Oman is a beautiful country not known by most but after spending over a week there, let us tell you that it is truly worth visiting.
Our day started at the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, home to the second largest chandelier in the whole world. The mosque itself is one of the most interesting building I have ever seen. Keep in mind that dressing modestly is required to visit this holy place.
From Muscat centre, we drove an hour and a half to one of the most stunning place in Oman, Wadi Ash Shad. After a 45-minute hike through beautiful landscape and crystal blue water bodies, we made it to the main event, a beautiful natural pool and a secret waterfall located inside a cave. Absolutely breath taking if you ask us! We highly suggest that you visit this place early in the morning to avoid the harsh sun and warm weather of the afternoon like we experienced.
Back on the road for a short drive along the coast to Bimmah sinkhole. This place is also very impressive and you realistically only need 15 minutes there unless you are planning on swimming of enjoying the space.
From there, we have to rush back to Muscat, change quickly at our hotel and drive to the marine for a private sunset cruise in the Muttrah area of Muscat. Even if the sun was not on our side for that sunset cruise, it was such a fun experience and a great way to see Muscat from a different angle. A big thank you to My Tour Oman for this fun experience. Finally, just in case you were wondering, we stayed at the brand new Aloft Hotel in Muscat. We highly suggest it, especially that they currently have an introduction rate!

Today we are visiting the coolest slash most impressive things here in Muscat.
And it starts with the Grand Mosque.
I did know that you had to have your shoulders covered but I didn't know you actually have
to have full long sleeve.
So I originally just had my scarf.
That being said, you can actually rent a dress because I did not even bring long sleeve.
So yeah, you can rent a dress for 2.5 reales.
And still come visit and not be turned away.
This mosque was built from 1996 to 2020.
So it actually only opened about three years ago.
It's composed of many different buildings and can have over 20,000 people praying here
at the same time.
So the carpet, it was made by 600 women all by hand.
All the colors are natural.
It took four years to make and it's 60 by 70 meters squared.
That's impressive.
So the Grand Mosque is a stunning place here in Muscat or in the world if you ask me.
Probably one of the most impressive buildings I've ever seen.
Chandelier here is the second largest chandelier in the world.
Now Qatar actually has the largest one.
But this one, 14 meters, 8 tons and 600,000 Swarovski crystals.
So that's quite a chandelier.
So we walked in front of the information center and they invited us in for coffee.
So the Grand Mosque in Muscat, just like the Taj Mahal in India, totally worth the visit.
This building is like incredible.
And it actually is free to enter.
If you want a guide, you can get a guide.
It's 5 reales a person.
Which I think was fine.
It is absolutely beautiful.
And just the people in there are just so nice.
Everyone is just so nice in this country.
So now we are going to go back on the road, get a quick breakfast and go somewhere where
we shouldn't go in the middle of the day.
But we're going to do it any day.
I'm already hot thinking about it.
It is so hot and we're going to need to hike a little bit.
Not a good idea.
Don't do that.
We're professionals.
So we just arrived at Wadi Ash Shab, which is a beautiful natural pool with a secret
water, all blue water, as blue as you can imagine.
I don't know.
We don't have a guide.
So we're going to do this on our own.
And as soon as you arrive, you're greeted by a bunch of hairy goats.
They try to go in our car.
They beelined it straight from the car.
To reach the path, you start by taking a boat across.
We think.
All of this is all a guess.
We'll confirm when we come back.
That's my boat.
Welcome Brenda.
Okay.
So we made it across.
The guy on the boat said, follow the path.
So we're going to try to do that.
So crossing the river is one Riyal a person, and it seems to be like a back and forth.
So you only pay once when you first arrive.
Otherwise it is best to arrive here probably around 7 or 8 AM.
Right now it is 15 after 12.
We are cooking, but we are devoted to our mission.
This place already looks unreal.
Like it kind of looks like an Indiana Jones movie set.
Like that's what it looks like.
It doesn't even look real.
I see something.
It's so blue.
Sorry, I have sweat dripping in my eye.
I have a hard time believing we're there already, but I don't know.
I don't think we're quite there yet, but I mean, it's already so beautiful.
The rocks, the water is like so blue, like crystal.
Whoa, this place, guys, Oman, him and Jim.
