We've been racking our brain on how to build a version of our model tiny cheaper! In this video we give a quick rundown of how we're doing just that.

What's up, everyone?
I'm Stephen here with Tiny House Listings, and today I'm standing in front of one of
our models, which is called the Model Tiny.
This one's 28 feet.
And lately, what we've been doing is trying to figure out a way to bring the price of
these down.
So the goal is to figure out a way to bring the price of these down about $5,000.
Because of the way the economy is, the way lending is right now, every little bit helps.
And people are trying to get out of their regular homes, they're trying to get out of
their regular rentals and get into a tiny house like this, because the numbers are very
much in your favor.
If you can either buy a piece of land and put the tiny house on it, or move your tiny
house into a tiny house community, which by the way, we're working on two tiny house communities
now here in North Carolina, which should go online next year.
So send us a little email at build at tiny house listings.com so we can share more information
about that.
So what could happen is you could buy one of our tiny houses, finance it, have it shipped
to one of our tiny house communities, and then pay a small lot fee each month and boom,
you're up and running.
So anyways, I want to tell you about this right here, the way we started building our
tiny houses lately, we're building from the inside out.
And that allows us to build them much quicker.
And it also allows things to be much more square, like almost down to the point we're
getting to where like these things, we just about perfected them.
So anyways, we'll step inside and I'm going to show you some of the ideas we've implemented
to help bring the price of these homes down without compromising on the quality.
So if you notice on the walls, we, the, this particular one, we're thinking about calling
the model tiny eco or something like that is just a way, like I said, to bring the price
down.
We're implementing cabinet grade plywood on the walls and each one, we're doing nickel
back and that allows us to do the interior much quicker.
Now this stuff is very expensive.
So that kind of goes against what we're saying as far as bringing the price down, but the
time that we're able to build these allows us to do it much quicker.
And honestly, it looks good, but these walls will actually be painted white.
And so you won't necessarily see the fact that this is plywood, but once we put the
roof on the roof, the ceiling of one of these will look just like this.
So when you look up, you'll see the plywood.
So a lot of people like this.
So we've done a few of these so far.
So if you look at each one of these, we can't really see from here, but each one of these
panels are actually glued and we put a lot of screws in these as well.
And these are so strong.
These are half inch thick.
So between this and the exterior sheeting, it adds a lot of structural integrity when
going down the road.
So we really, really like that on the other model where it's a little bit more.
One of the things that's different is we use shiplap.
Shiplap seems to be pretty expensive and very time consuming to install.
But yeah, this is going to be called, we think for as of now, the Model Tiny Eco.
And so again, we're trying to bring the price down on these so more of you guys can afford
it.
That's the whole purpose of tiny houses.
Our goal is to keep the prices low and have really high quality tiny homes.
So if you're interested, email us at build at tinyhouselistings.com.
We have a full sales team that can actually help you out, walk you along the process of
getting financing.
Something like this, you could finance for about 600 bucks a month, depending on your
credit and how much money you have to put down and things like that.
But again, you could have us build your tiny house for you.
We have it shipped to one of our tiny house communities.
If you have another one in mind for now, we can ship it to that one.
Next year, our tiny house communities will be online, two of them here in Eastern North
Carolina and then one in the mountains of North Carolina.
But yeah, if you're interested in having one built for you now, we actually have a few
that aren't spoken for yet.
So we can have that shipped to wherever it is you want to go.
Anyways, build at tinyhouselistings.com.
So anyways, thanks for watching.
See you on the next video.
