Oh, the monster!
We only stopped for about two minutes now, and it's already
ice
freaking cold.
Bread that we brought is
frozen into solid ice
so we have to heat it up on the skillet before we eat it and the cheese and everything is
turned into ice.
Inside the tent right now. It's minus 21 degrees. Is this the coldest night you ever
experienced?
Yeah, this is definitely a new record.
But it's pretty fun to test it out, so
the sleeping bag worked.
Yeah, I'm happy.
Do you want to upgrade to a bison bag now?
Yeah, maybe.
Because he has the Western Mountaineering Puma, and it's rated to down to minus 30.
But you were cold tonight.
I was cold.
But the trick to me was
heating up a water bottle and
putting it into the sleeping bag.
That worked really well.
So, yeah.
That's the trick if you're
really desperate.
Because yesterday when we arrived
we
were in our sleeping bags
around 12.
So it was
late, and we didn't
heat up any water
bottles, even though that's a good idea.
As you can see
the lens is just fogging up.
And this is what it's like to go
winter camping.
during the night, even though if I kept
it in this cozy.
Now I have to try to
open up.
I managed to get a small hole.
Cookies
and nuts.
And more chocolate.
Hey, table man!
That's my name.
Yeah, Mr. Table.
We stumbled upon some open water
so we prioritized to
fill up the bottles
because it's much more efficient
to heat up the water than
melting snow.
So we're dry now.
And tomorrow we're going
to start off the water and then
go up the traverse
down to Kresa.
And then
we can choose to cross
Sture-Kresa.
And if you remember
back in the Easter we came down
I think we followed
the ridge over here.
Then we came down here
around and then we had the base
camp where it became
plus 30
in the tent. That was around here.
And then we hiked up here
and then down.
How are we doing, sir?
Did you take a fall enough?
Yeah, I could fall asleep.
Here you go.
We fell asleep around
8.30 yesterday and now it's
8.30 in the morning.
So we've been sleeping in
or staying in the sleeping bag
for around 12 hours.
Today it's much warmer.
Right now
inside the tent it's only minus 1.
And it's
so much better
compared to
yesterday when it was
minus 20.
19 degrees.
You can definitely feel that.
That's it for this time.
Thank you for joining us on this adventure.
See you again in the next one.
Bye-bye.
