Ultimate Way To Spent Your Layover in Qatar

we just landed in Qatar for 13 hours L over meaning that we have two different options one we go to a l and do nothing or second we turn this layover into the best day ever so guess what one we chose Best Day Ever best day ever so it is not even 6:00 a.m. so before getting too excited with our day we are going to go for a great breakfast at one of the best breakfast buffet in the state of Qatar are you hungry I'm super hungry I'm hungry too right [Music] [Applause] [Music] now so we just arrived at the Grand haat DOA it is a massive and very luxurious looking Hotel we are here for the breakfast at the uh Santa Monica uh Breakfast Club Breakfast Club restaurant it looks super nice it's like very colorful and like really has a big contrast with the rest of the hotel which is kind of like yeah fancy I need some coffee first though I'm looking a little bad right now yeah it's still just [Music] 6:30 the variety is insane this is one of the best breakfast buffet I've ever seen everything I just order breakfast tacos they could only have breakfast tacos and it' be great I just ordered myself a banana waffle with maple syrup and it's real M syrup so as a Canadian I always appreciate it this place was so good we should get a t-shirt to remember it forever look at this best breakfast venue we've got best breakfast restaurant family favorite brune best breakfast so I'm not the only one thinking that this is the best breakfast ever okay so we just made it to Mariel water park which is the largest water park here inar it just opened a few months back and okay the teaming is very intense and it might be a little weird but just stay posted because I'm going to explain a little bit more about it I'm so excited to be here they have so many unique things I've never seen before in a theme park so let's have a good day if YouTube doesn't work I'm coming back here and I'm going to be a character dancing in the middle of the ethereum going back to the theming that is different we're just just waiting for the park to open we're literally the first ones here they're opening still in 25 minutes but there's a few characters that came out and from what I can see there's fire there's propane tank an oil barrel I think water and there's a random horse I don't understand the horse but yeah unique so we're going to go change and then Adventure all changed up the main building has like a few stores and things like that but here's our first impression let's turn around [Music] please don't [Music] touch nothing happened okay so there is 36 rides uh total in this park there's a few that are still under constructions or at least not completely finished there's literally a roller coaster that's going to be there but sadly it's not open yet but we're going to start with a banger with one of those famous rotating uh water slide Trac is a little bit stressed about it she thinks she's going to be claustrophobic in it yeah it's honestly it's not drops or anything it's just the fact of knowing like I can't see the out thinking about it just is really hard to it's a very weird looking uh ride and there's only five of those in the entire world so I'm pretty pumped about it just check it out so just as it was our turn it broke so in the meantime probably going to reopen that later on but in the meantime we're just going to do another [Music] one is it cold um little unusing oh yeah party [Applause] party what is this this is the next generation of water pars projection music [Applause] wo okay so something that I totally forgot about until we get in there is on certain rides like that when there's a dark aspect or like when it's in case you get to choose your music there's like jungle party Sunset and extreme oh extreme would are crazy too crazy for me but it's really really cool so this house is actually Four this will be number three I'm just trying to figure out which is which [Music] Thunder we're picking up some [Music] Ste dad just keeps getting better and better so good vies it don't matter the weather the dad just keeps getting better and better the dad just keeps getting better and better all got us my the dad just keeps getting better and better okay so remember earlier when I said that the theming is a little bit weird it's not that it's weird it's just weird for us westerners so the entire theming of this water park is about oil and gas so you know like kind of celebrating fossil fuel might be a little weird but just think a minute about how important um oil has been for the kingdom of Qatar and basically it's all their history and this is why they wanted to Showcase here so they fix the elevator this is the one we tried to do first thing this morning but the elevator for the tubes isn't working throwing all the sensors off so now it's our time they're doing a really good job at theming to be honest like even like the fake rust and things everything is in the same theme nothing stands out to be different in terms of like water park like this is like Disney and like Universal Studio um level of theming if you ask me like it looks really cool like look at this all of this just airbrush not real rust the hardest beating out of my chest right now Tracy's not very brave uh with those things no the worst part is Tracy just needs to put her big girl pants oh no she has no pants I don't have pants the wor part is is is I genuinely think this will like I'm not worried about drops and stuff it's just the claustrophobic feeling I know once I'm in there I'm going to be completely [Music] fine are you ready no cuz I it's not my normal hang on spot and I don't know how to do this this is so weird guys like is such a weird SL don't talk go to how weird it is you're going to be I just imagine getting capped inside nobody's getting dropped I don't know where I want to hold this stressing me out going in W oh that was cold it's very cold after not being in look at this this is so weird this is so weird I can't look so it really tries me out like you look up you look down there's just slides everywhere wo and then you go up and then down and then you just got to wait for it to turn more it's oh my I saw somebody on YouTube saying it's like the movie Inception and it's exactly that it is so freaky talking about it Tracy's loving it give me a thumbs up woo almost out come on I see the end I see the end now it's this is the fight I like w follow and here we go and we made it okay here's a review if you get motion sick do not do not go in there even