The Best Skateboarding Channel you Didn’t know Existed

right skaters hello and welcome back to another video today we're going to be going over one of my favorite skateboard channels on YouTube and this is actually a friend of mine as well my man's name is Mike and he is the skate Nomad now if you didn't know who that is basically what this man does is he goes from country to Country exploring the different skate scenes getting to know locals and just finding cool skaters skate parks there's one hell of incredible story about this guy which I will tell you along the way but we're going to start off by watching this one right here this skater from Malaysia is incredible right with all that being said let's full screen Malaysia 16 years old he is already a loal hero and wants to take only 16 years old that's crazy kiding to the next level back flew to Malaysia spend a day with him to learn Edward n how is it like to skate in his home yo it's been a few weeks since I've watched a mic video and to be honest the quality has improved massively now if you guys don't know Mike basically who he is he's a skateboarder from Canada who decided one day that right I'm just going to quit drugs quit this quit everything that is holding him back and just decided to go travel the world and and try and pave his way as Escape ber in the scene he's been to many different countries so far I think he's on his like 30th one the main goal being to skate every country on Earth he is currently in Malaysia so with that backstory out the way we know what's happening this is K Channel and welcome to so we're in Malaysia right now Malia is going to pick us up yeah 44 years old been for 30 years monkey they got four right now in the car yeah I well I thought that was Ricky glaza for a second there I can't lie that guy in the back left it'd be tripping now we're going to get another monkey yeah the small one my we're going to see one of the most talented skater in Malaysia is only 16 years old and I going pick it up at this place is going right now nice another thing as well yeah Mike actually films and edits all these on his phone so no camera equipment no nothing this is a real boots to the ground movement starts getting three years old Jesus he's been going as long as me and he's only 16 dude that's a nice t-shirt Black Flag yeah thanks man do you like Mike Val hell yeah let's go we love Mike Val today his big b the premiere last Village of Malaysia it's called I feel like one good thing about places like this doing videos like this is experiencing all of the different cultures for food you get the skate scene you get to know what the people get up to in their spare time and because of what Mike does he doesn't go there of a friend or anything he travels on his own so he's pretty much forced into breathing in the culture straight from the ground which is incredible it's going to get him such a unique experience compared to someone that might just go there for a holiday or whatever Ness yeah it's my favorite food Nessie means rice yeah Nessie rice Nessie rice is the only word I know cuz he skated each rice and it's no rice word in every country s right and another thing that I did a little interview with Mike a couple weeks ago and he told me that the food and stuff there is so cheap you eat this every day yeah every day man let's go skate now let's go skate this is second spot of the day welcome to no that's sick the spot is very chill not too heavy yeah yeah you not got much chance getting in the way of people there as well which is good nice little C 180 look good back 50 to back 50 that is such a Ricky CLM move as well these guys don't want to be first yo nice yeah this spot looks fun no slide to 5 bunk ledge yo these guys are actually sick nice and he's and he's even got the same freaking shoes that I swear that Ricky always wears this is the Malaysian Ricky glaza but now this kid is sick though what we got here God damn that was nice hard place to roll away from this spot as well as you you see like if you even land a bit to the side on one of the bottom stairs you could be slipping off quick time yes so what is this place so currently we at uh dataran data mhm so now we're going to MOS and pray yeah you pray every day nice no but every Friday every Muslim needs to come through MOS and pray yeah I respect that out of all religions I think the Muslim one is the one that I would back the most you know come on man they seem to be the people with the best morals outside of homophobia and stuff like that obviously they call it like a small M we can do it there's two with Yan because last night it rained all day but now as you can see we're the skate plaza it sunny it's sunny finally nice and that Plaza looks well nice as well this city just looks really nice as well the Bank of China in the background beautiful some tricks good morning my friend morning yeah we on a new day now not raining today yeah I think it's not going to rain we can maybe wait I don't know there's a lick your finger lick your finger and see window them this is like the international Multicultural way of determining where the wind is coming from yeah it's from there maybe it's going to rain I don't know yeah hopefully it's not going to rain sry 300 p.m. we're going to have a contest 3 p.m. contest nice simple tricks he's got a nice watch on too that