Not getting enough sleep affects our health
in many negative ways.

diabetes, metabolic problems, immune deficiencies,
and the list can go on and on.
So I wanna share with you specific foods or drinks
that you have in your house right now
that when you eat them or drink them,
this can help you get to sleep so much faster
so you can sleep deeply through the night
so you can be refreshed and ready to take on the day.
And having insomnia, lack of sleep
is becoming a serious issue worldwide.
And many people out there,
the millions are relying on medication.
Those sleeping pills have serious side effects as well.
If we can help ourselves naturally
through food, through nutrition,
that makes so much sense to me
and that would be the way to go.
And drinking chamomile tea before bed
can do wonderful things for your body.
It will give you that muscle relaxation and sedation.
Chamomile has anti-inflammatory
and neuroprotective properties.
It's the active antioxidant, epigenin,
that's in chamomile tea that has these medicinal properties
that will help you sleep.
And having a banana before bed
can help get you to sleep as well.
It's not only filled with magnesium,
it's filled with tryptophan, an amino acid,
that your body needs to produce serotonin,
which is then converted to melatonin.
And melatonin is responsible
for regulating your body's sleep-wake cycle.
And walnuts can help you get to sleep as well.
The sleep-regulating hormone melatonin, tryptophan,
and the omega-3 fatty acids
can do wonderful things within the brain
to help secrete those hormones
so your mind and body can relax.
And turkey is also filled with the amino acid tryptophan.
This will definitely wind you down,
where it will help you get to sleep faster
so you can sleep deeply through the night.
And tart cherry juice will also help promote sleepiness.
It has high amounts of melatonin.
It's rich in antioxidants,
including anthocyanins and flavanols.
And if you're struggling with falling asleep
and staying asleep, there's lots of research out there
that this may do the job.
And drinking a warm glass of milk
will definitely help you rest.
It's filled with tryptophan.
It causes hormonal and chemical changes in the brain
that will wind you down so you can sleep deeply.
And studies also show that oatmeal,
which is filled with soluble fiber,
has also been reported to induce drowsiness
when consumed before bed.
And additionally, the oats
are also a known source of melatonin.
And having an egg or two a couple hours before going to bed
can definitely help you get to sleep as well.
Eggs are an excellent source of tryptophan, melatonin,
as well as vitamin D.
This will definitely improve your sleep
and help you sleep deeper.
And the most important thing is when you eat these foods,
you don't wanna eat large portions before bed.
Some people benefit eating or drinking this
one half hour to an hour before bed,
some two hours before bed.
They say you shouldn't eat
between two and three hours before bed,
although our metabolisms are all different.
So you need to explore to what works best for you.
And some good advice for you is when you sleep,
make sure your bedroom is quiet, dark, relaxing,
the temperature is comfortable.
Avoid large meals, caffeine, and alcohol before bedtime,
and try to avoid any type of light or blue light
that's present in your bedroom.
One of the most important things we can do
to help us sleep better is to try to get some exercise.
If it's walking, riding a bike,
whatever hobby or sport that you enjoy doing,
just get a little exercise.
It will make a tremendous difference
for your body in so many ways.
