Fishing in muddy water,
is a common phrase that fishermen use to sum up their long-term fishing experience.
It is said that when catching fish in the river,
you must stir the water first,
so that the fish will turn around,
and then take the opportunity to catch it.
But how can you catch fish in muddy water
on a battlefield that changes all the time?
In the early years of the Tang Dynasty,
the Khitan rebelled,
and the general Khotugan negotiated with them.
The Tang army realized the Khitan's plot at a glance,
and sent Wang Hui to the Khitan barracks.
As soon as they arrived at the Khitan barracks,
Khotugan was eager to repay Wang Hui.
In the song and dance,
Wang Hui found that Li Guozhe, who was in charge of military power,
was very respectful to Khotugan,
but in fact, he was not particularly convinced.
Wang Hui understood that this was the best time to stir the muddy water,
how could he miss it?
So Wang Hui took the initiative to talk to Li Guozhe,
but he didn't say bad things about Khotugan to Li Guozhe,
but praised Khotugan's talent in front of Li Guozhe.
With this, Li Guozhe's resentment was completely triggered.
Li Guozhe told Wang Hui,
Khotugan is not as good as it looks,
this peace treaty is fake,
he has already borrowed troops from Tujue,
and is about to attack Youzhou.
After Wang Hui heard this,
he took the opportunity to persuade Li Guozhe,
and promised him that if he made a contribution,
the court would heavily use him.
After successfully stirring the muddy water,
Wang Hui returned to the camp.
As expected, the next day,
Li Guozhe led troops into Khotugan's camp,
and killed him in the camp.
This time, the Khitan army was in chaos,
Wang Hui followed the plan,
led the army into the Khitan camp,
and defeated the Khitan army.
Wang Hui cleverly stirred the muddy water,
causing chaos inside,
so that he could easily attack from the outside.
The success or failure of the war was inevitable.
