People deluded I'm back again.
Now I don't know about you my fellow Arsenal fans but I could get used to this.
Arsenal 5, Burnley 0, Burnley 0, Arsenal 5 and the amount of goals we've scored in the last few games.
The revitalisation of Arsenal Football Club since the turn of the year, since we've returned from Dubai continues.
15 points from 15. I have to praise the players.
The problem is now we need to keep going but we've been handling our business.
Liverpool won this weekend. I'm sure you all have seen Manchester City drop points against Chelsea.
It doesn't mean that we're going to do anything but to have any chance we need to keep winning games and keep this run going.
At least until the 31st of March where we've got City.
Now we can't count our chickens before they hatch.
We've been in a fantastic run. We enjoyed tonight.
Tomorrow we begin to work to Porto in the Champions League and obviously Newcastle at home.
I loved beating Burnley for a variety of reasons. Respectfully to Burnley, their form's been terrible.
This hasn't been a game where they've got points so we're winning the games we need to.
We kept the run continued. We kept a clean sheet. The goals are being shared out.
Martinelli got an assist but it would have been lovely for him to get on the score sheet.
Clinical Kai, Odegaard the magician, Saka showing how pivotal he is.
Curiel getting another encouraging bits and pieces and big up Tim for the throw-in in the lead-up to Kai Havertz.
Kai Havertz, I think you should just shoot with your right foot to be honest with you.
To see Kai Havertz not making man and finishing like that, I think that's what he needs to do.
On a serious note, happy. We turned up to Burnley. We got the three points. We go home.
What I liked about that game for me, it felt like we didn't have to exert too much pressure.
Too much energy if that makes sense. We were probably in second gear.
Cruise control was in autopilot. Initially you saw how Burnley was set up.
It was a rigid 4-4-2 for a team that's respectfully to Burnley.
Gone a long way from the Sean Dice connotations of Burnley.
They were just going long. They tried to get change out of Benjamin White.
It did a bang. Curiel did well.
When we started the game, we kind of had to wait for the game to settle and for us to string passes.
I think Saliba looked a bit mad. He was a bit mad with his passing initially,
but it's always lovely to score an early goal.
Some of you that were part of my watch along, I said we were going to score early within the first ten
and we're going to get a second goal just before the end of half-time.
Before the start of half-time, apologies.
We did that and obviously in the second half we added the goals.
As I said, Raya did well. I think Raya had one significant save.
Raya's passing was great. The goals and the enthusiasm and all that stuff continues.
Lovely play from Declan Rice to obviously find Martinelli and Martinelli to lay off Odegaard.
Odegaard, just before scoring, his first touch was kind of booky, a bit like Saliba's,
but he set himself, he scored and what a wonderful player Odegaard is,
conducting things in the middle of the park.
Obviously, the build-up play to the penalty was absolutely amazing.
Happy Trossach scored because I did feel at a point it weren't going to be Trossach's day in front of goal
because he weren't normally at his best.
He weren't terrible, but it weren't the Trossach that we've seen.
But he got on the score sheet.
But yeah, Trossach's brought down. We scored a penalty. Big up Bakayo.
Sakri's doing what he needs to do.
And at that point, you know, the first half, we're just controlling proceedings.
We're being street smart. We're not leaving space.
We're moving the ball around.
We know that that early goal means at some point Burnley are going to have to come on to us
and there's going to be space.
We know both teams need the three points,
but Burnley are fighting for survival and Arsenal are in a privileged position
in that we're allegedly fighting for the league.
I don't look at the league table.
So it was lovely to get the two goals.
Going into the second half, as you lot know, at halftime,
2-0 is a good scoreline for us considering the game.
But in general, it's a bit of a weird scoreline because away from home,
you can see one that fires up the fans.
They're doing what they're doing.
So it was lovely to obviously get the third, get the fourth, get the fifth.
I'm not even going to sit here and lie, bro.
I can't even remember who was getting these goals really and truly.
What? Odegaard got on the score sheet. Sakri got on the score sheet.
