OK, so first step, we need to have these little rolls of thread available when the workshop starts, so we're going to prepare it in advance.
OK, so we're going to start with this thread, with this piece of wood, and we're already going to have someone to prepare these little things in advance.
There is a first step, which is that of Gabriel, which consists of selecting pretty branches, okay?
For example, we're going to get this, we're going to make a sort in a box, like that, first step.
Second step, we need very fleshy bouquets, we put the shiny side on top, okay?
But not too long, so here for example, I'm starting to have too long there.
It's 4 o'clock, they're going to be about there, not longer than that, even there it's a little long.
So fleshy, fleshy, that means I'm going to have thickness.
I'm going to remove that.
There, it's still not fleshy enough to my liking.
So that's going to go on the crowns?
That's what's going to go on the crown, yes.
To stuff it?
To stuff it, so it really doesn't have to be too long, because otherwise afterwards we have trouble at the end,
there are too many branches that are too long that come out and we don't hide the threads well.
So it's very important to visualize a little.
Here, for example, I allow myself, it's to show.
It's good.
So, here, hop, that's it.
I think you can really make them even flesher.
It depends on the crowns, the size of the crowns.
It will also depend on the types of trees, I imagine.
It depends on the quality of the bed.
It's not the same every year.
Well, let's say that's good.
Marie, is it good?
You put a prettier one on top again.
Yes, that's what's going to be seen at the end.
Here I have my crown.
OK, so the crown, we'll show you later how to make the crown.
So that was a workshop.
So there's going to be a person who only does that.
And now we're going to show you how to make the crowns,
which are the bases on which we're going to put the little bouquets we just made.
So the crown, in fact, is that.
And there, there will be different diameters and it will give different crowns.
So now we're going to show you how to do that from a branch of tree.
So here is a large branch, quite fleshy and not too dry.
Because you're going to have to twist it to get a circle.
So don't break it.
So the base is a branch, not too dry, not too thick.
And the A4, on an A4 sheet maximum, so 27 in diameter, we'll say.
This is the big crown.
A smaller one.
A smaller one, it's going to be 20 centimeters in diameter, we'll say.
This one is not very round, but if we imagine that the circle is reformed,
at the end we get there.
And you have to imagine that it's going to be much bigger than that, in fact, in the end, the crown.
So don't tell yourself that it's going to be the size of the crown.
Because after, yeah, after, I'll show you, yeah.
So there, in the end, that's it, it gives something.
I just put my hand aside so we can see.
It gives something pretty big.
There is all this thickness, in fact, around.
So it's still, here, you have to increase a little the size, the diameter of the wood.
He is joining the two ends of the branch he chose.
So we repeat, not too dry.
So don't break it.
Here.
He joins them.
So, on the other hand, here.
He joins them enough so that it doesn't slip and it doesn't end up making a drop shape.
It's really, we're looking for the circle.
But after that, it's not very serious either.
If an oval is formed, because we will manage to give it back.
Okay.
And that's where we put the thickest gray thread.
And here we put a thread that will hold well, that we will twist.
Don't hesitate to tighten.
I have the impression.
You have to tighten well.
So we have on one side the little bouquets that we prepared earlier.
So there is someone who made the little bouquets.
And on the other side we have the crowns.
And now we're going to assemble all this.
Yeah.
So now that we have the crown and a little bouquet.
The ideal is to have several people who prepare the little bouquets.
So we're going to place them.
Yes, you have to be someone all the time.
You, you're going to hold on.
And you have someone who has to pass you the bouquets as you go.
So a team of two.
We have someone who prepares the threads for us.
Because it goes fast.
Okay, okay.
Around a little stick.
Like Marion does.
So there, with the thread that Marion prepared, if I find the thread.
So I take a small bouquet, very fleshy, not too long.
Nicely arranged with pretty leaves on top.
And there, I'm going to attach it to my circle with the help of the thread.
So there, at the beginning, we can start with the gray thread.
It's not embarrassing.
It won't be seen at the end.
No.
Wait, on the other hand, I should have prepared a little.
At some point, we're going to move on to the green thread.
Here.
When we go to the surface.
Exactly.
This is the material.
In fact, you put your ugly leaves underneath.
Underneath.
Like that, it makes volume.
Yes.
And you put the pretty leaves on top.
Here.
Like that.
Yes.
Well, it's pretty.
Perfect.
Yes.
There, I tighten well.
That's why I take the thick thread.
There is also green.
Yes.
It's not because it's thick.
A thread that holds well.
And we tightened well there.
We have to tighten well.
After, we take a second one.
So we go back.
Ah yes, wait, that's important.
