While in Mombasa, we decided to come here at Kenya's largest water park called Wild Waters.
So today, we're acting like kids and checking it out.
I act like kids like every day.
Set up.
Okay, so I'm pretty excited because, well, I'm a kid, but at first glance, I mean, we have multiple water slides.
There's even like one of those funnel one.
We have a kids section on this side.
We have a place to relax.
We have a massive like dining hall and all around this big compound, there's also a lazy river, which Tracy is going to be very happy about it.
So now we're going to check out the rides.
So cue switching to GoPro.
Time to go for a first slide.
We got our tubes.
We'll see if this place is any good.
This is a very nice staircase.
I like the vines going all around, fancy.
Let's go for the first ride.
Tracy gets scared in these things like very easily and like half of the ride was like
and then she kind of turned around and her back was facing forward and then she was like
Okay, my turn.
Okay, there's nobody to push me.
Pretty intense at some point.
More fun than giggles and then at some point it gets real intense.
Time for some double tubing and that means double the fun, right?
Excuse me, excuse me.
Oh yeah, that's true, no running, not allowed.
So we're doing the double again.
David says we need to make sure we have a footage but I think he just wants me to get on it again.
It's a little scary when you have two people because it's extremely fast.
This I might need a photo for the thumbnail.
I swear it's the real reason.
That was supposed to be the last time doing this one but Tracy's like,
do you want to do it again for funsies?
I guess she likes it after all, right?
It's a good time here.
I'm gonna go do one of the long places.
Too scary for this one.
I think you have to be like on your belly like this.
You might have to give me your sunglasses.
Now time to go try the dark slides.
Are you pumped about the dark slides?
No.
Does it tell everyone that you're a chicken?
I'm a chicken right now.
I'm gonna go on the other side.
I'll go in the dark.
Can't see nothing, can't see nothing.
Woohoo!
Little Coke Zero break.
Exquisite.
Something fairly unique for a water park.
They actually have waiters.
So you sit around and they'll come if you want food, drinks or whatever.
You can order like directly to them.
So it's kind of fancy for a water park once again.
Also as I'm walking around, I'm kind of wondering like what is this?
It looks like a ship or something.
I don't know if it's like a restaurant or if it's something that they don't use anymore.
I'm gonna ask and I'll get back to you.
Gracie's coffee review.
So I got an iced caramel macchiato and I have to say I have definitely had worse.
This is such a surprising good coffee and like an iced coffee here at the water park.
I love it.
This is the other dark one.
It's the green slide for your reference and it's like really narrow.
This one is no tube.
Let's try to not bend you guys around.
Oh, it's steamy in here.
Oh, it's not very fast.
I'm slowing down and we're going again.
Oh, straight down.
Okay, our favorite ride so far.
I like the two that are together like the yellow and red one.
The straight ones.
Yeah, the straight ones that go down.
Because the turny ones, I went back.
It turned me in backwards and now I got scared.
I really like the red turny one.
It's a little bit intense halfway through, but it's a lot of fun.
So we're not comfortable to go to Lazy River.
I'm just not sure if there's enough current.
Let me give myself a push.
At this speed, we're going to be here until tomorrow.
It's a big Lazy River.
I guess I'll just swim it.
Lazy River fun, but need more current.
I think they're filling it up because there's areas where like the current just aren't in.
Okay, we'll give them a pass on this one.
Now let's go get some food.
So we're just going to shop for some lunch.
Looks like they have a lot of food.
They have like pizza, burgers, fighting, and then a whole bunch of grill stuff.
And they have a great coffee selection, ice cream menu, a bar, all you ever need.
So for lunch, we got the pizza, got the meat lovers,
and then we were about to get a kebab burger,
and they're like, no, their deep fried chicken one is better.
So we have a fried chicken burger as well.
Crispy fries.
That pizza looks amazing.
Actually very, very hot.
I'm not sure if we can go in right away.
Cheers my pizza.
Cheers.
That's really good.
That's really good, especially when you consider it's like theme park food.
They've got lots of different meat on it too.
I think they have like beef.
I think they have lamb.
I don't know.
There's a whole bunch of different.
Lamb, chicken, sausage, sort of barbecue sauce on the top.
Like, it's really good.
Everything we're having today was, you know, suggested by our waiters.
Like, no, take this, no, take this is better.
I was like, okay.
So we went with his decisions, his choices, and so far so good.
Now the burger, let's see if it's as good as the pizza and the fries.
I mean, it looks good.
It's called coleslaw and mayo and stuff.
Very nice.
I would say a little bit too much mayo, but the chicken is so good.
My turn to try the burger.
I agree.
The chicken is so nice.
Just a little bit too much mayo on it, but really good though.
Okay, food review.
Get the meat pizza.
Get the chicken burger.
Just ask for like less mayo.
Yes.
Because the food is like really good.
Yeah.
Add another shot to the ice caramel macchiato and it'd be perfect.
Yeah.
And the prices were like pretty average.
It was like $1,200 for the meat pizza, if I'm not mistaken.
And $700 for the fried chicken burger with fries.
I think that's pretty average.
Yeah.
Makes sense.
Is it Christmas soon?
Are they late or are they just too early?
I don't know.
So quick review of the water park.
First of all, it was a lot of fun.
If you have kids, this is the place to come.
And if you're a 33 year old man, that's also the place to come.
No, it was a really fun afternoon.
I think it's totally worth it to come.
So for resident, it's $1,700 a person.
Non-resident, $1,900 a person.
And on top of that, if you want to come and just not go on the slides, it's a lot cheaper.
$300.
The food was good.
There's a nice selection of water slides.
Yeah.
It's well-maintained.
They're currently like repainting everything.
Yeah.
It makes it like looks even better.
The water is clear.
I mean-
The water quality is good too.
I have like no complaint.
Yeah.
So overall, a great day.
Yeah.
Time for us to head back to Nairobi.
Yeah.
And until then, see you guys.
In the next one.
