Halloween is on the doorstep, so I have concocted 4 super simple last-minute ideas
to make, to please your children or yourself.
I give you the recipes with the quantities in the info bar, just below the video.
Subscribe to the channel, then let's move on to the recipes!
First, let's make these little Amuse-bouche eyes, based on cream cheese.
For that, we need soy yogurt boiled for 24 hours in the fridge, I seasoned
mine with salt, garlic, pepper and chives.
Then I prepare za'atar, one of my favorite spices, which will serve as a base
for our eyes.
And finally, for the decoration, we will need a layer of vegetable charcuterie, it's up to you
to see the brand you prefer.
And olives cut in half, I advise you to use black olives, but since I don't like
that very much, I used green olives.
For the making, it is important to oil the palm of our hands well.
I take a small amount of cream cheese and roll it into a ball between my hands, it
doesn't have to be perfect.
I then put it in the za'atar to make it like a non-stick base under my eye,
you could also use oblini, little crackers or toast instead.
I put the pupil of my eye in, and I roll up slices of charcuterie around, which
then allow me to be able to grab my little ball of cream cheese easily.
And that's it for our Amuse-bouche in the shape of a god, super fresh and super easy to make,
it's even easier if you have vegan cream cheese ready, but it's
just as easy to make at home.
For our second recipe, we are going to make something to decorate our cocktails or fruit juices,
again eyes but this time sweet, fruity and gelatinous.
I saw the idea from Mel Pigu and I wanted to make my own version.
To make them, I use blueberries and a kiwi, and a half-sphere-shaped mold,
but if you don't have one, you can use coffee cups.
I cut thin slices of kiwi, you can also use mango.
And using a small glass and a bubble tea straw, I make a thick circle that will
be used to make the iris of my eye.
I place it at the bottom of my mold by sticking it well, and I push a blueberry in the middle
to make the center of my eye.
Again, if you don't have a mold, it doesn't matter, you can find
a homemade solution with coffee cups with a rounded bottom, or another DIY solution
that will suit you.
Once my mold is filled, I will put it in the freezer for a few minutes to fix
the fruits and I prepare my jelly.
In a small saucepan, I pour sugar, agar-agar, I mix with a whisk,
coconut cream, you can use another vegetable cream, and I will heat it all up.
When my mixture has boiled and then had time to cool down, I take out my fruits
and pour my liquid mixture over them.
Once it's done, they just have to go to the fridge.
Here are our eyes once jellified and unmolded, you can get other colors by using
other fruits, it's super fun and very funny to do.
All that remains is to place them at the bottom of your glass before serving,
but you can also use them to decorate other desserts.
For our last two ideas, we will use a puff pastry and make a salty version
and a sweet version of little Halloween puff pastries, onion mummies and pumpkin
muffins.
I use a rectangular puff pastry, know that you can also use a pie dough
or a homemade shortcrust pastry, depending on what you want to do.
For my little mummies it's super simple, I already cut a few strips, then I make
rectangles in my dough, I delimit an edge not to be exceeded, and I fill the middle,
I made caramelized onions, but any tapenade of your choice will do very well.
Then I moisten the edges of my dough, and all that remains is to add
strips of puff pastry to my mummy, there are no real rules to follow,
you can put as much or as little as you want, crossing them and leaving
a space to put the eyes later.
For my sweet puff pastries, I will use my homemade pumpkin jam,
which I shared the recipe on YouTube this month, and a small circle-shaped pattern
that I made directly in the cardboard of my puff pastry, it is a very simple shape
to make yourself.
I cut my shapes, you need two by puff pastry, on one I make a small cross
for the look, but also so that the dough rises evenly.
I delimit, I spread a little jam, I moisten the edges, then I glue my second
piece of coffin, I turn it over to have a very clear face, and I seal the edges well.
Once everything is done, I spread a little coffee for the gilding on all this beautiful world,
and above all, do not forget to sprinkle the sugar coffins before baking.
Here are our little puff pastries once cooked, I find the little coffins really super cute
and super easy to make, and for the mummies, I added little eyes with slices
of olives filled with cream cheese.
Here are these little last-minute ideas for Halloween, I hope you will like them
and that they will make you happy.
Tell me in the comments which one is your favorite, I'm leaning for the sweet eyes
and the puff pastry coffins.
