MSC Cruises Private Island Ocean Cay: Highlights

we're here on msc's Private Island it's called ocean K I had the look I forgot it's a cute little island it's like a Marine reserve Sanctuary you can actually donate to a cup preserve sea animals and foliage around here let's take a look around it's a really nice Island right the question we get all the time is it free to go to Ocean K absolutely all the private islands are free unless you want to do extra stuff which we'll show you a little later in the video some beautiful foliage here here's the water sports area again this is an extra fee and you have to book that on the ship I didn't see many people do it it was kind of a like kind of a cast day it was really weird it's not usually like that here but you get that once in a while and uh here's the first bar you're gonna walk up to it's going to be straight ahead and on your right but don't go here because it's always busy and crowded you can get a nine dollar ice cream if you want yeah I passed get back on the ship for that dude they do have shuttle service to various parts of the island including the yacht club but we didn't take that uh the first thing you'll see you'll come up to this big it's like a Cove like a bay and it is one of the most beautiful little beaches I've ever seen on any Island on any Cruise we've ever been on it's just gorgeous but uh we want to show it to you this is a previous visit on a sunny day and it looks so much more Vivid and Beautiful on a sunny day this was uh several months ago we came on a different MSC ship but it is a gorgeous little and this is really all you need plenty of chairs here the chairs are free to use they do give you towels off the ship and you can bring those down here you don't need to reserve them there's plenty of seats out here the sand is beautiful the water is gorgeous there's little fish swimming around your toes no they won't eat your toes I saw some woman out there thinking she was gonna get pedicure but that doesn't happen here and if you go a little bit further out you see even the bigger fish too they don't bite don't worry about it there's no piranhas or sharks or anything I think there's a net on here outside and you walk a little bit further down the island and you will see the lighthouse with some stunning views of the ship and some really interesting photo opportunities which we always take all right get away from that and uh there is this area here that has these Flat Rocks and I've seen people build these Rock sculptures before and they were none there when I do so I took the liberty of just making one and some little boogie picker probably knocked it down so you can walk out to the lighthouse and behind the lighthouse there is actually a little restaurant and it is um the drinks are included in your drink package if you want food here you have to pay extra for that there's just a bunch of old people sitting here telling lies you know what they do and uh we had to get out of here it seemed really boring it was bringing me down but you can actually tour the lighthouse again you have to book this in advance I think it was twelve dollars but I could I may be mistaken it's a lot of stairs no there is no elevator or escalator and um but once you do it if you can do it there are some stunning views of this island and all this stuff all the equipment up here they use for their light show at night which we'll show you beautiful photo opportunities unbelievable views of the island if you can make the climb all right after this we decided to uh let's check out the lunch fair and uh this was mistake number one it wasn't terrible all kinds of different salads including something called rice salad which kind of scared me and uh they do have like ribs and fruit and uh it's interesting they started with brownies before you went to your entree I guess that's what they do in Europe I don't know the burgers were okay the hot dogs are boiled a lot of people were upset about that they wanted their hot dogs grilled whatever all right here's Yacht Club this is our previous visit to Yacht Club and they have their own little food area and bar out here and I have to tell you I think the service was just as good in the main area as a matter of fact we were on the beach trying to get drinks in the yacht club in our prior visit and we couldn't even get anybody's attention on the beach they were serving this other couple who wasn't even tipping them and I had a 20 in my hand and some dummy missed out on that morons so uh it may be different when you visit but it's a nice covered little area here in isolated seating now the beach looks nice it's got their own little Yacht Club a beach but if you look closer on our visit there were rocks all over the beach and it made it really difficult to walk really uncomfortable so the other Beach the bay the free one it seemed much better you're gonna catch some beautiful sunsets and then night time will roll around what's really neat is the boat stays parked at the island yeah I call it a boat when it gets dark and there's a reason for that they have a light show at the Lighthouse and they have this little beach party and there's little fire things there and a bunch of kids are dancing to you terrible music and um but you can find yourself a little seat there and watch the light show I sped it up for you it's kind of boring it's like two or three minutes and it shoots lights all over the sky blah blah blah but it's kind of neat because no other island has this I guess it's their substitute for fireworks but uh pretty neat to see they've done an adequate job I used to do some light programming back in the day and I could have man you see what I could do with this thing but um they weren't interested in that so uh this is what you got got a little birdie flying around some stars and blah blah blah blah blah it's interesting it's kind of nice to see if you have a nice beverage in your hand no other Island does this on a lighthouse so that is pretty cool and this was probably the most interesting thing I saw on the island it is a fun place but my recommendation for lunch time go back on the ship there'll be nobody there and you have the pools or restaurants to yourself and probably better food Tim Cruz hit the like And subscribe love you