Did Trossart get on the score sheet after that?
Admittedly, people, we're scoring so many goals in recent weeks,
it's hard to keep up.
But it was obviously lovely to get the third and the fourth.
It's obviously lovely to smell blood and go in for the kill again.
It's lovely to obviously, you know, pattern up the goal difference where we can.
Again, clean sheet. These things breed confidence individually and collectively.
There's many reasons to be happy with Arsenal Football Club.
I do think we're in that territory where we need to control the controllables.
That's ultimately taking maximum points when we can.
And with this form, we should believe we can.
What happens is another thing.
But we still need a bit of fortune, probably with Liverpool and City to drop points.
So I love the fact that we look a bit more cerebral.
We look a lot more confident in front of goal.
And everybody's shining really and truly, if I'm honest.
And it's lovely that in the last two weeks, it's been lovely for Sakri to get his hat trick.
But it's lovely that Sakri and Declaris in particular, and even indirectly Benjamin White,
were able to take them off and rest them a little bit.
Because the game didn't require us to be, not at our maximum,
because that's not fair, because I do think we were spot on.
But it weren't a game where, you know, it's a crazy game.
We need a last-minute equaliser.
You know, the team's come back.
It's a dramatic game.
It takes a lot of energy levels out of you where, you know, it's a techy time.
You know, we travelled up to Burnley.
Obviously, it takes 48 hours or so to recover from a football game.
And there's a quick turnaround, because Wednesday, we go to Porto.
And these are the things, the issues.
You know, it's nice to see Smith Rowe as well.
The only thing I would say that were the issues with that game is,
obviously, you know, apart from Smith Rowe, there's still no Tommy Ass,
Susan Chenko or Gabriel Jesus to call upon.
You definitely want to be able to utilise them in some capacity
against Newcastle and against Porto, really.
Sorry, Saka got his second.
What a good strike that was for the third goal.
So, yeah, it's lovely that Trossart continues his rich run of form.
It's lovely that Havertz has been able to get something.
Would have loved Martinelli to score, but it weren't his day in that regard.
Weren't too impressed by Reece Nelson and Eddie Nketiah, if I'm honest,
when they came on.
I think Cedric looked a lot better than them.
But it's lovely that players individually are getting on the score sheet.
Collectively, we're scoring goals.
We're looking a lot more confident and fluid in our play and also in front of goal.
So, yeah, we're just doing what we're doing.
Big up Kirio as well for his involvement for Havertz's goal,
because Kirio's been involved in about three goals in three games now.
You know, he got an assist for Trossart's goal against Liverpool.
He had to win the header.
It's not really an assist for the West Ham one,
but he earned a corner, what led to a goal and us exploiting set pieces.
You know, we didn't score from a set piece today, which is a rarity.
And obviously, quick thinking between him and Havertz.
Terrible defending from Burnley, but I don't care about that.
Havertz, that's probably the best goal you scored in an Arsenal shirt already, really.
Not making man and then finishing it rivers right peg.
You know, I have to give credit to Burnley.
I think they tried to play football and then second half,
they saw that if you want to play football against us,
you know, you're going to get annihilated, essentially, people.
So, it's not making sense.
And obviously, naturally, which is a positive,
is that we could have scored more goals.
I think I definitely wanted six and seven.
And I wish we could play like this.
And this was the result every week.
At halftime, we had four shots, two on target, people.
Burnley had two shots, none on target.
So, it was straightforward in that regard.
Come the end of the game, we had 16 shots,
seven on target and five goals for that.
So, we're being a lot more ruthless and clean up.
Big up Benjamin White.
You know, Saka as well, but Benjamin White and Saka,
they went back to basics with their hair,
especially Saka, and he's back to being the star boy.
You do the Rashford hair, you start putting in Rashford performances.
We had six corners.
Obviously, we didn't score from that.
But when it comes to corners, Burnley had four, we had six.
That's the only place they can kind of match us.
So, all we can do is control the variables that we can control.
I think this result leaves us second on 55 points.
It patterns up the goal difference.
