This is what we do. This is what we do!
Arsenal 3, Liverpool 1, 4 goal thriller ends with us with 3 points and taking 4 points off them Liverpoolians.
First things first, banter aside, credit to Liverpool, massive club, generational manager,
nothing but filled with praise for their players, what they've achieved in football, what they've done.
Me, where Arsenal's concerned, I'm effing over the moon.
Now, I don't know if Arsenal are going to win a major trophy or do anything, but isolated to today,
I'm happy that we've beaten City and Liverpool at the Emirates.
The next step is when we beat teams, us fans, like Liverpool and City, us fans,
we're not as optimistic or as crazy because we've been doing this.
And the next step is actually to win games like this at the Etihad or at Anfield.
But isolated to today, nothing but praise.
Again, first things first, games like against Liverpool, they're a massive club.
They're a big team.
It's about just getting it done.
It's not about individuals.
It's about the team and we did enough.
You know, we always talk about football is decided in both boxes.
We defended better.
We scored better.
Martinelli, Trosser, Bakayo Saka, big up yourself.
There were half chances we could have done a lot better.
Kai Havertz, Jorginho, big performances.
Saliba, I think he was moving a bit mad for the goal.
Gabriel had a boss of a performance today.
Unfortunately, their own goal is marked against his name, but I think we were brilliant.
I think it was almost like the FA Cup game.
We started well.
We looked to go man for a man.
We pressed with intensity.
We smelt blood.
It's nice to see we scored the first goal.
I think when we did score the first goal, we absolutely deserved that.
And I'm proud of my boys today.
I'm proud of my boys.
They reacted when we went 1-1.
Saliba, Raya moving mad.
I'm not blaming Raya personally.
I think it's a bit of both really because Saliba's looking for the keeper.
Raya's looking for him.
Saliba, you're a big dog.
You're a serious centre-back.
As much as you're gracious on the ball and things, sometimes I feel, pardon me, just get rid.
I think Saliba needed to get rid.
But other than that, I think the manager got his foot on big up Trosser for his goal.
It gave us some breathing room.
I think we did what we needed to do.
Shout out to Martinelli and Saka.
Those of you that watch my watch along, you would have heard me say, you know,
them two need to be up at it today really.
And I think you have to give credit to everyone.
I think Benjamin White, big performance today.
It will go under the radar, but Benjamin White, big performance.
Listen to me, people.
Big performance today from Benjamin White.
Declan Rice, big performance.
Jorginho, big performance.
Odegaard, here and there, did your thing.
Kai Havertz, big performance.
Saka and Martinelli made the difference.
But it's a team game.
We did what we needed to do.
Of course, on another day, I don't want to see a goal conceded, much less how we did.
But I think we deserve to win three points, to get three points today and win the game.
I think we went man for a man.
We did our job.
I can't accuse any single player of not leaving it all out there or not turning up.
We reacted to the setback of conceding.
I do feel we need to be a lot more clinical, but I think we aren't taking the lead.
I am a bit disappointed when we conceded the equaliser, obviously on the verge of half-time.
These are things that need to go for us.
These are things that harm us.
You know, in my opinion, Arsenal, we self-capitulate at times.
We make things harder than it needs to be.
But at the end of the day, we found two goals to make a difference.
And I won't go as far as to say we've turned our form around because we need to keep going.
But considering how December was, to know we've beaten Crystal Palace,
beaten Nottingham Forest and taken three points against Liverpool,
taken nine points, that's a great way to start the month.
And a fantastic performance.
We can't get excited, but we go again.
Credit to Liverpool, as I said.
But we took advantage.
You know, Martinelli's always on it against Liverpool.
You know, Van Dijk, Alisson moving a bit mad.
I think Kanawha had a good game, but he's moving a bit mad.
There's nothing but praise.
I feel the first 20 minutes were very impressive of us, but I felt we needed to score.
I think we deserved our goal when we bagged.
Other than that, you know, the only criticism I have is conceding unnecessarily.
Other than that, we were superb.
Man to a man.
It's a collective job today.
I can't accuse a single player of not standing up to be counted.
You know, I was a bit nervous when Zinchenko got subbed,
because that tells me there's an injury.
But big up Kyrgios.
Obviously a bit nervous that Jesus isn't involved in the squad in any capacity.
But Kai Havertz ran his socks off.
Boss of a performance.
Martinelli stood up to be counted.
Saka stood up to be counted.
Martin Odegaard for the involvement in the first.
Jorginho, boss of a performance.
Declan Rice in particular.
And Benjamin White.
