because the squad is now fit and ready.
I can't lie, I asked you lot this last time,
but with how we're doing in the league
and obviously all to do in Porto,
then are we more likely to win the Premier League
or the Champions League?
Like, if you had to bet your life savings on either one,
which one are you lot leaning to?
I'm probably going to say,
ooh, I don't know, you know,
because Champions League,
sometimes I think we're more of a cup side.
I'll probably lean towards Premier League
for me personally, recency bias included.
What's your reason for that?
I just think you've got more chance of that, innit?
I just think, I think we're a good cup side.
I think on our day, we can give everyone a game
and I know I'm going to sound like a hypocrite
because we've all just been waffling
about how there's no margin for error
and all of this stuff in the Premier League.
But compared to the champs,
I feel there is more margin for error.
You know, if Liverpool and City drop points,
it is what it is.
In the Champions League,
it's have it in or out and we've got it all to do.
And I know we're not Real Madrid
and I'm not dissing Real Madrid,
but when you look at the last couple of times
they've won the Champions League,
not to say Carlo ain't got great tactics and that,
but they haven't been the best team for 90 minutes.
Carlo's just done that.
Vinicius has done Brazilian things
and they've just kept it moving.
So, do we have that Stardust?
Not to diss Saka,
because he's a star boy,
Martinelli, Jesus, all these guys,
but is it to them lot's level?
I don't know.
And it just feels like-
You know who our Stardust is?
It's not a player.
It's set pieces.
That is our Erling Karlen.
That is our Mo Salah.
That as well.
Yeah, exactly.
It sounds crazy, right?
I think we've got a better chance
of winning the Champions League
than we've won-
I agree.
Do you know why?
I think, do you know what the problem is, right?
And this is going to come,
other than it's a very few times, right?
Teams have been able to do more
than the Champions League.
Every time Ramundrid win it,
they don't win the league.
They don't win the cup of the race.
So if, right, we were to say,
put all your eggs into that basket
and go for it,
I think this team wins the Champions League.
The way we played-
But the problem with that is though,
you kind of got to give the league up.
And I mean, just go for a top four battle,
let the road take that side out.
Like, a lot of the misconceptions, right?
When Ramundrid won it for three times in a row,
they actually gave every single cup up.
They just went for the Champions League.
They didn't go for the league.
They didn't go for the cup.
They were out of the cup
and out in the first round.
By the way, they've done it in a dodgy way.
They actually played a suspended player
and got themselves disqualified.
And yeah, they played some Russian player.
I've forgotten his name now.
But that's the one.
And that's the way you win it.
But if we fully focus on the Champions League
and say, you know what,
I've won all the other things.
We'll go for top four
just so we can get back into it.
And we did it that way.
I reckon we win the Champions League easier
than if we just focus on the league.
Ashu, where are you at?
Yeah, go on.
Oh, Buffy, man.
You take the floor, man.
Yeah, no, I think that I saw enough in Europe
away to Porto to know
that we're probably a couple years away
from competing seriously in the Champions League.
I think that the issue that we've got
is our best players,
they're not mature enough.
So I think if you look even in that Porto game,
Martinelli done some nonsense
and we conceded, we lost the ball
and they scored and we lost the game.
And I just think that in the Champions League,
I think you need experience.
I think that's why teams like Real Madrid or Chelsea
can kind of have an average team,
but they've got the players
that have got that know-how
in order to see out a game,
in order to kill off a game.
Yeah, in order to just get it done.
And I think that the problem
that we've got at the moment
is our best players don't have that experience
and you can't buy that.
That just comes with years and time.
So I personally think that
we've got enough to win the Premier League,
but I think the Champions League
is just this different gravy, man.
You hear the music,
you hear the foreign fans,
your legs start going jelly.
You don't want to commit to a tackle.
You don't want to pass the ball.
The fans are chanting in the next language.
It's a whole different ball game.
It's a different ball game for real.
You're right.
It's a whole different ball game.
So yeah, I'm going to go for the Premier League,
in my opinion.
T?
I hear you with what you're saying there, Ash.
We've, in terms of the experience,
and that's what we lack right now,
being in this,
in that premium competition in a tournament.
However, we are,
there is more margin for error
within the Champions League
than there is in the Premier League right now.
I know you have, what, 10 games or so.
You can win the Champions.
We could win the Champions League,
winning technically one more game,
as long as we beat Porto.
And then we could draw the rest our way into that,
or, you know, or win,
or we can still lose
and we still have that manageable tie.
Like, for example, Porto,
I mean, in the round of 16,
when the last time Real Madrid won the Champions League,
they lost that first leg
and they should have got beaten by more
against PSG when Kylian Mbappe scored
in the last minute in that game.
