It's West Ham United versus AFC Bournemouth here at a packed London Stadium.
The Hammers are looking to close the gap on the two teams immediately above them Villa and Spurs
to five points with a home win but the Cherries are not to be underestimated.
I maybe would have changed that because Will Prowse is such a good crosser of the ball
naturally from that right hand side I maybe would have put him over there but just shuffling it
around with the signing of Phillips and uh just until obviously Paquitale comes back just giving
it a try. Oh Solanke's in and scores! Oh a calamitous error at the back for West Ham United
but the flag is up and those celebrations are cut short. Oh dear they're just wondering who
made that final touch. It comes off Phillips just there it's a goal for the Cherries.
Dominic Solanke has netted his 15th of the season and the away end goes potty.
Yeah I think they've got that right VAR so good decision definitely came off Calvin Phillips
too slow onto the ball playing to playing in dangerous areas you can see Zuma into Calvin
Phillips it's a poor pass but he should be better than that he should be quicker onto it
he does get the touch he's not aware that Solanke is in behind him obviously just toe pokes it back
and he's so close it back straight to Solanke who just puts it in easily. First half goal at home
West Ham have conceded this season. Tavernier's ball in is a good one. Sanessi drives it over
oh they've started this game brilliantly Bournemouth. Scott again put in a real Rolls-Royce
performance in the FA Cup against Swansea absolutely outstanding there's the long range drive
wow great strike from Lewis Cook who's never scored a Premier League goal he started the last
league game didn't he four nils but uh does look like there might be a move on the cards
first meaningful shot for West Ham Phillips desperate to make amends they just uh haven't
had that final ball but West Ham have got to be far quicker again giving it away Solanke
here's a chance for Semenyo brilliant save from Areola another error from West Ham this time they
weren't punished Semenyo with a clear sight of goal and that's a huge important save from Areola
two midfield players taking out the game Solanke sets up Semenyo and he should score really
really should score from that range he's bearing down on goal it's got to go in the corner but
it's a great start from Areola but they should be two ahead at least this is a little bit better
this from West Ham Emerson blocked by Sanessi War Prowse oh what a great ball best cross of the
match for West Ham Christie now giving away Mavropanos takes it on Socek Kudus well that
was a lovely teasing ball but uh no one for the hammers could get it away beautiful from Christie
and here goes Solanke four up here for the cherries Semenyo on the far side he might take
it on here it's deflected just over corner oh what a fabulous break from the cherries
now Ben Johnson Kudus little drop of the shoulder from Kudus he's gone down all eyes on the referee
who says no penalty David Moyes can't believe it well he's clipped him he's got his hand on
his shoulder he's pulling him back in the first place there there's a pullback and he's clipped
him as well with his foot well watch for the referee drawing the tv screen that means he's
going to overturn his decision penalty disappointment for Lloyd Kelly but Kudus
has won the penalty here goes War Prowse 1-1 his fifth goal of the season we're all square
well he should have listened to me he should have stood his ground if he stands his ground
then he saves the penalty Dame's War Prowse has been going down the middle with his penalties
and even from this far away that we are i am sure it's gone straight down the middle there Gary and
the keepers dive past it i just think the goalkeepers now just try and guess rather than
hold your ground there it goes straight down the middle looks like uh Kevin Nolan the first team
coach got a yellow card because of the complaints about the penalty initially not being given
here's Kelly who gave it away Semenyo back to Kelly Areola beats that away behind it goes
by Mavropanos for a corner good play by Bournemouth again and that left hand side Semenyo draws the
defenders in Kelly on the overload Semenyo has got it through to Dom Solanke it was a good challenge
by Alvarez it's an important challenge if you're citing the lunge in those penalty areas you have
to get it spot on good pressing in by Bournemouth good response the game West Ham getting the
equalizer look they press right in again Christie what a lovely touch oh beautiful turn all that
was lacking was the finish but uh Cook has also given it away well seen by Mavropanos
now could us a bit of renewed energy here from Bournemouth that'll certainly be a yellow card
for Christie that's a really cynical trip every day is a school day with you Tony well you did
teach me how to speak Warbrows oh that was into a good area wasn't it Bowen attacked it on this
near side poor performance this from West Ham by their high standards this season and a point
apiece it is maybe disappointment from both managers really Bournemouth in front at half
time and deservedly so West Ham came back in the second half with the James Ward Prowse penalty
but they rarely look like winning the game and for the large part Bournemouth the better team
frustrating debut for Calvin Phillips who was involved in the Solanke goal in just the third
minute the penalty dispatched by Ward Prowse given away by Lloyd Kelly and confirmed by VAR
Arreola certainly will be thanked for his brilliant first half save to deny Semenya so
just as on day one of the season it's finished all square West Ham one Bournemouth one
