Leylah Annie Fernandez's best shots at the 2023 National Bank Open

It's just magnificent touch from Laila Fernandes. What a drop shot. He did the right moment as well to use it. Staub stands for so short. Well. A fair bit to do as well with the final shot. He's showing the speed out here, the Canadian. Did so well. The second time I'm asking, Laila Fernandes is able to put it away and keep this competitive. Twice as well. Brilliantly done from Laila Fernandes. What a point motion that we've been wanting to see from Laila Fernandes. What a strike from Laila Fernandes. It looked as though it was Stearns on top of that point. He had some clever volley in the end. Just hesitated slightly in coming forward initially did Fernandes, but got the job done. Brilliant serve. On her own terms there, Fernandes. That's a nice touch. Took all the pace off that ball, Fernandes. Good discovery. Fair to do. That was a magnificent approach with that backhand from Fernandes. Good move forward. Best strike to the day. That's wonderful footwork. Get that forehand into play. Thanks, Gil. Excellent net coverage. And the Canadian really did go after the ball. We can do without. Exactly. Tentacle. The experience that she wanted. You hear the crowd. How much they're going to get into it and get behind it. Fernandes just working her way up.