like it's you you lose like all your you lose your horizon like you don't know what's up or down at some point and everything around you is moving at least when you're in like a tube going fast or spinning you still have the concept of you're spinning and you still know where the wall is this it just wish washes you around that's my best describe it the wish you watch it even me like normally on rides I don't really get too uh motion sick but like in this one after like the third rotation I was like get me out of this spinny thingy yeah he looked at me and he's like what's wrong like are you okay what's wrong I'm like I just need to concentrate just just just let me it's still cool one more yay just enjoy the music holy W once the roller coaster is live it's going to add so much more Al in the park like cuz it's actually going through like everywhere around the water slide which is super cool after all these intense rides it's time what's the problem with about is matter time for what it's time for a lazy [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] rib so again with the theming this is water but it's supposed to represent oil basically all of this oh that's a lot I'm stuck in it I did not avoid any of [Music] that [Music] so this is going to go do a ride now that I will not want to do so see you in a bit so there's this Tower with those three drop ride you know like you just stand and then the floor opens and it's these ones are like super super fast this is terrifying 3 2 1 wo W wo W that's Fasto you thank you okay welcome to the Icon Tower this Tower is the highest water slide structure in the entire world at 85 M tall there's 12 water slide and we'll see what they're all about they look really fun some take over a minute to go down this is how high they are now if you want to do all 12 rides going up 85 M every time would be very annoying but don't worry they have three elevators to bring you all the way [Music] [Applause] [Music] up so we're just halfway what level level is this level three so we went from 5 to three hello how are you which one is your favorite no what one this one's very nice I don't like I trust you I see he looks like a trustworthy guy I see the drop I am not okay W oh light oh that's fun oh this is the blue one no I love blue my I love you so much w I'm so proud of you I'm we're we're back up Tracy went straight back up because we already did the blue one the blue one was one I didn't want to do and he finished that one have a choice pretty big drop and up and Tracy I thought she was going to freak out there's probably going to be some edited Out versions family she's not very family friend she really good okay hold on tight enjoy the ride thank [Music] wo okay so once again I left Tracy down I'm going to go up this time not to the fifth but to the sixth floor to go on the highest body uh water slide in the entire world 85 M high and I'm looking at people coming down and they're going fast so the top level level six there are two slides one drop slide and one body slide and it's we're so high oh it's hot in here guys there's some nice music so what I'm wearing on my back they call it the jetpack and it's basically just to protect your back and it makes the ride much more comfortable and enjoyable woo [Music] woohoo wo wo it just never stops W I'm still so hard oh my God how long has this been oh wow this is the longest water slide I've ever been on wo something I have to say because I'm proud you see like this massive tower that breaks a bunch of Guinness World Record well all the water slides in this park were actually made by a Canadian company from British Columbia so that's pretty [Music] [Applause] cool so time to get some lunch they have a few restaurants onite they have an Italian restaurant called Italian restaurant they have an Asian restaurant called Asian restaurant and they have a kid restaurant called kid restaurant meaning that they're eating oh no no I bet it's just like kid food you know like Kitty food dinosaur nuggets or something like so we pick the Italian one to order some pizza because y'all know that we love pizza so we're just waiting for it now we both ordered a pepperoni pizza and like it took a little bit of time but to be honest they're made to order so worth the waiting if you ask me it's actually really good good pizza they were 45 R each it's like a decent size pizza and for a theme park price pretty good good pizza especially when you consider that it's like theme park food yeah I thought it was PR decent very fresh yeah yeah they made it to order and I really appreciate that so not only do you have the huge rides water attractions itself you even have a beach front here so especially if you have little kiddos then that is fantastic oh speaking of kiddos there is a kiddo section as well so this water park is part of a new development they basically build a man-made Island and they're going to have like a bunch of dining and shopping uh different like luxury hotel and resort and of course this park so this island is going to become its own destination just like Cotes Island in Singapore for [Music] example I I like One camera I love on camera here are the two things that like truly impress me first first of all the staff so nice so friendly so helpful 10 out of 10 for that and the second thing is the theming all around it is so consistent they were like we're going oil and gas and we're going 110% and like it looks really good I was a little bit skeptical at first but to be honest the theming is solid to me really really good it's going to be even better when that train goes around I'm telling you the staff the staff the staff solid lot [Music] so we just took a quick shower which by the way was very nice everything is brand new in there so like it's it's very nice I'm going to say it I think this water park is better than the one in Dubai the Atlantis even though like you know a few rides kind of broke when we were there and a few WS weren't even open like they are still doing their soft opening so I'm going to give them a pass on that they need to run into those problems before actually launching and once all these little things are fixed and once all the other rides are open this place is going to be epic and I really really want to come back once it's fully launch I agree this is hands down like my favorite waterpr I've ever been to solid yeah but for now we are heading back to the airport a little bit of Lounge time maybe yeah until next time see you guys in the next one
