Matchbox Trucks - Nissan Titan Warrior Concept, Honda Ridgeline, International CXT

hey everyone today I'm gonna have a look at three trucks from Matchbox so for me as I've been getting more and more into this collecting diecast hobby everyone starts off with Hot Wheels because they're so accessible and here in the UK Matchbox are not very accessible at all um sometimes uh yeah and Tesco is very hard to find them and you generally get stuck with like you know in my one there's like loads of these cargo trucks that are really not very sought after and compared to the other range and um very very difficult to get a hold of but as I've been getting more and more into the hobby looking at these designs I really like Matchbox they compared to Hot Wheels they're more realistic they kind of it's like a more mature version like Matchbox like Hot Wheels like the young cool attitude kind of Vibes and Matchbox is you know a bit more mature but also very cool in a more realistic way and I really do like the castings they have so I picked up these three trucks and let's take a look at them so first we've got this 2007 Honda Ridgeline then we've got this Nissan Titan Warrior concept truck which looks quite futuristic which is what I like quite cool and the last one is this chunky tough looking uh International cxt truck and it's part of the mbx construction and this is from the 65th anniversary this year is the 70th Anniversary so five years ago this came out so time flies I don't know how it happens but it does okay let's get a look let's have a look at these okay let's start off with the Honda Ridgeline so it's got open like an open window here it's like a light blue tint inside you can see the interior usual Matchbox chunky steering wheel that should hopefully that will be improved in the future you can even see like some coffee cup holders right in the middle quite a nice detail and we've got back seats now as well and you can see the dash so they even put in like a little plastic bit for the mirror on the windshield which is a really nice touch so the front nothing no tempos no silver lights not even the Honda is done in silver this black bit could uh this front grille could be in black as well but yep nothing there what we do have on the side Matchbox United States Ridge line you've got this pattern oops there's a bit of Orange coming out there not being properly painting on but we do have some something on the back like side brake lights I guess or indicators but yeah really nice truck gold rims and it comes with this hook for a trailer and I think it's like compatible with other Matchbox trailers too we get sunroof as well most likely to cut down on the amount of die-cast used to save costs so they just bang in a sunroof fair enough uh not sure if this black part over the wheel is supposed to actually if that's like an orange misprint so it should actually be a bit lower um but yeah like on this one it's it fits it perfectly on this one so I think it's just missed it on the machine there but it's okay it looks alright overall and this yellow bit is supposed to match up to the window still here Maybe or a little bit lower so there we go but anyway let's have a look at the back so here most of it's plastic again save costs rather than having it all in metal and we've got some various items here like a box some things being wrapped up got like a rope or something like that so yeah got some you know handyman tools and stuff in the back the tires have got like a pattern on the outside uh overall really fun truck I mean you know this is quite easy for a customizers just add silver with a pen and stuff like that so you know the sculpt all the details in and they can it's good that they can leave it for customized at least so there we go that's the Ridgeline this one the international is it cxt big truck again all this is just straight up plastic on the back because it's quite it's longer and it's a bit higher as well we've got a couple layers of plastic here you've got the gray at the bottom and then black in the middle which forms the interior let's have a look inside that steering wheel is quite flat the angle of it quite down let me zoom in let's see if we can have a look further there you go automatic I guess I got some orange lights here I've got this little tag here cxt in like a mirror image and here it's supposed to be like that I don't even know look there there it reads correctly and on the other side it's been flipped so I'm not sure overall really cool oh it also comes with the same trailer attachment as well which could be compatible with a matchbox trailer of some kind of the front just plastic um yeah it's been designed quite well like okay I know that they don't have much money per casting so what they've done is pretty well thought out and really cool and this I'm not sure if you can see clearly in the light but these rims are actually light green they may look like dark silver with like a weird bluish tint but yeah they're like metallic green which is a nice touch as well oh actually we've got uh it's got the gray plastic the black plastic and we've got the see-through as well so quite a few layers of plastic involved overall nice boxy sturdy looking truck there and the last one the Nissan Titan Warrior concept not sure if it's actually went into proper proper production but as a design that looks brilliant it's similar to the 2023 rivian which I've got as well which I'll review in a later video where it's got this lip on the back and this bit this window part reminds me of the Ford F-150 the design of that truck on the side so let's take a look at the front clap based tampered on the front as a shame the Nissan sign wasn't yeah I didn't have some details on it it's cool again we've got a couple layers of plastic so we've got this light gray black and then we've got the transparent windows from the side I really like this dark kind of well this shade of silver with metal flake works really well and on the back so you see the Nissan sign has been coming painting on our tampered on rather but just not on the front but yeah at least we've got the back details in fully and some front lights which is really nice um you can see these plastic here instead of so got a pillar and for the B pill I've just used the plastic and then we've got the C pillar here to hold up the roof on the black on the top we've got this black paint over it [Music] some of the back is going to be plastic this is a really cool truck I really like the look of this one looks really sturdy really strong so let's give these guys a spin so I like the International cxt Truck a lot because well boy because it reminded me of Transformers bulkhead which is a character like a gentle giant robot um and I thought you know the whole big boxy look of the cxt matches yeah the kind of personality that he has and the kind of shape he has I also have this Maisto h h x concept which I thought would be a cool alt mode for a bulkhead so yeah it goes really well with my diorama and I really hope to build this up as my hobby continues to make like a cool scene here we are it's giving them a spin so you can see what they