I explain that well because a while ago I was asked.
We go back.
There.
So we're going ...
Here we go backwards.
We go backwards.
And we just hide what we just did.
And we want it to be all thread.
So we ...
After, it's each one's own taste too.
We're not going too fast when we go back.
Yes, you must not leave holes.
That's why what Marion prepared is still very useful.
Because ...
What did Marion prepare?
She prepared the little rolls of thread.
I don't interrupt, I don't interrupt by cutting small pieces.
Yes, yes, it's a bit like that.
It's going to be a big bouquet, you can imagine.
Yes, yes, yes.
It's very thick, for the bouquets.
In fact, you need a lot of people on the bouquets,
because it goes faster than the time to make a bouquet.
So you really need more people here to make the bouquets.
Go ahead.
I've already put two bouquets.
I'm going to go easy, I'm always backing up,
but to make it really take volume,
I put ...
I only have three bouquets.
So I'm still close.
It must be all fused,
it must be all fused, it must be all fused,
and then we just have to put it together a little bit.
Here.
OK, great.
And so now you're going to do that all around?
Yes, I'm going to do that all around.
So wait, no.
On the size of the bouquet,
it shouldn't be too long,
it's the maximum width of the A4 sheet,
that is, 21 centimeters.
OK.
And very touched like that.
I really need to hold it in my hand.
Maybe a little more.
OK, very good.
Otherwise I can ...
So after the idea is to give a structure to the crown.
So there we were, we were there,
so there you finished, right?
A first layer.
So I put a second layer, more or less.
And above all, we try to structure
so that it makes a beautiful ...
We don't let it walk around.
Exactly.
And then we're going to go with green thread.
It is important that the thread is green
to prevent it from being visible.
And also, you have to let small branches pass over it
so as not to see it.
So really the goal of this thread
is to structure the crown.
So what is this thickness
that we tried to give it earlier
by putting several small herbs
I don't know if we're talking about herbs, but ...
What we called small bouquets.
Small bouquets.
And while leaving leaves on it
so that it stays a little natural, alive.
Yes.
It's not a sausage.
Exactly.
It's not a cute thread.
And if necessary,
do not hesitate to put small tufts.
So you don't have to be too tight
to prevent the thread from being seen.
You don't have to hesitate
to put small tufts
of pine
to leave a little volume.
You mean over it after?
No, no.
If at the time of tightening
we realize that it is a little too much
we lose volume.
We can slip small tufts inside
to give this aspect of volume.
So not too tight to let yourself free
after entering or leaving.
No, it's not too tight to be able to get out.
At the time of putting this green thread
do not hesitate to add
small green tufts
when we see that there is a problem
of thickness.
So there you turn.
I just look how many you put.
So that's very personal.
You pass a little above, a little below.
Exactly.
The style of each.
And so there will be style for all customers.
Exactly.
It's very personal at the end.
Yes, that's it.
Do not hesitate to restructure.
This is not very pretty.
These little pieces that are cut.
Do not hesitate to hide them.
Do not remove them because it's good
they give volume but hide them.
It's them that we try to hide them
in the crown so that they are not visible.
Great.
What we said earlier is that the crown
will be much wider than the circle.
So don't tell yourself that it's going to be
too small. You really have to anticipate
that there is a dozen centimeters more around.
We can see the difference there
on the crown that is in the process
of production.
Is it good? Yes.
To hide the thread
that Marie is putting
to put together,
we take out small short leaves
like that.
This is the little final touch.
And it's important to leave
small tufts
on the top
to make small leaves come out
that are not more than 5 cm
and that are not ...
that remain structured
that do not go everywhere
and that hide the thread.
We could do it again.
At some point there will be thread that will be seen
but the idea is that there are as few as possible.
And if there is thread that is seen too much,
we will hide it with the red ribbon.
Yes, there is that in addition to the red ribbon.
So after,
we will put the crowns that are finished outside
so that they stay fresh.
And besides that, we did not say it,
but above all, do not put the crowns
above the radiators while you work.
So there we will put the crowns
on a balcony
of the teachers' room
so that they stay well cool.
There it rains, it's perfect.
They will be well fresh, well moistened
for next week.
So we go to the teachers' room
and we will put them on the balcony.
I already put it down earlier.
Can you take one for me to show it?
So here it is.
The beautiful crowns
what it looks like.
Can you just hold it like that?
So below, here it is.
We can see that it will be the bottom.
It is normal that it is like that on the other side.
On the other hand, on the top,
it is very very beautiful
with small leaves coming out
according to the crowns, more or less small leaves coming out
and crowns of different sizes.
You can see the size and the style
very different.