I think your performance or your praise for your performance is going to be lost.
Big performance.
David Rath, don't think you put a foot wrong today.
You and Salih were moving a bit mad for the goal.
Maybe we could have arrested that.
But you need to turn.
Liverpool are a massive club.
Liverpool are a big team.
Liverpool are a scary team.
You need to stand up today.
And I think we did everything.
Like, there's no reason to waffle.
I think we did everything.
I'm very proud of my players and they deserve their three points today.
We need to go on and put a performance in against,
I believe we've got West Ham who are playing Man United.
We lost to Man United.
But I'm full of praise.
And another day, I think there was a couple of half chances.
You know, Saka with the header.
You know, I think Havertz had an effort as well.
Even the goal we scored.
Havertz, you're quite fortunate Saka put the goal in the back of the net
because you was moving a bit mad.
On another day, I think our half chances we could have taken a bit better.
I think Saliba and Raya, more so.
Saliba could have done better.
On another day, I think the defender.
I think how we started the second half.
I'll be real.
Even though we scored two goals and big up Trosser.
I'll be real.
Second half, I wasn't happy.
First half, I was happy with the 45 minutes.
But the goal we've conceded.
Second half, I think we were slow.
It was a bit second best.
It was creeping into old habits.
But as you know, I'd say probably 15, 20 minutes into the second half,
we started playing.
We started showing quality.
We started doing what we needed to do.
End of the day, we won the game, innit?
So I'm happy.
It doesn't matter how you do it.
As I said, it's a day for the collective rather than individuals.
It's a big three points.
And I don't think we're winning the league or the Premier League or the Champions League.
But to know you've taken points off the biggest and baddest in City and Liverpool.
Fair enough, it is at the Emirates.
But that's a step in the direction.
That is a six-pointer.
You know, had we have lost this, even though we've won it.
As I said, I don't think we're winning the Premier League title.
But had we have lost this, I don't think we should say,
oh, sorry, fading the mic.
Arsenal are out of it and all of these things.
In the same way that we've won, we've got three points.
I don't think we should get excited.
We should enjoy today.
But we keep working.
It's a step in the right direction.
And it's, you know, I feel personally where the big games are concerned with Arsenal.
Yeah, we've beaten Man United, City and Liverpool at the Emirates.
But when you throw in the games we played against Spurs, Chelsea and a couple of bigger
games, if not necessarily the team stature in general, I don't think we've done what
we needed to do.
It's a step in the direction.
And I think today showed we can be our best friends or our worst enemies.
You know, when you defend like how we defended for the first goal and just everything in
between that and positives, that just shows you, before we talk about the opposition,
we defeat ourselves or make it easier for ourselves.
It's a big game, man.
It's a game where I needed everyone to stand up to be counted.
And there's not a single starting XI player or the boys that came off the bench that I
can accuse of not standing up to be counted today.
I think they bossed it today.
I think they did their thing.
So big up to all of them, in particular people.
So, yeah, four-goal thriller.
We got three points.
We start February in the same way we ended January in that we won the games.
Big up to Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp because you owed us this, innit?
They've been battering us at the Emirates since Klopp has returned.
Well, I say returned.
Turned up at the Emirates on behalf of being Liverpool manager.
So I'm happy we got three points.
There are a lot of things we could have done better.
There's a lot of things we did great.
We enjoyed today and we move forward.
It's a big month for football.
We've got West Ham.
We've got hella tough games.
We've got the Champions League to come into fray.
So it is what it is.
Big up Mikel Arteta and the players because I think everything was spot on.
I don't know who's manager, man.
Me, I don't know.
I think Sacra and Martinelli did very well.
I think Kai Havertz were very quick to say you've not turned up.
I think you bust it.
I think Gabriel bust it.
I think Zinchenko, you stood up to be counted.
I think Benjamin White and Declan Rice in particular,
they're not going to get their praise for how they played today.
Absolutely bust it.
I think Raya can count himself unlucky for conceding.
There's not a single player that came off that bench or started that game
that obviously I could ask for a bit better in certain aspects,
but I couldn't have accused of standing up to be counted.
I think every player relished the individual battles and the collective battle.
So I'm happy with the boys.
We enjoyed today and we go on.
What a way to start the month.
Let's keep it moving.
To know we can beat Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola in a season is great.
Let's keep moving.
And I still think Liverpool and City are the top dons.
Liverpool have only lost two games,
but if we can win six pointers like today,
handle our business,
whatever becomes talking points becomes talking points.
So I'm proud of my boys.
There's nothing more to say really.
