Hi this is Shraddha and welcome to my YouTube channel.
Finally, after Mahashivratri, I'm on a vacation in Meghalaya and welcome to my vlogs.
Bye Libra!
Libra!
Shraddha Mohandas is going.
Where?
Home.
So from Coimbatore, first I went home to Kolkata, did my Covid test and then off to Meghalaya.
And on the way, the sky was looking like...
I reached Shillong airport around 3 pm
and on the way, stopped at Umiam lake.
The view wasn't that clear but it was beautiful.
On the way, I also did some fruit shopping
So good!
and had food at this beautiful cafe.
That night, I stayed in Sherapunji
and next morning, off to the Double Decker Root Bridge.
Okay, so this is the place we stayed last night.
I woke up at 6 in the morning, then I took shower, did my shamavi
and now I'm ready to go on a trek to Double Decker Bridge.
Thank you!
I got a stick because it's going to help me trek all the way.
It's going to be a long challenge.
It's a 3 km long trek with approximately 3500 stairs.
I found a big spider with eggs.
I'm literally inside a fort.
That way is the Double Decker Bridge way
and this is just 3 minutes away is the Single Decker Bridge.
Thank you!
If you are not physically fit, you can also come till the Single Decker Root Bridge.
See the roots.
This is a natural bridge made by the trees.
Mother nature at its best!
See, this bridge also moves.
Okay, Single Decker Bridge covered.
Now, I'm going to the Double Decker Bridge
and on the way, I took some local fresh lemon juice
and look how beautiful the place is.
If possible, don't bring any heavy luggage with you here.
I kept my big backpack at the cab
because tomorrow I'm going to take the same cab.
But you can also get a guide to carry your luggage
till the Double Decker Root Bridge for 700 rupees.
Look at the water here.
So green and beautiful!
Okay, so I started my journey at 10 and now it's 12.25
and finally, I'm at the Double Decker Bridge
and finally, I found a nice place to do shoonya here.
That's my room.
This is the view.
Okay, so the place is nearby the Double Decker Bridge.
I can even go there in the afternoon.
I'm going to stay here tonight.
I'm just loving the sound of the fall.
Okay, good morning!
6 in the morning and I've got my guide
who's going to take me to the Rainbow Waterfall from Double Decker Bridge.
And this trek was more difficult
but definitely more beautiful than yesterday's trek.
One more bridge.
One more root bridge.
It seriously feels like I'm in some kind of a
you know, sci-fi movie like Maleficent or something.
This is the hardest trek so far.
I also injured my leg.
I'm trying to stay as much positive as possible
because my right knee is like hurting
and I'm singing like my leg is fine, my leg is fine.
The guide said two hours
but I managed to finish it in one and a half hours.
Okay, so it's like 7.30 in the morning.
The rainbow will appear around 10.
I don't have that much time.
It took me one and a half hour to trek till here
and I would say to have time and energy.
This place is a must visit if you are in Meghalaya.
Okay, so we're returning back and it's all done.
Thank you, brother.
And thanks to my stick.
Then I had food and the return journey was like really difficult.
3500 steps again.
Feeling so good.
I successfully returned within two hours.
Feeling so proud of myself.
Then my plan was to go to Dawki
but on the way some road construction going on
and everything messed up.
Okay, so it's 5.30 pm and finally I got a cab
and I'm going to Dawki now.
Finally reached.
We're going down there.
I reached here at 8.30 at night
and I'll show you the place tomorrow morning.
Hi, 6 in the morning and look at the place I am at.
So finally I'm at Shongpdeng village
camping at Ungat river.
That is my camp.
Okay, so good that I found a flat platform here.
So I can do my sadhana and check this out.
This is my mini yoga mat that I travel with.
It's perfect for Shambhavi.
Okay, morning sadhana done.
Now I'm gonna go explore.
I want to go to that bridge.
Now that is the cleanest river.
Just look at its crystal clear water.
It's so fun.
I also did mini cliff jumping and it was super fun.
Ready, steady, go.
Go!
Weather is so nice.
It's 1 in the afternoon and now I'm going to the Kansuri waterfall.
I don't know if I'm saying it right.
Kansuri waterfall.
Yeah, I need to have a clue.
Okay, so I'll have to walk down there to the waterfall now.
It's really so good.
I went to that side of the waterfall.
I wish I had GoPro today.
Okay, so I found the spot where I'm all alone and I'm trying to dry my clothes.
It's so cold.
Okay, so it's super interesting.
Right now I'm in the border of India and Bangladesh.
You see the big rock.
That side of the river is Bangladesh and this side is India.
There's the Indian army officer and there's Bangladesh army officer.
Okay, so it's written on the other side there's Indian border.
Don't cross it.
So technically I'm in Bangladesh now.
You see all the stalls that side?
It's Bangladeshi.
Okay, so let's stick to the Indian part.
I don't want to get into trouble.
Last night of camping and I'm loving it.
Okay, so it's my last day in Meghalaya.
I'm going to Guwahati now.
From there I'm going to take a train to my grandmother's home.
I think I'm going to end this vlog right now.