And it's quite similar to Galeno with that.
And PSG were the better team away from home
at the Bernabeu too,
but then in that moment
where they were able to capitalise,
and that's what I've seen.
And that, to Ash and DG,
that's what we have seen.
When Arsenal haven't performed at their best this season,
we've been still been able to score late winners
in big games and late goals.
Luton, we're not performing at our best,
winning late.
We say Luton's a big game with the greatest of respect.
And now we're saying Brentford.
Manchester United.
I'm being devil's advocate.
Manchester United.
City, yeah.
Yeah, there you go.
City, there's one.
Liverpool, we're able to win
and take those big moments there.
I just think my main reason
in terms of the Champions League
tends to be the best defences
get far in the Champions League and win.
Chelsea, in times that they won it,
they built Thomas Tuchel,
built that team up a solid defence
and scored too many goals,
but were able to keep games close and tight
and then nick it with a little bit of luck.
I think of Inter Milan.
Even getting into as far as they did.
Not conceding too many.
Yeah, and that campaign.
Yeah, and probably quite unfortunate
to lose in the final in the end.
Slightly, yeah.
The chances that they created
and limited Manchester City.
Our defence is perfectly primed and set up for that.
So we don't concede many chances
and that's important in this competition.
You can score plenty of goals.
You don't really see teams in tournament competitions,
whether it's in the Champions League,
whether it's in international sides,
or it's the teams that score that blam every week.
They're the ones that go on and win it.
No, because if they're conceding a lot of chances,
all it takes is one moment of madness
where you're not ready
or the opposition has that star quality up against them.
And I've seen us come up against stars this season, bro.
I've seen us come up against stars
and nullify their threat.
So I think I take that.
What stars? What stars?
The team you want to hit?
Yeah, man.
So I feel like if we're facing Real Madrid,
yeah, of course, we're coming up against them
and the aura that they've got
and the players that they've been there and done that.
But I can trust us over 180 minutes.
We'll probably give them one, one or two chances
and see if they'll take it.
But I think that we can create more
because we have so many other threats.
We're a team.
That's how we're built.
When we get into the main topic,
talking about do we really need a striker,
that's our weakness.
But some people would say,
but it's also our biggest strength.
You don't know where it's coming from.
I mean, it's techie.
But before we get into that,
just because we've indirectly been talking about defence
with what T's been saying.
I think this question, big up, three pointer.
Our defence is down to the bare bones.
Only Cedric was available.
Saliba, Gabriel, Kyrie all playing every minute
till season end.
How do you lot feel about that?
Because I feel obviously with our form
and what we're doing and dealing with Sheffield United
and fortunately Cedric came on in better circumstances.
How do you lot feel with that, man?
Because it does kind of feel like that.
Even Saliba, we saw last season what happened
and he's played every Premier League minute.
How do you lot feel about our defensive depth?
I'm all right with it, you know, to be honest.
I think even if you look back to the days
when we won the Premier League,
I think you just need a solid back four
that's going to be there all the time.
I think you can have fringe left backs, fringe right backs,
maybe a decent centre back to come in.
But I think as long as you've got a solid four,
you're all right.
So I think the depth could be improved.
I'm not too bothered as long as Gabriel, Saliba
and Ben White stay fit, to be fair,
because we can almost go Kyrgios, Tomiasu, Zinchenko.
I'm not a Zinchenko fan,
but he can do a job when we're on top.
So yeah, I'm all right with it.
I'm all right with it, to be fair.
I wouldn't mind another defender, but I'm all right with it.
I'm like you, man.
I felt like in the early days of the season,
I felt we was well stocked there.
But then on reflection, looking at, you know,
Zinchenko picks up a lot, a lot of knots.
Obviously the one criticism over Tomiasu is he's probably,
only Part A probably has a worse injury record than him.
You take them out the side, you add in Timbershock injury,
pick up Kyrgios and whatnot,
but we're down to our bare bones.
And as you said, we need Gabriel, Saliba
and Benjamin White to stay fit,
or Part A might have to play right back.
Because I was thinking that in the Sheffield United game,
if things go wrong, Part A's going right back,
or maybe even Declan Rice is doing a job at centre half.
And obviously we ain't got the depth.
If Declan Rice comes out of that midfield unit,
then I don't know what we're doing there.
And it has a knock on effect now.
Obviously Arteta is going to have to find solutions,
but I'm with Ash with that, man.
Where are you, man, with it?
I've got concerns.
I do, because of the injuries that we do tend to suffer
with our depth in Tomiasu, Zinchenko in particular.
