Arsenal vs PSV Eindhoven 1-1- All Goals & Highlights - Champion League 2023

Going into this one, neither do PSV either. Both sides already through to the last 16 of the Champions League, of course, but an opportunity for players to prove a point and impress. Kickoff in Eindhoven is next. It's Lucy Ward alongside Adam Somerton. Good evening, guys. Thank you, Rashmi. Good evening, everyone. So a rare setback for Arsenal on Saturday night. The Gunners' six game winning streak ended at Aston Villa, but it remains a season of huge league referee in charge tonight. It's been a top flight ref in Germany since 2012, FIFA listed since 2014. His compatriot, Christian Dinguert, in charge of VAR. Well, Mikel Arteta, as expected, has named a heavily rotated seek revenge. It matters not for either side's prospects. Both are through. Arsenal's grip on top spot, not in danger. But after getting into the Champions League again this season, but it's just too easy for Arsenal in the end. Mouto Junior, it's a lovely ball to pick him out as well. There's others arriving in the box and Ramsdale. But how has that stayed out? First significant attack that we've seen. Heavy touch there from Mouto Junior. PSV now seek to threaten from the resulting corner. It's a good ball too, and Obispo got his head on it. But how quick they were chasing, but Ramsdale quickly out. They're looking for it. Eddie Nketiah has got Trossard arriving in the box in Saipane. To the most of opportunities to impress against Premier League opposition tonight, Bakayoko is one of them. That's his ball in towards Pep. Trossard, quite Mertz. He'll be arriving in the box. And Tese was the option on the winning. Nelson's done well here. Offside positions, they make their move back in towards Havertz. It went behind for a goal kick. Quite get that right, Havertz, good run. But Tesson is arriving, couldn't quite get there before Cedric who read the danger. To get through in second place. That's exactly what's happened, but they will. Bakayoko again, might pull the trigger here. And he wasn't far away. And again, good work from PSV down. Tese, towards Pepe again and the header is. Came off the post. So close again there to an opener, PSV. Yeah, a lot of the start time for that. And then tomorrow night, huge evening for Newcastle. Now he finds Trossard and Havertz is waiting in. Great battling there by Nelson to win it back and look for Eddie Nketiah, who was trapped by Ramal Neni. Cedric. He did all right. Rhys Nelson, not right. It's really nicely done by El Neni. So close, wasn't he? As close as Arsenal have come so far. Get some service into Pepe again. It's beyond him. Kivio, overthought that a bit. It's a great chance. It's Pepe again. And blocked by Saliba. And Bakayoko, sat up for Tese. Jorginho, Kivio wanted it back and got it. Several in the middle and Nketiah was one of them. I think a great run for Nelson. It's better on that left-hand side. Havertz touching. Eddie Nketiah, got it out of his feet and finished beautifully. That is a proper centre-forwards finish, isn't it? From Eddie Nketiah. It's his first Champions League goal. Took it so well. Brilliant, Nketiah. Instinctive, that's what he's all about. The hours on the training pitch, practising that sort of move, ball played into you. Get a good touch and finish. Absolute quality. Eddie Nketiah's been a frustrating 21 minutes or so for him in his first half. Terrific play. He goes on the outside. And Pepe's in there. Couldn't get it on target. He looks a player, doesn't he, Bakayoko? Vitesse. Still with Bakayoko. He drives on and has a goal. Forces the save from Ramsdell. He is so direct, isn't he, Bakayoko? Brought that down really well. And then he couldn't stop it. Brilliantly for Nketiah. And he took his goal. Arsenal. And I think they're quite dynamic on the right-hand side. PSV through Bakayoko. But centrally they're not on regains. It just allows the pace of Arsenal to get back. Bakayoko looking for the room for the shots. And then it's just dragged wide by Vitesse. Yeah, better by Tillman. Not really so. Pepe. Zaybadi's arriving to his right. Vitesse. Oh, it's in! Equaliser for PSV. In off the post. Run for Vitesse. That's better. Actually built really, really well. That's central. Zezé. Havertz gets the free kick. Júnior. Oh, it's come through to Pepe. They've been in the League Cup. The thing he can do though, he carries the ball well. Runs at speed with the ball really under control. Júnior is a long way forward too. What a great cross. Set up to be hit by van Aernholtz. Comes out here to Tillman. And Nketiah's at the back post. Arsenal fans in the back. Still high level playing in a Champions League game that doesn't really mean much in terms of the result. Momentum is such an important thing, Lucy, isn't it, in sport? A threat here. Havertz waiting in the middle. And into the side netting. Again it goes from Nelson. And once again though, Zaybadi. Who's turned well. And got his shot off and hit the post. Ramsdale was beaten. Things start to go a little bit wrong at any point. He's got two in the box. Goes down right on the edge. And he gets the free kick. I don't think there was any doubt that it was out. In it goes from Bakayoko towards the back post. Tillman. An option. We see a double change here made by Trossard. To Eihard. Tesek. Back here by Pepe. La Crosse was a search. Petya trying to Wriggle away. Here from PSV. Goalkeeper came a long way and didn't get there. Now the whistle has gone here. The flag is up on the far side. And today I went out to buy a bag. And I bought a bag and came back. But I haven't found two bags yet. Now I have to go to the next day to buy two bags. So now I'm going home. I thought I'd talk to you a little bit. Because I was feeling a little lonely. What will I do alone? I don't like to go alone. So I'm going to pass my time.
