Namibia!

So we are heading for the adventure of a lifetime,
but first we have about 24 hours in Johannesburg, South Africa.
And we're flying business class.
Business class, business class.
Just a little quick seat tour.
Lay flat beds.
Also, their pillow is always so much better.
Then you have your tray table somewhere.
Oh, right there.
You also have better headphones,
and your screen is there.
I'm so happy.
It's very rare that we do this,
and that's why I appreciate it so much more.
Just to give you an idea on how much space we have,
we have four different windows.
I love that KQ uses a lion for their safety video.
It really does actually add to it.
Good concept.
Thank you so much.
A massive shout out to the KQ crew.
They truly made our flight better.
They were amazing.
They were the best.
Otherwise, welcome to Johannesburg.
So booking our Uber right now to go to the airport.
We're gonna put this camera away.
Maybe I'm just like, you know, too innocent.
I was told to not bring this camera outside here in Joberg.
So we'll do that.
And yeah, let's go to the hotel.
Thank you so much.
So our hotel is not ready yet,
but it's right beside a very cute area
with a bunch of restaurant and stuff.
So we're gonna go find some lunch first,
cause I'm hungry.
I love trains so much.
Tracy's mad.

They smell fantastic.

So once again, very good restaurant.
The pizza was delicious.
Otherwise Tracy really wanted a Krispy Kreme
because this is something we don't have in Kenya.
And I got a free hat.

I'm going to try and not get hit by a car too.
I hope not.

I feel like the best way to see it
