welcome to the Arem Channel I have
n't made a video about my
drawing materials for 5 years and the truth is that
I have tried many materials in these years
Yes, too much two years on
YouTube
I guess The fact is that yes among that
pile of things there are some new ones
Some materials that I have been
testing in the last 5 years and that I
can recommend to you, many of them
will be repeated compared to the last video
I made of my drawing materials.
But the good thing is that they are materials that I have not
had to change and they
are simply good. But Well, nothing happens,
it will serve as a reminder and also for
new people on the Channel. So I am going
to show the materials that I
personally use most frequently and I
will also recommend some
slightly cheaper alternatives for
those of you who cannot afford
such materials. expensive So with everything
said, we begin Well, we will start
with colored pencils, I think it is
one of the most conventional materials
that are used And yes, today I have
tried a lot of different brands of pencils
but it is still the
number one for me prismacolor Premier
many people believe that prismacolor
sponsors me but in no way have I been
using them for 10 years and they have not paid me a single
damn Euro And it is true that they are
expensive but the results that we can
obtain with them are truly
excellent They have a creaminess that I
love and the truth is that they last
a long time, they have never disappointed me and
although this brand of pencils is my
default, there are also others that I use,
we have the Carand das Luminas that
are super expensive, but I use these more than anything.
As complementary to the prism
color, you don't need to buy this
set. In fact, I think there are not
enough colors, that is, even though this
set of 76 units is ultra expensive, I think
that 76 units are quite
few for me depending on what drawings. So
simply I use these pencils as
complementary from time to time,
prismacolor and gandas luminant would be at a
professional level but now I am going to
show you some semi-professional intermediate brands
such as the
Castelar pencils and the Faber Castel sersoft,
these two options are much
more economical than the prisma color
have quite similar results And
if I had to choose between
these two I would choose the supersoft ones then
I have had a recent discovery that
for 15 euros you can get the Amazon
basics colored pencils that don't look
bad at all and have a certain creaminess So
the next one The brand that I
would recommend would be this one based on
price and quality. By the way, all the
materials will be below in the
description and then the following ones at the
school level are the ones that paint the best. I think the ones
that I most recommend at the
school level would be the MP colors that for the
I think the price they have is
between 3 to 5 euros for each packet of these
colored ones that you make. How does it feel
when you slide the pencil? The truth
is that it is a pleasure for the price
they have. I highly recommend it. I don't know if
you can. access them depending on the
country you are in So that would be all
in terms of colored pencils, let's
now go with the alcohol-based markers
and if you usually follow my videos
you will have seen that I always
use the ojuju And yes, although
sometimes I have done a promotion with
them, it must be said that the truth is that I do
feel that they are the best quality-
price on the market and that is why I
use them because tell me a brand that is
better than this quality-price, I think there is
none for my current drawings, I
use this one set that has 320 colors and has a
brush tip, it has a
brush tip and a beveled tip, then of course we
could also use Well, the copics,
which are very good here, would be a
little better quality than the ojuju ones,
but not crazy either. like these in
relation to the ojuju because they cost about
three or four times the price per
unit for that reason I use the
ojuju. Although from time to time I
need one I use it as a
complement now we move on to the
acrylic markers that The
acrylic markers are these Posca type. I
almost always use the Posca brand, I think
they are by far the
best on the market. This means
that if, for example, I wanted to paint
here in the closet, I could do it
perfectly and the color would look great.
opac but it turns out that there is another brand of
acrylic marker type that is cheaper
and works exactly the same. These are
the arctix brand acrylic markers.