looks cool let's get a little bit yeah today and the rain [ __ ] us a little bit but now hey we're in a good skate park one of the best skate park in Malaysia right sick right right first try L I would love to go to like Asia or Malaysia or somewhere like that just some somewhere where like there skate Parts like this the food is cheap the accommodation is cheap somewhere where I could live for like a month and not spend too much money I think that would be really cool if you want to see me go somewhere like that let me know cuz I'm flexible this year you know got a skate part to film Smith back tail lip slide off the corner nice go hit Slappy 5050 180 nice what we got next the little one foot air over the hip then the 50 fake key that was a nice line style is consistent this guy got good style at clothing wise as well for sure if this kid sticks a bit he's going to go far that's for sure Little Rock with the back foot kick out too but it's better than hitting the ground so we'll take it yeah the little one foot I love it when people do that man when they just do like a little line and the one foot just comes and tweaks off at the last second it's just that extra bit of sauce to make the meal a bit more tasty you know he loves that trick we've seen that like four times this why is he going for like a pressure varial here or a pressure flip off back free jeez that was nice straight back free is a hard [Applause] trick and he won Hell Yeah we'd love to see it makes me want to host more competitions we hosted a big competition this year or 2023 actually so last year want to do the same thing again in 2024 for [Music] sure little front tail slide see Mike's sick too he doesn't a lot of his um filming is other skaters but yeah he's incredibly sick too little blunt 5 rock and roll like these little Tech combos are like proper up my street as I'm sure you guys know if you a video before half C flip to fakey that was nice we got hereit there it is again second angle is too good yeah he's incredible all right it's G to go to the two time half flip Ian again he doesn't want to look at me every time he knows he wins at me see here's the thing right I I think that when you're at a skate competition if if someone has this is like this is just my personal opinion right you guys might disagree with this but for example when I'm hosting a comp competition I like to see like if one kid wins a board if I've then got a second board I'm not going to then give it to that same kid even if he's killing it cuz he's already prove to me that he's really good right you want someone else to give you something comparatively good to their skill level as opposed to this kid just throwing down bangers you want someone who's maybe not as good breaking a fear or doing something they haven't done before and give them the board because then that motivates them to get even better and if he just give one kid all the prizes he's going to feel a bit awkward afterwards and all his mates are going to be like why the hell has he got everything why didn't we get something like even if they don't say it people are going to think that so I think as someone who's running a skate contest that you should certainly spread the prizes out it's a bit different when it's like a point scored contest where it's like first second third prize and there's money involved that's different right then it's just whoever's the best is the best but on like a jam like this I feel you should spread the prizes out a bit more you know but anyway that's just my faults let's continue cuz in my experience the person that gets all the stuff always feels awkward that they have it everyone else is always a bit annoyed they didn't get anything like I've seen skate competitions where like 12 12y old sorry to pause it again but I've seen skate competitions where like one 12-year-old has won like six boards and no one else has won anything and literally everybody in that competition was like why the hell is he giving all the prizes to one guy so personal experience y tail slide that was Heavy they're doing cash tricks right now yo little nose grind clipp the back wheel but we accept it what we got here go board side chilling crook that guy's good too we haven't see much of him oh my yeah that's Madness on a barer like that B on a barrier like that be to everybody was sick I was there you go at least someone else got the third board that's what I like to see I thought he just had two boards and give them both out to that one guy guy well it's fair enough if one guy gets a couple of prizes but as long as all the good stuff isn't going to one person that's good to me he came outting every day during the focus session so he's going to get one pants yo those are SI last remaining TV star Focus pants and 500 R this is going to go to the MVP and the MVP for Focus 2023 I would totally wear those trous goes [Music] to see another the guy got the prizes again but this is an MVP award so obviously you can't subsidize this one you need to give that to the big boy that's for sure so he's killed it today he's got cash he's got GS he's got a new board and he's got a fresh video part let's go and it's kind of cute that they've dressed up in like shirts and ties and stuff that's cool my hello what's your name your mom too hell yeah guys well that's pretty much it for this video if you
