Crème Brûlée

Hey guys, it's been a long time since I made a video last time because I was busy with school work,
but today here I have a very simple creme brulee recipe which only requires four ingredients and
this recipe is very customizable. You can add less sugar or you can add some different flavorings to
it. You can make it the way you want. So yeah, let's get right into it. So first here I have
five egg yolks and to that I'm going to go ahead and add 70 grams of sugar and then I'm going to
grab a whisk and I'm going to mix that up until all the sugar and egg yolk is mixed together.
So just make sure you don't have big pockets of sugar that are not mixed with egg yolk.
And then here I'm heating up 500 grams of cream with two teaspoons of vanilla extract
and we're just going to heat that up until it's warm enough where you can stick your finger into
it but it doesn't burn. So I'm stirring it with a spatula just to make sure that nothing sticks
to the bottom. Then after it's warm you can go ahead and pour a little bit into the egg yolks
first. So this is just to temper it to make sure it doesn't curdle when you add the rest of the
cream. So just mix it with a whisk a little bit and then pour the rest of the cream into it.
And then now you just use the whisk to mix all of the egg yolk and the cream together
and if there's any stuck at the bottom use a spatula to kind of make it loose. And then now
we can pour into six ramekins here. So here I only have five but I didn't fill them all the way up.
So normally if you fill them all the way up they only make five. So yeah and now I'm using a blow
torch just to get rid of any bubbles at the top and our oven is set to 140 celsius and then we're
pour some water on the sides just to make sure it doesn't overcook in the oven. Then after 45
minutes as you can see it still jiggles a little bit and this is perfect. So we're gonna put that
into the fridge. Then after it's set in the fridge as you can see it's nice and solid. So we're gonna
put on a plate and then sprinkle one teaspoon of sugar on top and just make sure you sprinkle
nice and evenly. And here I'm using a blow torch so I'm just putting it at low fire and just making
sure it's nice and even. So let that cool down for five minutes and there we go. It's really simple,
really easy and you get a really nice result where you have a nice crispy top. And as you can see
here the bottom custard is still extremely creamy and there's no lumps at all. So yeah I hope you
guys enjoyed this video. If you liked it you can leave a like, subscribe and share the video with
your friends. And yeah make sure you try this out because it's one of my favorite desserts. All right
bye
