Here are the BEST Credit Card BONUSES - January 2024

hey credit Warriors welcome to the show and we are about to start 2024 it's time for a fresh start and as always going into a new year I am always looking for how I can get value out of my credit cards and my credit card points so here is my best bonuses video for January 2024 and we'll be looking at both welcome bonuses those are the ones you get when you open a new card and also other types of bonuses some even available to current card holders of various cards and this video is brought to you by Kudos but more on that that later so we have reports of some huge bonuses on the AMX gold and AMX Platinum which go Way Beyond what is publicly available I'm going to save that for a little later in the video and show you how to get them because there is a special method but first if you are an IHG hotel member maybe you have the ihd credit card maybe you don't actually it doesn't matter for this one there is currently promotion running where you can earn double points on all of your IHG States all you have to do is register through this website that I'll put a link to in in the description or a pin comment below and any IHG stay that you do in January will earn double points there's also a second part to the offer where you can get an extra 2,000 points if you stay at more than one IHG brand in January 2024 the only thing that makes this not quite as attractive as I initially thought is that it is just double the base points not double any additional points that you get for your level of status or anything like that so IHG just gives the example of earning 10 points per dollar in base points for being an IHG member well then you now earn 20 points per dollar so double that for any IHG spend in January if you have the IHG Rewards Premiere Card you would end up earning 36 points per dollar spent since you earn 10 points for having the card 10 points for being an IHG member that's the one that's going to get doubled to 20 points and then six more points for having Platinum Elite status which is a benefit of the isg rewards premier card so in total it's 36 points per dollar that card currently has 140,000 Point welcome bonus I'll put a link to it below with all the other things that I'm going to talk about in this video all right let's talk about a promotion on another card where you can get some extra IHG points but also extra points with two other Airlines and that is the built card the only credit card that allows you to pay rent to any landlord with no fee it's been very popular throughout 2023 I don't have it personally because I don't pay rent I own where I live but if I was a renter I absolutely would have it anyway they have rent day on the first of every month where all of the points you earn on non-rent purchases with the card are doubled but in addition to that they also offer some promotions normally those promotions are transfer bonuses to Airlines and on January 1st 2024 rent day is no different so let's look at all of the things that are going to be offered you will get a transfer bonus to all of these Partners Flying Blue which is Air France and km's loyalty program IHG hotels and Virgin Atlantic and like with other rent days the bonus you get when you transfer your points point over to these Partners is pretty high so normally all of them are one to one but on January 1st you're going to get a 75% bonus if you are a blue member that's the base level of membership that everyone has so 1,000 points becomes 1,750 either airline miles or hotel points then you get a 100% bonus for silver members 125 for gold and 150 for platinum so if you're a platinum you get 2,500 airline miles of Hotel points for every 1,000 buil points it's going to be a better deal with the airline miles and those Airlines than it is with IHG points cuz IHG points are only worth about half a cent or so to begin with whereas airline miles are worth on average between 1 and 2 cents a piece however isg recently changed how you qualify for the different membership tiers some would say they have ruined it but you know for others not really you might actually find it easier to qualify now I made a video about this it looks Amazon they will be worth 50% more now they are kind of sneaky like other issuers are too with telling you how much the points are worth when you use it for Amazon for obvious reasons they're not worth that much okay it's just 0.7 cents a piece normally when you use points on Amazon so this 50% extra adds 0.35 cents to that making your points worth 1.05 cents a piece at Amazon for one day only so it's not great but if you really want to use the points for that you know be my guest then there is one more thing and that is that all Card members regardless of status are going to get a $5 lift bonuses on credit cards but first if you use credit cards to build up points and cash back which if you're watching this you probably do otherwise you wouldn't be watching this video so if you do have bonuses that are a limited time offer ending later in January I'll tell you the exact date that they end in a moment but let's first go through the bonuses so on the Hilton Honors card you can get $ 100,000 points for spending $2,000 in your first 6 months that bonus is worth about $600 if we use a Points Guy valuation of 0.6 cents a piece then we have the Hilton Honors surpass card with a bonus of 170,000 points for spending $3,000 in your first 6 months that is worth $1,020 if we use a Points Guy valuation this card has a $150 annual fee by the way but many of the benefits offset that then we have the Hilton Honors Aspire card this is their top tier card and this has a welcome burnus of 180,000 points for spending $6,000 in your first 6 months that is worth $1,080 using a valuation of 0.6 cents per point and all of these different offers end on January 17th 2024 so you have about 3 weeks to get them if you are interested all right let's now look at the final story of the day and that is two huge welcome bonuses on the MX platinum and MX gold that are way higher than the public offers so the MX gold public offer right now is just 60,000 points the MX Platinum is just 880,000 but there is a way that you can get up to 90,000 on the gold and 150,000 on the platinum and that is through the card match tool I don't think I've actually ever talked about this on the show before now this is a tool on creditcards.com where they attempt to match you to cards that are suitable for you depending on where you live your income and a few other factors actually I tried it just now when I was writing the script for this and I don't really see how it matched me with any cards that were remotely suitable for me at all I mean I even had Credit One showing up in there and the
