First, my wife and I will pick some vegetables. Then, we will go to the other side to pick water spinach. These are the vegetables that we grow ourselves. They are very clean. We can eat them without worries. Our water spinach is grown over here. Over here, it is very dense. The water comes from the ground. In Nhuong, we grow turmeric, ginger, beans, and bananas. According to my parents, this is the ant's nest. The ant's nest used to be very large. Now, there are no more ants on it. The last one is gone. This is water spinach. I don't know what this vegetable is called. But it is edible. It has a bitter taste. It is quite delicious when cooked with soup. If you know what this vegetable is called, please let me know. This is Chinese pepper. My wife and I will pick some to bring home. This year, we don't have much Chinese pepper. We only have food, no chili to sell. We have to have Chinese pepper for Tet holiday. It is spicy and delicious. My wife and I also pick some vegetables to bring home to raise chickens and ducks and raise two pigs. After today, my house will be a Tet cake and a buffalo cake. For the buffalo cake, my house uses chif leaves or also called dot leaves. For the Tet cake, my house uses banana leaves. These are wild banana leaves. The first thing to do is to grill the leaves on the fire first. Do you know why we have to grill the leaves on the fire first? We do this to make the banana leaves more flexible and to avoid the leaves from breaking when we bake the cake. My family uses two types of rice to make the cake. This is white glutinous rice. And this is red glutinous rice. We can eat this red glutinous rice directly. Because my family has grown it. Then I will use this rice to make the shape of the cake. I have just finished one.
