Welcome to Elicite, the new fine wine experience. This is your journey through
the world of fine wine. It's beautifully rich culture, distinct heritage,
fascinating stories and years of refined craftsmanship. From old world to new
world, our goal is to help you explore and experience this world from a new
perspective. To start this journey we sent three explorers to France to meet
the experts and people that make the wine industry so fascinating. We
intentionally chose three individuals that know relatively little about wine.
I'm here in Burgundy to learn about the whole process of winemaking. I'm gonna
meet a lot of different people to teach me about Champagne. We've got some
incredible experts lined up, so let's go meet them. Through their questions and
experience we will cover a number of topics, starting with the Essential
Series, progressing to the Explorer Series and going all the way up to the
Master Series. This journey will help uncover the facts and truth about fine
wine whilst also touching upon a number of incredible stories along the way.
In this Essential Series we cover the basics of serving, storing and drinking fine
wine. We also look at the hidden costs, how to read and understand wine labels
as well as a number of other fascinating topics. We will then delve deeper into
more advanced and technical information, travelling through three of the world's
most prestigious and renowned fine wine regions, Champagne, Burgundy and Bordeaux.
Our first explorer, Diego Miranda, is a successful international hair stylist
within the fashion world. Diego went to the home of sparkling wine and one of
the most celebrated wines throughout history, Champagne, to explore this
distinguished region. How do you make Champagne? Good question. You have grapes
and after we make fermenting and wine becomes fizzy. Simple. Easy. Not so easy,
there is some other tricks. Chebba, our second explorer, is a popular commercial
graffiti artist based out of Bristol. Chebba visited the region of Burgundy, the
epicentre of France's fine wine trade and home of the most expensive wines in
the world, to learn what makes its red and white wines so sought-after. You
mentioned toasting, what is toasting? During the making, the copper burns inside
the barrels and your wine is impacted with toasty notes. So they actually put
flames inside the barrels to affect the taste of the wine? Yes, yes.
Finally, Stephanie Jordan, who is an influencer and social media content
creator in the spirits industry. Stephanie went off to Bordeaux, one of the
most prestigious and perhaps most famous wine regions in the world. How
would you sum it up in one sentence? Fresh, vivid, edgy. Kind of like you. Thank you,
that's very nice. Elicite's mission is to inspire you to explore the world of
fine wine, empowering personal appreciation and learning. Through
sharing the amazing stories and facts from the experts within this captivating
industry, we aim to move beyond the traditional approach to wine. This is the
new fine wine experience.
