Welcome to the Artemaster channel!
Today I am super happy because we are going to see how to paint, how to personalize a sweatshirt like this
with a print like this, which the truth is that it is quite cool
and it is done, although it seems impossible, with LeGit.
So if you are interested in knowing how this type of design is made, stay because we are starting.
Very well, the first thing we need is a basic, normal and ordinary black sweatshirt.
But yes, a very important thing that you have to keep in mind about the sweatshirt is the following.
It has to have this symbol, the triangle with the cross.
That triangle indicates that it cannot be washed with bleach,
but in this case we are going to take advantage of the issue of bleach to be able to paint on it.
So look that it has this symbol to make sure that it will be painted orange.
I'm going to tell you all you need to make the sweatshirt, so you don't get surprised later.
So apart from the sweatshirt we will also need, of course, the bleach.
In truth, the brand does not matter, although I have tried other brands and some do not work, I do not know why.
But the thing is that the bleach, at least in Spain it is called bleach, I do not know in your country,
but it is the product that smells so strong to disinfect
and that when it falls on black clothes it tints orange.
The composition of the product has to have chloroactive, that is what tints.
This one, for example, has 40 grams of chloroactive per liter.
Then we will also need some bowls, plastic cups, whatever, containers to be able to put the bleach there,
brushes, of course, to paint on the sweatshirt,
a piece of cardboard, wood, similar to this one, to put it under the fabric,
once we are painting so that it does not pass to the face of the back, let's say.
Some white chalks or chalks, I don't know how they are made in your country.
Or if you don't have chalks, it would also serve white pastel pencils or any other light color.
And finally, and this is optional, acetates or what have been plastic sheets,
in case we wanted to make stencils.
Later I will give you a demonstration on the sweatshirt so you can see what that is about.
And we will also need the design on a A4 sheet, and for that you will probably need a printer.
But hey, they are basic things.
This time we don't need unicorn tears either.
So with all these materials said, and I think they are quite easy to get, let's get to it.
Great, because the first thing we will do with our bowls, containers, glasses or whatever,
is to fill them with a little bleach.
I'm going to use the measure of the cap that the bleach has,
and I'm going to put a cap on each of the containers.
Now that I've put a cap on each one, I'm going to leave the first one with pure bleach,
and from the second I'm going to add water more and more as I go away to the right.
This is how we will get different tones,
since in each container we have a different amount of water, which will make the color change.
Now I'm going to give you a quick test here so you can see what these types of reactions are like,
and as you can see, on the left it looks quite clear,
as soon as we put the bleach, it starts to react and get that ocher tone.
And well, here is another test that I did previously so you can see better how it looks.
The first problem we find is that depending on the fabric we are going to use,
it will fade as more yellowish or more orange.
And now I'm going to show you with these same mixtures that we just did with this garment.
And you may be wondering how we can do some tests
of how the color will look on the sweatshirt without spoiling it.
That is, I would like to see what tones it will give of orange, but I don't want to stain it.
I need to see how the tones are going to be before starting to make the final drawing.
Okay, for that we are going to do the following and that is to turn the sweatshirt or shirt that we want to paint.
I have already turned it around and on this inner part we can do some very small test to see how the tones will be.
At least in the sweatshirts we will find some part, key point, where there is this type of seam, you see?
These seams that, although we stain them, they will not pass through the outer part,
since there, if we paint carefully, it will not pass to the other part.
So now I'm going to do a mini test with the tiles that we have prepared in this mini-sweatshirt so you can see the difference.
And it is important to do this type of tests inside, since this way we will know exactly the tones that we will have.
As you can see, here there is a big difference compared to the previous test that we have done.
Simply with the same solutions, the color is much more intense.
Well, look here at the seams of the sweatshirt inside, we have made the color palette.
This is pure tile, it looks like white, skin color.
These two tones look quite similar, so I think a solution would be to add a little more tile to this second.
Then we would have all this gradient of colors, I repeat, this is from more tile to more water.
And this is how we would have those tones to play while we paint the drawing.
What I was also commenting to you is the difference depending on the fabric.
Look, this is the tone of pure tile, look here how it changes, the tone is different.
And not only that, but when I was lowering the water, here it looked very faded and look here that it looks orange.
So it is very important that we do this type of tests in the seams, in a part inside that is not going to be seen.
Be careful, it has to be a seam because if you do it, for example, in this part, it will go through, okay?
Because it is liquid and there will also be a splash on the outside.
So, with our palette ready, we can continue.
For example, here, as I was saying, I am going to add a little more tile.
By the way, to remember you later about the palette, you take a photo with your mobile and you already have the colors.
That of the seam that we just did is to check if your fabric is suitable or not to make the drawing.
If it comes out with the tones like that, well orange, it is very good.
Now we need the design, it can be the one you want, or you can make the AI do all the work for you.
Even the style, so to speak.
Let's see.
You have to come to this web, bing.com images create.
This web, the day I record, is totally free, you have all the attempts you want.
And I'm trying to generate an image of Levi, of Levi.
Then I already give you the prompt made for you to simply change the name of the character and so you can get the one you want to do.
So, for example, what do you want to do to Naruto?
Well, you change everything that says Levi for Naruto and that's it.
So nothing, with that prompt we would give here to create.
And in a few seconds it will have given us four images, suggestions of drawings that will be quite good.
And also with those perfect orange tones to capture them in our sweatshirt.
Here it has given us some examples, all of these are totally without copyright.
For example, this one is cool, or this one is also pretty cool.
And we can give it, as I say, to create as many times as we want until one of the designs convinces us.
But if not, of course, you can also do it with any design you find on the internet.
