Hello Bloggineers, we're back again at Knott's Boysenberry Festival.
We're going to use another tasting card and this will kind of serve as our dinner for
tonight.
The first item we got is the Boysenberry BBQ Meatball Pizza.
There's a total of three meatballs because they're cut in half.
Mmm.
Good?
That's good.
We've had the Boysenberry meatballs before but never on a pizza.
I like this.
It's very crunchy.
What?
No it's not crunchy.
It's crunchy.
It's pretty thick and filling.
Like from the bottom to the top it's like that thick.
Three meatballs is pretty good for one pizza.
Yeah, yeah.
This is way more meat than you usually get on any pizza slice.
I want more.
I love the BBQ flavor and it's slightly sweet because of the boysenberry.
This is one of the best Knott's pizzas I've had.
Five boysenberries out of five.
I also rate it five boysenberries out of five.
It's super good.
I got the sushi burrito because it was my favorite last time so now I'm going to eat
again.
Also remember Mary said you have to say mmm this is so good.
That is so good.
We got two more items from Spurs.
The Boysenberry BBQ Beef Tips with Parmesan Grits and Green Onions and the Boysenberry
Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich.
This was made by Rory's which is a local creamery.
This is a very nice comfort food.
Okay now I can finally eat it.
Pretty flavorful.
Let's try some grits.
The sauce kind of overpowers it.
I can't really taste it.
I think that the flavor is very similar to the meatball pizza that we just had because
it's BBQ.
It might even be the same sauce.
I'm not sure.
But of course the meat is different here since it's beef.
Beef tips.
Right?
Beef tips.
And I love the texture of the grits.
As I eat more and more of this I actually like it more because some of the beef tips
are like really not fatty but like chewy.
No not chewy either.
It's just it has a nice.
No I think it is.
It's slightly fatty.
That's what it is.
Not overly fatty but just the right amount.
So when you bite into it, it has that texture that's really nice.
This gets 5 boysenberries out of 5 too.
This gets a 4 boysenberries out of 5 for me.
Now I'm going to try the boysenberry cookie.
You can definitely taste the boysenberry and I also like the flavor of the cookie.
I think it's some kind of lemon cookie.
Yeah it does look like lemon.
It's really good.
Do you want to try some?
Oh look, in the ingredients it has Knott's Berry Farm seedless boysenberry jam.
That's cool.
Can I?
Mhmm.
This is a very good ice cream sandwich.
I'll give it 4 boysenberries out of 5 just because some of the other boysenberry dessert
sweets that we had last time were out of this world but this is still very good.
I'll rate this a 5 boysenberries out of 5.
It ties for the beignets.
This one's very good because I like the flavor of the cookie combined with the boysenberry
ice cream.
It's pretty refreshing too.
I will say that the ice cream here is very high quality, more than their soft serve.
The cookie has a perfect texture.
It's not too crunchy but when you bite down it does make a little crunch sound and then
inside it's all soft.
We just bumped into Janice Yamanaka again and we're going to ask you, I guess ever since
the last time we saw you, have you tried any other boysenberry item that was super good?
Okay, at the Wagon Wheel Pizza there's like a cabrasie garlic bread with margarita stuff
on top and that's really good.
We were just there and we considered getting it but then we decided maybe next time.
Also, have you tried the bread pudding?
Oh yeah, we tried the bread pudding today.
That was really good.
That's my favorite sweet so far.
Yeah.
And then my favorite savory dish so far would probably be the grits.
Oh yeah, the beef tips with grits.
Oh yeah, the beignets from the churro factory were really good.
So, they could have used, if they had like a little container of boysenberry sauce, it
would have been even better but it was really good as it was.
We did have that last time and I think we might get it again today.
And we'll link her channel up here again.
We bumped into Tim and Mary again from Knott's Network.
And I guess from the last time, have you tried any other very good boysenberry items?
Yes, we tried, well I tried the po'boy.
It is so delicious.
I love shrimp.
I love it in a sandwich and the boysenberry sauce just makes it complete.
I love it.
I tried the jambalaya.
It's very good.
It's spicy and excellent.
I loved it a lot.
Yes, we did have the jambalaya.
Wait, have you had the bread pudding?
No.
You have to get the bread pudding.
So, when you eat the bread pudding, you have to go, mmm, this is so bad.
No, no, it's good.
It's the best sweet boysenberry item I've had.
Cool.
Is it on the tasting card?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's in the red barn.
Oh, cool.
You have to say, mmm, this is so good.
In my opinion, it's better than the beignets.
Okay, that's it, right?
Thank you.
Alright, see you.
Have a good one.
The next item is the elote with boysenberry butter, boysenberry mayo, and cotija cheese.
The elotes and nuts are always good and just eating the corn on the cob is a nice experience.
I think it's more cheesy than I remember, but it still tastes pretty good.
I'll give it four boysenberries out of five.
The corn is still steaming.
And also, this part, because it's a little black, it's actually, it tastes like, it tastes
like stereotypical roasted corn.
It's very nice.
Like, it has that smoky flavor.
Actually, what the heck is stereotypical roasted corn?
I'll redo that.
We're at Cordelia's Pie Kitchen to decorate a boysenberry shaped cookie.
These kits cost seven dollars each, and they come with two cookies.
First, I'll put light frosting since I don't like too much or else it gets too sugary and overpowered.
I'm going to take a bite of this cookie.
It's a cookie.
Our last item today is the bread pudding, which we had last time and it was my favorite one.
It's just as good as I remember.
It's really good.
And that is part two of our visit to the boysenberry festival.
My favorite thing today was the cookie witch because I like the cookie, how it had a good
taste and the combination between the boysenberry ice cream and the cookie.
The two things we had today that I really liked were the meatball pizza and also the
beef tips with grits.
Those two were the ones that were brand new to us.
Well, I guess the cookie witch too.
So I'd say that one tasting card is just enough for me, brother and dad to come here for one
dinner and just use it all up on the three of us.
It's like the perfect amount.
Yeah, today's a pretty chill day.
It's like slightly drizzly, but we had a great time at the boysenberry festival and the food
is good as usual.
See you in the next video.
Bye!
