1 store-bought puff pastry (in the video I use two but I didn't have time to prebake the bottom with baking beans so it wasn't cooked enough so I recommend you leave it out and just put the filling in the oven dish without using pastry as a bottom) 1 onion, minced 1 clove garlic, minced 1 small green cabbage, chopped finely 600g potatoes, peeled and diced 1 tablespoon cumin 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg 200g crème fraîche 1 tablespoon dijon mustard 150g camembert
Boil the potatoes in salted water until cooked. Meanwhile fry the onion and garlic with the cumin for a few minutes in some olive oil. Add the cabbage and the nutmeg stir fry on medium to high heat for about 7 minutes until cooked. Transfer the mixture to an oven dish and mix with the potatoes. Mix the crème fraîche with the mustard and spread over the vegetables. Cut the camembert in slices and put on top. Put the pastry on top, and tuck it in on the sides to make a closed tart. Cut a slit in the centre of the pastry. If you want you can brush the pastry with an egg yolk or milk. Bake for about 20 to 30 minutes at 180 Celsius until golden brown.

bour everyone I hope you're all doing
well I'm coming back with an update on
our pantry build in this video maybe
you've seen the previous videos in which
I started building a shelving unit for
the big storage that I'm creating for
our pantry so I'm continuing putting the
second unit together here while Olaf is
still continuing all of what I would
call the technical things to be done so
our pantry is not just a pantry it is
basically a technical hub for this part
of our house our house is three parts
It's The Old Farmer's house it's the
former Barn which is where we're
creating our kitchen and pantry and it
is the former Stables which we've
already turned into a holiday home now
each of these three parts have a lot of
electricity and plumbing going on
actually each part has its own
electrical I don't know what that's
called where all the fuses are so a hub
I would say and here in the pantry Olaf
needs to create that for this part of
the house but actually when it comes to
Plumbing there's a whole lot going on in
this Pantry because all of the plumbing
for the upstairs bathroom needs to come
through here but also the plumbing for
the future project which we don't know
when we'll start that but the Old
Farmer's house will also have a bathroom
maybe even a kitchen and we need to make
all the preparations for the plumbing
for that it all will run through the
pantry
so I've said this before and I'll say it
again when you're building with a house
like this it's so different from what I
was used to having a house that that's
already finished and you're just
remodeling that is a way smaller task
this includes so much structural work
and so much technical stuff that I find
extremely boring of course cuz I just
want to get to the painting and the
colors and the decor and I will get to
that in this
video
right
these tongue and groove pieces that I'm
using are incredibly War warped so I'm
trying to get the straightest ones first
and keep the Warped ones way for the end
and Olaf's probably going to have to
give me a hand pushing them in and
keeping them straight while I attach
them to the
wood

now that I finished the two shelving
units I want to start painting them now
I am a huge fan of a specific paint
brand it's called Fon ball and I love it
for their very deep and Rich
colors and I know I have a lot left over
because I've used the same color in many
parts of our house already but when I
opened the can of the primer paint I
could tell that you know it's been in
the old part of our house it might have
been a little too cold I last used this
maybe 2 years ago or a year ago so I
wasn't sure if this was still okay
enough and also the IKEA cabinets I also
want to paint them and I just want to
get this job done so while I was at our
local paint store I asked if they could
make this same color which is very
difficult to get that done and I wasn't
sure if it would be the exact same deep
rich beautiful color but I was very
happy to get the paint so I could
continue this
[Music]
project
for
[Music]
for

so I had just enough of the original
paint left to paint a first coat and I'm
going to use the new paint that I bought
that's from a different brand but it's
supposed to be the same color so I'm
sure to get the same color on both the
units that I made and on the kitchen
cabinets that I bought from
[Music]
Ikea

on
[Music]
so if ever you want to paint Ikea
furniture that laminated furniture or a
cabinets what I have learned from this
professionals paint store is you sand it
not too much with 120
grain and then you put a primer on which
is the most important thing then you do
not sand in between the primer coat and
your finishing coats and I put two coats
of this well it was a store for
professional painters so there was no
sanding in between so I was really happy
because I absolutely hate painting and
sanding
I was doing this paint job and I've used
this color a lot it's on our exterior
Woodwork and on our cabinet in the
cottage on the cabinet's doors of the
built-in closet in the cottage and while
I was painting I was kind of questioning
whether it was exactly the same so we'll
do that check with the other parts of
the house or other woodwork that I
painted so here's a little
test that cabinet is is the original f
ball and there is one of my
doors and I have to be honest it is not
the same color it's very similar it's
almost the same but
look you can tell this has more brown
green tones to
it see and this is definitely lighter
and I would call it flat compared to the
original feron ball so what I've learned
about feron ball paint is that they use
way more pigments to create different
pigments to create a color and no other
brand well maybe a little green does
that as well but I mean a normal brand
you would get at the hardware store they
just don't do that and this was using
the code for Fon ball this has way more
depth to me I love the color a lot more
this is just flat that's that's the best
word I could use for it and I've also
held it uh against our exterior woodwork
which is the same color but all that
being said I still love the color I'm
not going to complain this is just for
the pantry and it was also a good test
because I just wanted to check how big
the difference would be and yeah it's
it's bigger than I anticipated to be
honest much
bigger so that's something to consider
when I
start picking colors for the real
kitchen cuz my big kitchen will have
these same doors that I really like
actually CU they have somewhat of a wood
can't really see it in
the can't really see it but I love that
they're not flat like they're not Le
what is that smooth
smooth but I may go for the original f
ball paint now that I've seen
this oh one more thing for those who
would say something like uh but how many
coats is this this is a primer coat and
three coats so I don't think it will
have anything to do with the wood
underneath and also for those who will
say yes but this has been on here for
over 2 years and the color has slightly
changed I have touched
up this area here because the wood was
starting to shrink I don't know if
that's how you say it so this has many
many many touchups all throughout the uh
doors here and with the original Fon
ball paint that I still had and you
don't see that I've touched it up so
that is not cuz I know I have so many
comments about this and and yes just
honor me being a maximizer wanting to
this to be exactly as I imagine and you
know if I wouldn't have any room to be
this picky I probably wouldn't so yeah
and I know that there's also people
watching that with that would do this
the way I do but anyway I still love the
color so I'm not
complaining so now I'll have to wait
until Olaf is done with all the
technical stuff before I can start
putting my unit together
meanwhile I am going on a little trip to
the other side of the natural park
Lov staying at a really beautiful cabin
with friends and going bulant shopping
and I have found so many amazing items
for my kitchen and pantry and that will
be coming up in a next video thank you
so much as always for being here don't
forget to like this video if you've
enjoyed it leave a comment and subscribe
if you haven't already and I will see