So far the path is good, but like it wouldn't hurt to have a few more signs because right
now I'm just walking on a very tiny ledge, but apparently that's part of the path.
Just a little sign here saying like, you know, this way, or even like a little red dot on
a rock or anything that makes me believe that we are actually on the right path.
So at some point, the path kind of like split in two and there's really no sign or anything
telling you where to go.
There's a guy on the other side that's telling you to like go around this way.
So I think you have to keep left.
We made it.
This water is so refreshing.
It's so good.
I just need to find the waterfall.
Quality is more important than anything for me.
This is why I'm bringing this very expensive camera in a place where I can't touch the
bottom at all.
Tracy's extremely afraid of leeches and she thinks that there's leeches in there, but
I don't think so.
You got it, babe.
You got it.
I said I'm literally terrified of fresh water.
Leeches terrify me.
Irrational, I know.
Just like she's good at snakes.
I think we found the cave.
Going through the cave.
Made it through the hardest part.
Tracy's dead on the other side struggling a little bit.
It's really cool inside.
It's literally like a waterfall inside a cave.
Tracy stayed here for...
I'm falling.
Tracy stayed here with the big camera because like you need to duck underwater like a tiny
bit and I don't trust that I'm able to like keep the camera up because you can't touch
underground, but like in there it's crazy.
It's literally like a waterfall inside a cave.
It is beautiful.
You got it, babe.
Just keep swimming, babe.
It's narrow, but it's not like...
I can't do it.
You got it.
You're there.
You got it.
Yes.
Yeah, girl.
It's pretty cool, right?
It is, but that was intense.
For me, at least.
Stronger than you think.
It's just hidden in your inside.
I didn't think I was that claustrophobic until I tried.
Yeah, it's very narrow.
I was like, yo, yeah, no, I am.
Time to take all the risks and swim back.
Just risking it all.
This is the right time if you want to buy some of our merch, adventureseekers.store,
if you want to become a channel member, you know, anything.
At least watch the ads.
One thing that we highly suggest is you bring water shoes because...
We almost did.
Oh, we almost didn't.
We didn't.
We left in a rush and I forgot.
It hurts so much.
We made a tough number.
It's so worth it though.
It's very nice.
We've done it.
We found the blue pool.
We found the waterfall.
It's time to walk back, which I'm dreading.
Before we say anything, I'm going to go buy water.
So we've chugged like a liter of water already.
Yeah, which felt amazing.
To be fair, okay, disclaimer, I know we've said this a little bit, but we knew it was
going to be this hot.
So like, unless you've ever been in extreme heat, do not.
Can we just take a pause?
Let's appreciate how blue the water is there.
Oh, it's stunning.
It is insane.
Now, Tracy, carry on.
Yeah, basically like unless you've been in extreme heat and know what to expect, don't
do it.
Not don't do it.
Do it early in the morning.
Yeah, sorry, that's what I meant.
Or later in the afternoon.
The last boat is at 6 p.m.
Yeah.
And I think they start in the morning at like 8 or something like that.
So be here for like 7 or 8, something like that.
And you're going to like, you know, you're going to be earlier and before the big heat.
That was definitely worth it though.
Yeah.
If you do it at this time of day or to be honest, at any time of the day, bring at least
like a liter and a half of water per person.
And I would maybe take about like a total of three hours.
Takes about 45 minutes one way to go to the Wadi and the cave.
And then you'll have like about an hour, an hour and a half there that I actually like,
you know, take a break, enjoy the water, go to the waterfall and everything.
And then 45 minutes back.
And bring some sugar with you too potentially.
Bring some snack.
Anyway, that's pretty much it.
Now to the second destination, which is a hole.
A big hole.
So we made it to our second site.
The first site that we were at is about 1 hour and 45 minutes from Muscat center.
This is Bima Sinkhole.
And it's about an hour and 30 minutes from Muscat.
And both on the same highway.
So from what we gathered, these dates are like almost ready to pick.
We did try fresh dates today at the mosque.
And it's crazy.
Like it instantly dries your mouth out.
Yeah, I see the wall around the sinkhole.
And I am ready to be amazed.
They built a very nice staircase.
So it's very easy to go down.
So for a very long time, the locals were actually believing that this sinkhole
was caused by a meteorite a long, long time ago.