Well yes. These are exactly
the same as the cheaper posca ones and the
truth is that they work practically
the same even covering already I'm telling you, I've
tried many brands of this type and they
all seem very watery, they look
bad, I don't know, they never convince me, but the
truth is that this Arctic one really
surprised me, I was very pleasantly surprised to try it
instead of the Poscas because it really
won't disappoint you. As for brands of
acrylic paint, I have been using these bottles
for many years and the truth
is that there is no problem. The brands of
acrylic that I usually use to
make all my paintings are these two,
which are Titan and Amsterdam. This
is simply to clarify it
quickly because I always see people
asking me what acrylic paints I use
because those are those bottles and at a
slightly more intermediate level since those
bottles that I have shown you from Amsterdam and
Titan are a bit expensive, you can use
these acrylic bottles from Arctic MP that you
will normally find in
any art showcase and to
start painting in acrylic You are going to be
more than enough with those now we move on
to watercolors And although I
have not done many watercolor paintings I
have tried some of them a
few brands and well as
default watercolors today I am
using these ones that are from the esm brand, they
are very expensive But they are most likely
the best brand of watercolors in the world, it
is not necessary I painted with these watercolors
Just that Well, since I dedicate myself to
this Well, I buy the best ones
The materials that I can are an absolute
hoot. I think that this little package of 24
godets cost me something like 130 but they
are undoubtedly also of very good
quality and I have been using them for
many years. The winsor Newtons in this
set You get a lot more pickups and they
don't I remember very well how much this one cost me
but I think I bought it for
about 60 or something like that. Don't pay too much
attention to me with the prices. I'll leave the links
in the description and well, I've tried
other brands of watercolor but I didn't
like them that much. Yes. If I had to
recommend some of them,
I would recommend smink and Winson and Newton and
now we move on to the
black eyeliner sector to make
the outlines of the anime drawings. And
I am very sure that some
of you will think that I was going to
recommend the pigma micron these
eyeliners that were so famous for
years but after trying them for
many years I can tell you that they are
absolute garbage, do not buy them, the
ink of this brand wears out very quickly,
they dry in no time in the blink of an
eye apart from Sometimes it is difficult for the
ink to run well and it becomes
quite discolored. So the best thing is that you spend
a little more money and buy
this type of copic multiliner. These are
truly a joy, a wonder,
the ink lasts a long time and I don't know. I'm sorry. of
very good quality, they dry
quickly, they perfectly resist
alcohol-based markers, but if you want a
much cheaper recommendation and I was
honestly surprised by how
good they are and how cheap at the same
time, I can recommend these
eyeliners from the top brand That's what they're called, I bought them
When I made that video
trying a bunch of eyeliners from
Aliexpress and Wow, how cheap it is,
the truth is that it responds incredibly
well to everything you put on top of it,
its line is good, it dries well, it resists
Even if you put it on top
Prismacolor, that is, it has everything, it is all-
terrain, its pigment is quite good and it
is cheap, so I really recommend
it, I will leave it in the description. We also
move on now to the type of paper that
I use to draw for everything that
is realism, anime, colored pencil,
etc. I use this Bristol strathmore,
this drawing pad is a little expensive to be
honest because it only comes with 20 sheets and
costs about 25 but they are quality sheets
with a weight of 270. That means
that they are quite thick, like more than
cardboard and for realism and
hyperrealism It works very well This hemle
nostalgic is 190 grammage and
50 sheets come here, there is also about
23 to 25 there, I think for
watercolor papers it will be fine. Any
watercolor pad from the Winson and Newton brand
never fails, any watercolor pad
from the brand are top quality although they are
extremely expensive if you don't have a lot of
money you should go for a winson and
newton block or this one from canson
Dina 3 coloring paper has
a weight of 250 and comes with 50 sheets.
I have always done quite well with
any type of alcohol-based markers.
Although this year I want to try some
new blocks of markers, it
is literally the only one that works well for me, so I'll just
give you To recommend this one, we move on to the
pencil sharpeners. In particular, I always
use an electric pencil sharpener when
I am making a well-prepared drawing.
So this one from Amazon basics that I tried
very recently is very
good. I have literally had quite a few electric pencil sharpeners and well, they all work well. Only in the end After a few
years what is the edge becomes a little dull
and they stop sharpening
too or the motor simply breaks down.
The thing is that I do
recommend that you get an
electric pencil sharpener. In terms of rubber,
very simple, I use the Milan rubbers have been
around forever, so there is no
mystery to this. I really think it is the
best rubber that exists. But when it comes to
moldable rubbers, be very careful because not just
any rubber will do. Here I am going to be
clear and concise if you want one. good
moldable rubber has to be from the
faber brand Castel, this one here I have tried a
lot of different brands of
moldable rubber and the truth is, almost all of them are
garbage, they are kind of sticky, I don't know,
horrible, the only one that is really good
is this one, the faber brand caster and it
really seems to me to be an essential
eraser and to make white highlights or details
in the endings of our
drawings because I use fine
white pens like these I don't like
using white ink gel pens so much anymore because I do
n't know it doesn't come out very
well the ink and that stresses me out So there
are also these others that you can
get in any Chinese store that
have these fine tips too and well
these are not as high quality as the
poscas but they can also be used
to make those white sparkles So
friends and Friends, that in
general terms would be all the materials that
I use frequently. If you
have any questions about any material
that I use, leave it in the comments and
I will try to answer it. We will see. How many
years will pass until I update
again all the materials that
I use, but I think it will stay
quite established like this. Remember that
all the materials that I have mentioned
in this video are below in the
description and posted comment, so
good. I hope this video has been of
help to you. Thank you
for watching, always keep drawing. and we
will see you very soon in the next video