But the advantage of doing it with the AI is that it already gives you with the light tones, dark tones and orange tones and you can guide yourself much more easily.
That said, it's time to print.
This is going to be the photo that I'm going to do in the sweatshirt.
I have put the title by hand, okay? It can be removed.
So that the printer does not spend 40 liters of black ink in the background, you go to image, settings, invert and then image, settings and black and white.
So we have it ready to print and it will spend the minimum amount of ink, since we only want to make the outline with the pencil.
Now we go to our Levi, to a Word, here we have it.
Right click, adjust text, behind the text.
What I'm going to do is, by pressing shift, I adjust here to the maximum possible size, since this is going to be a DIN A4 sheet.
And once we have it adjusted here to the maximum size, we can print it.
Well, I already have the sweatshirt ready here.
This one that you are seeing here is the back part.
And this part here is just where the hood cuts.
From this point I recommend you about 15 centimeters to start putting the drawing from here.
And more or less by this distance is that we will start putting the drawing.
This is because then the hood is going to fall on top, okay?
So now is the time to put this piece of cardboard underneath.
We are going to tighten the cardboard well with tweezers.
And now that we have the cardboard ready so that the bleach does not pass and also have a smooth surface, in addition to having everything fixed with the tweezers.
What you are going to do is, with the chalk, we turn our design over and we are going to cover the entire back of the sheet very, very well with the chalk.
Well, we already have everything well covered with chalk, we are going to remove the excess, the dust.
To work on the design without it moving, we put a little body tape.
And now, with a pencil, we are going to go over all the contours.
If you didn't have chalk, you could also perfectly use cake bars or cake pencils.
The thing is that the material is dusty and when applying the pressure it gets impregnated in the clothes.
We remove and blow to remove the excess dust that is out there.
The lime is a little faded so I decided to use a white Posca, but this was actually a bit of a mistake.
Since then, when washing it, it was a bit difficult for me to remove it, I thought that being water-based, it would be easy to remove, but not really.
Well, after doing the lime with the chalk and going over it a little with the Posca, now it is ready to start painting.
So now, taking our mixes that we have prepared before, we take our brushes and start coloring.
For this, as you have seen before, I will be taking as a reference the image that the AI gave me, which also gives me with the orange tones.
And well, all this has to be done with a little calm, especially taking care that when you are going to wet the brush, it does not drip on the clothes,
because at the very least a drop will fall on the clothes, because obviously the orange dot will be seen.
And well, for the coloring to be more or less homogeneous, you have to try to distribute the same amount of water with chalk on the parts that you are painting.
Remember that if you want a whiter tone, you will have to use pure chalk,
and if you want a thinner and more orange tones, you will have to use the solutions with a little water.
In the same way, even using pure chalk, you will see that if you let it dry, then you can pass another layer with the pure chalk and it will be even whiter.
That is, every time you add a little more chalk in the area that you had already put chalk, it will even fade a little more.
You do have to be a little patient, since in reality the true tone will not be seen until the chalk and water are completely dry,
but after applying the brushstroke, waiting a couple of minutes, then you can pass the dryer and speed up that whole process,
since as you will be realizing, although here it is on fast motion, once you pass the brushstroke, the true color will begin to be seen after more or less a minute or two minutes after applying the brushstroke,
and the tone will gradually become lighter as it dries.
So yes, as you are seeing, with chalk you can not only get orange tones, but you can also get white tones.
The only thing you have to do for that is to give several passes until the ink fades enough.
For the rest, the process is quite simple, the only thing you have to be careful about is that the chalk does not run over you anywhere,
because otherwise you will stain the sweatshirt.
Well, this is how it would have been.
In that part it is a little more yellowish because that part of the fabric was old, a little worn out,
and it has made a weird reaction, but hey, it's not bad either.
And now, before finishing, I'm going to show you another method, which can be quite interesting too, to put a title below.
Using the acetate that I mentioned at the beginning, we can make some letters there and cut them with the cutter.
In this way we will get a manual stencil.
Perfect, we already have the stencil ready here.
I will also use a little glue stick to put it around here, not much either, just so that it sticks well to the fabric.
Don't worry about this glue stick, once we wash it, all this glue will go away.
And then, with the airbrush and the chalk inside, we will make very light small passes.
In this way, as I was saying, we put a little glue, this is not super mandatory either, but it gives it a layer of support.
Then we turn the stencil, we look well where we want it to be, I fill the airbrush with pure chalk and with the stencil well covered everywhere,
I start to give light and fast strokes, they have to be light, okay? Without soaking.
And between a complete stroke and a complete stroke, I let it dry and I help myself to dry it with a dryer to speed up this whole process.
And after repeating this same thing between 3 and 4 times, we will see how the letters are getting whiter and whiter.
Simply by giving layers until it has the tone you like the most.
It can be done, by the way, with a spray of these from watering plants.
What happens is that there the spray is a little more aggressive and maybe you have to be quite careful when doing it.
But hey, with an airbrush this is how it looks, look at what a more professional result.
Well, we already have it ready and this sweatshirt that I am wearing right now is the one we have made, so I'm just going to turn around so you can see the drawing as it is.
Well, this is how it would look, the truth is that I like it a lot, in addition the hood that gives a height that does not cover the drawing, therefore it has been very good.
Tell me what you think of this personalization of sweatshirt, you can also do it with t-shirts.
Thank you very much for watching this video, give it a like if you liked it.
I think it has been a very professional finish and of course it can be washed commonly and all the drawing that we have made will not go away.
So nothing, always keep drawing, thanks for watching and see you very soon in the next video.