In fact, our goal difference, looking at it,
is better than City's at this moment in time.
And actually, Liverpool's, we've got 36,
Liverpool got 35, City got 31.
But, you know, Liverpool got Mo Salah, City have Haaland.
We don't really have that.
So, any sort of margin we can get, we can get.
And obviously, you know, you start to change the narrative
when you start to play well.
A week is a long time in football,
and we all know how December going into January was how it worked.
So, if we've had five games in what?
Palace, Nottingham Forest, Liverpool, West Ham,
and obviously today against Burnley, and you win games.
I'm not saying we're going to win the league or anything,
but it changes the narrative in the same way.
When it's all going wrong, it can be a bit of a toxic place to a degree.
So, we just need to keep going, really.
I'm happy for the collective performance.
I'm happy for the individuals that shun whether they've got goals or assists.
You know, the squad is being tested.
As Arteta said, we do have one of the thinnest squads,
and we are kind of at our breaking point, potentially, with injuries.
And that's something that needs to be arrested in the summer
because we've seen this too long.
But, isolated to the Burnley game, you know,
these are the games you have to win.
If we can keep winning the games we need to win,
keep being competitive against the top six,
where we're still traditional top six.
We still got to go to Spurs and Chelsea,
where we shot ourselves in the foot in the games
we played against them already.
You've got the big one against City.
We've got Newcastle and Brentford coming up.
If we just keep this form going,
obviously, it's not as white and black as that.
We have quite a chance of maybe being able to exploit
any poor runs of form with Liverpool and City.
Now, I don't wish injury on anyone,
but every time you type in Liverpool,
they're getting a lot of injuries.
And, obviously, they're still in a lot of competitions.
That's going to take their squad to the brim.
Hopefully, that can correlate with dropping points.
City dropped points today against Chelsea.
You're not going to say that too many times.
So, if we can take maximum points,
which we are in a territory where we need a bit of fortune
with people dropping points,
then we can be at the first in the queue
to maybe pick someone to the league.
As I said, I don't think we're winning the Prem title,
but I don't want the players to believe that.
And this is all we've got to play for, really.
Obviously, you've got the Champions League.
So, the focus shifts to Porto.
We need to give ourselves a great platform
against Porto, obviously, in the first leg
and take that to the Emirates.
And it's a big week.
You've got Newcastle and Porto.
Again, we enjoyed today.
Come Sunday, Monday,
it's irrelevant what we've done in the last five games.
We need to keep going.
And my challenge to the boys,
I wouldn't say it's impossible,
but it feels impossible
because that's just how football goes.
We need to quote-unquote take maximum points
or not drop too many points going into the City game.
I actually feel we need to win all our games
going into the City game.
Give or take, things can happen.
I'd say the luxury is, you know,
we've played a lot of big games
or gone to tough grounds,
but there's still many bumps and bruises
and twists on the road.
But today, Arteta got his foot on.
The players got their foot on.
We shined individually and collectively.
I'm a happy bunny,
and I hope you all are as well.
It's been a great two weeks in particular
against West Ham and Burnley teams in Claret
and Blues probably shouldn't play against us people
really and truly.
So yeah, man, that's all I've got to say.
Don't forget to subscribe, comment, like, subscribe.
Let me know your thoughts.
Who's man of the match?
Me personally, Saka got a brace.
I can't look beyond that.
I feel I'll give it to Odegaard for today.
I feel Benjamin White was good today,
if I'm honest with you,
but everybody was good.
So yeah, let me know your thoughts
on who would be man of the match,
how you felt the game was.
And I just, in a nice way, like,
it weren't a game where we were at our maximum,
but we weren't.
Like, we just did the job,
did what we needed to do,
and we just enjoyed a great day out,
really and truly.
It was raining goals as it was raining,
as you lot could see on TV
or being at the ground.
So that's all my thoughts in relation to the game.
If you haven't hit the like button,
commented or subscribed already,
then you know exactly what to do.
Appreciative of you lot listening
to my five pence on the game.
So yeah, peace.
I didn't get them.