But in fact, it's just the ground that collapsed
because of some limestone on the ground that actually started to dissolve.
Tracy's getting affected real hard by this crazy heat and humidity.
She stayed up there.
74, 75, 76, 77 stairs.
Just in case you're wondering.
So it's super nice.
And to be honest, like very impressive.
You can actually swim in it if you want.
Water is like super refreshing.
You probably saw videos on YouTube or TikTok or whatever
about people jumping from the top.
There are signs everywhere telling you not to do that.
It's probably not safe.
And it's kind of like remote.
So I'm not sure where the closest hospital is.
So, you know, don't do it.
Otherwise, it's located in a beautiful park with a lot of greeneries, bathroom.
They have like a freshwater machine and everything.
So bring a picnic and, you know, spend a couple hours here.
I think we just did our shortest change of life.
We stopped at the hotel.
I even took a shower.
Six minutes turn around because we really don't have a lot of time.
In 23 minutes, we have to be somewhere.
But it says that it's going to take over half an hour.
So, yeah, got to go catch our boat.
We're a little late.
We're going to make it.
We made it.
And we're just a couple minutes late.
So hopefully our boat's still here.
So now that we made it on the boat,
we are actually going on a sunset cruise once again with MyTourOman.
Which, by the way, if you didn't watch our tour of Muscat at night,
I highly recommend that video as well.
It was super fun.
So on the shore there, they have a cemetery
because a very long time ago,
a ship actually sank here with a mix of British and Portuguese people.
And this is actually where they were buried.
So even though it's still cloudy, it's still pretty nice.
You've got some after colors coming through
and it's just a different perspective of the town and city.
So in front of the boat right now is the Ritz Carlson.
It's one of the most luxurious hotels here in Oman.
And basically, in the last video, when we showed you guys the palace,
well, we told you that nobody really stays there almost ever.
In fact, the king still owns the top floor of the Ritz Carlson.
And basically, when they have like guest of honors or things like that,
this is most likely where they would stay.
Thank you so much.
It's true.
You're the best one.
Best captain around.
And of course, there's no better way to end the tour
than with a little bit of Omani coffee and some delicious dates,
which MyTourOman, they always bring a nice little box like that for you.
No fault.
It was a real pleasure.
Thank you so much for the second time
because we did another activity with him and it was fantastic.
I'm going to link that video down below as well.
Otherwise, MyTourOman, all their information are also going to be down below.
They do way more than just the sunset trip and the city tour at night.
Plenty of stuff there.
So make sure to check them out.
Thank you once again.
You're welcome.
All your guests are most welcome.
Oman is a hidden gem, guys.
You got to come here.
Just did a quick stop at the gas station
and we're completely empty and it costed 7.4 riyal.
That's it.
So gas here is actually subsidized,
meaning that it's like the government keeps it cheap for the people.
This is why it's so cheap.
Now we're going to go back to our hotel real quick
to give you a little room tour
because it's a brand new hotel.
It's super cheap.
And I highly suggest that you stay there.
This is not a partnership.
It's just something we found.
And you need to know about it.
Two disclaimers.
It's our last night here.
So if you see random clothes trying to dry,
sorry about that.
Nothing I can do.
Secondly is we actually got upgraded to the Savvy King
and it's an introductory rate as well.
So I think we pay 216 Canadian dollars for three nights.
However, being a Bonvoy Marriott member,
we're just free to sign up.
If available, you get a free room upgrade.
So that's what happened there.
Love this hotel, by the way.
I think it's two, three months old.
Welcome to the bathroom.
Yeah, spacious toilet.
Spacious shower too, which is great.
And then over here.
So David has his little work area.
I have my little coffee machine.
And then we have a king size bed, a TV and everything.
Honestly, like can't complain at all.
It's a perfect spacious room.
Especially for the price.
Again, introductory rate because it is brand new.
But I have nothing bad to say about this hotel.
So that's all for room tour.
So now time to go to bed
because tomorrow we have an early flight to Salalah,
which by the way, we do not have a hotel booked yet.
We need to book that.
We should do that right now.
And yeah, see you guys in Salalah, I guess, right?
In the next one.
Salalah.
In Salalah.
Until then, see you guys.
In the next one.
