==============================
Well, well, well, my friends, hello and welcome back to yet another video.
Today, you join me not at the skate park, but in my office where the magic happens.
And today I'm showing you five tricks that you can learn on the carpet board
while the weather is trash outside. Let's get straight into it.
All right. So first things first, there's a few things you want to know.
One, if you've got a really sensitive floor underneath you,
make sure you do it on the bottom level of your building
or make sure you put a little carpet or something underneath you
just to make sure that if you're putting too much weight down,
you don't go through the floor and destroy your now,
which is cooking you some freshly baked biscuits.
So what I'm going to do is grab my Sylveon rug.
Anyone curious about where I got this from?
Literally got it off eBay for £15 and the quality resembles the price.
Anyway, we have here my board that I'm going to be using.
First things first, I'd like to use a board with no grip tape,
because if you use grip tape with socks,
then you're going to go through them socks very fast.
So I've got my rip and dip board here.
It doesn't have to be a shape board.
You can have any board you want as long as it's got no grip tape.
And if you've only got boards of grip tape, use a hair dryer
and you can get the grip tape off easily.
So the first trick we're going to go over today is the shove it.
Now, this is a very, very simple one to do at home.
Actually, even easier, as a lot of these tricks are without the trucks
and wheels, because it's just far less risk.
This one, I'm just going to give you a rundown of every trick real quick
and tell you how to do them.
This first one, you're going to use the ball of your foot.
You're going to put it on the side that faces away from you of the tail.
And then you're just going to push it this way.
Push it this way. Push it away.
If you were to do it without the board, it would look something like this.
It does stay under you a lot easier, though, when you actually jump for it.
The main goal to stop it from spinning too much is to stop the spin with this foot.
So you're going to kick back with that foot, step forward with this foot
at the same time, and you're going to go like this.
Without the board, it's going to look just like this.
Hopefully, I don't go through the floor.
Here's my demonstration.
One thing I will say, though, is when you are doing this on a cardboard
with no socks, it is basically socks on a hardwood floor.
So it can be a bit slippery, but that's your shove it.
For this next one, I'm going to move my carpet slightly
because I can hear the floor creaking underneath me and it's pranging me out.
So what we're going to do here is a boneless.
Now, the boneless is not something that you would normally see on a cardboard,
but you can actually learn the techniques pretty well.
And I actually might make a future video on this as well,
going over so much stuff that you can learn while it's raining outside
just to keep you guys going throughout the winter.
So this next one, boneless, if you skate regular, you take your right hand,
put it on the side, take the front foot off.
And then as you pull this up, you straighten this leg out.
The leg comes up like this, Ben, and you straighten it out like that.
And then that's how you jump back onto it.
Try not to jump from too high, because like I said,
you can cause a fissure into the ground below you.
Just start off really low.
Right hand, front foot off.
Grab it like that.
Straighten the leg and a little jump to send it home.
And we've got a visitor in here as well.
Shout out Willow in the comments.
So next up, this is one for people that are slightly more advanced, right?
The shove it is definitely the easiest trick that you can do.
The first one went over.
So now we're going to do a little variation of that
and we're going to try and make it a big spit.
Now, the easiest way to do this is to give yourself enough space.
So put your board on your little carpet area just off to the side.
And what we're going to do is we're going to try and do a 360 shove it
and a 180 at the same time.
So we're going to kick that back quite far.
And at the same time, you're going to jump like this.
And hopefully you should meet it on the 360.
It will look a little something like this when you feel like you can do it right.
Way easier than it looks and way, way, way easier
than doing it on a board of trucks and wheels.
That is actually a really difficult trick on a board of trucks and wheels.
So practicing it like this might just get that unlocked for you in the real world.
All right.
So now we're going to go over a little variation of what we just did.
The 360 shove it.
Now, this is slightly easier version than the big spin for some.
Not everybody finds it easier, but for me, I do.
So what you can do exactly the same as a shove it.
But this time we're kicking it twice as hard this way.
So like that.
And the great thing about the carpet board is it just glides on the floor
like an ice rink.
So it works out perfectly.
You can get really used to how hard you need to kick it.
And after a while, make sure to stop with the front foot
just like I told you before.
And that's your 360 shove it.
OK, the final one for this video.
And by the way, I'm well up for making another one of these.
So let me know if you want five more tricks because there's so many we can go over.
Anyway, so this one is the saddle flip.
Basically, what you do for this one is you pop the board into your hand.
And yes, you can pop it with no trucks and wheels.
I'll show you how in a second.
Pop the board into your hand.
It's left hand for regular, right hand for goofy.
If you're goofy, you're going to throw it like this.
And if you're regular, it looks like this.
So basically what we're going to do here and bear in mind,
this is actually a bit harder for me right now because I've got a super pointy nose.
And I'm not talking about the one on my face. Stop laughing.
I'm going to grab this here and we're going to twist the wrist.
So this is my hand here attached to the end of my arm, believe it or not.
So we're going to put this here and this goes this way.
So you flick of the wrist, the flick of the wrist.
And the more you practice it,
the more pissed off your mom gets at the noise.
Right. So now in action, I'm going to try and pop it up for you to pop it up.
You're going to put quite a bit of pressure on here
because you're not going to get the tail off the ground,
but you can pop it up high enough so that you can grab it with that front hand.
Like is the mission that we're up to.
So the final cardboard trick for today will look a little something like this.