Yeah, I think you can kind of see with Cedric coming on
and in games that we are winning,
Arteta's taking off Ben White
because he knows how important he is.
Ben White and Saka are probably the two players
that come off the most when we're winning
with such clear margins.
But I am concerned in that.
That's the area in terms of the squad that we are weakest,
in terms of the squad depth that we are weakest in.
We've got numbers within that midfields.
The thing, like, if you think about it,
in terms of that defensive midfield cover,
we've got three players technically
in Rice, Jorginho, Part A.
We're one up more.
Yeah, there you go.
He's like our Cedric in that part of the picture.
And then in terms of the attack,
you've got options that you can do
and a lot of flexible options with Havertz.
Now he's a part of there.
He can also come into the midfields.
Then you've got Trossard as well,
a part involved in that part of the pitch.
Fabio Vieira, Emil Smith-Rowe,
who got no minutes yesterday.
And the same for Ketya, Rhys Nelson.
And yeah, Eddie and Ketya and Rhys Nelson,
they're not at the level of where we are right now anymore.
But again, we played in Ketya
from the first nine out of our 10 games of the season.
And beating Manchester City was one of them there too.
So I've got more trust and faith in Eddie and Ketya
and a Nelson than a Roel Walters, for example,
who would technically be the same in options
in that part of the pitch.
So yeah, we definitely need to get those two fit.
You know my thoughts on Timba.
I'm a lot calmer.
I'm trying to reserve my expectations a little bit
because of the injury that he suffered
and how long it does take players to kind of come back.
Because let's say he comes back
and he comes back against Porto, for example,
and he looks great.
And then, okay, we still have to take into account
his body's still kind of adjusting
and he's going to be even more prone
to picking up a little muscular injury.
And getting a sort of re-injury
as he's reconditioning his body.
So I'm not putting too much pressure on Timba,
but we definitely need Tamiyasu,
who he covers three positions in that defence.
Centre-back, right-back, left-back.
And then Zinchenko as more than left-back.
Japanese-Swiss Army nerf, man.
Yeah, because this is a great question from Vesta
as well you brought up, man.
Yeah, man, and this is where I was going
with the theme of it.
Big up yourself, Vesta.
He said, if anyone's just listening rather than watching,
who would you guys start against City?
Kirill, Tamiyasu, Timba, Zinchenko
if they all came back at left-back.
Me, if it's a fully fit Timba,
I'm probably, it's between you and Tamiyasu.
I don't really care.
It's one of you two.
Zinchenko, one love.
But it's this one.
What are you judging us on?
What community should we give?
But I just, I've seen enough.
I know Timba City.
I'm willing to put my life on Timba.
I know Timba City.
Like, I just know you're the guy.
I believe in him.
Let's say they're all fit
and we're playing Man City tomorrow.
Who are we playing?
Tamiyasu or Timba for me.
Whichever one wants to go out there.
I'm playing Kirill.
Kirill?
I agree.
I'm playing Kirill.
I've seen enough.
I've seen enough to be confident.
Kirill, my guy.
Yeah.
I've seen enough to be confident.
Okay.
What do you mean enough?
I'm talking about like reasons behind it, right?
Because what you're doing
is you're throwing Tamiyasu
into the first game against Man City.
No, but he's saying everybody's fit.
No, no, fit as well.
He was fit against Liverpool.
What did he do?
He made us concede.
He made us concede against Man City, Kevin De Bruyne.
Don't forget, right?
When Tamiyasu's been thrown into these games,
he hasn't produced-
Yeah, he's also had some health,
but let's remember he didn't get small seven.
That's my guy.
I agree.
No, no, no, no, no.
There's a few games in.
I agree, but he needs a few games
to get back into the rhythm of things.
Right?
That's true.
If, let's for example,
like he's played against Brentford.
We had another game before City.
I agree.
I want Tamiyasu played.
But because none of these players have really featured,
other than maybe Sinchenko,
none of them have featured enough for me to sit there
and go, yeah, I'm confident they'll come in
and they'll definitely do a job.
Whereas if Throne plays it,
I just don't like it.
Not a huge problem.
You put a brand to my head
that I'm going with Tamiyasu and Vigi.
Not to knock Kyrgios,
but like, you've hardly been tested.
I'll tell you one thing.
I ain't putting Sinchenko anywhere near this team.
Yeah, Sinchenko, you might come off the bench
if we need something,
but Zinni, one love, man.
I don't, Zinni, I'm more likely to put Kyrgios.
I would say Tamiyasu, Timba, Kyrgios, then Sinchenko.
On ability, I like how,
I actually like what Sinchenko gives us,
but I just feel the pros are not,
you know, the pros to his game
are not being outweighed enough by the cons.
And you know, with Sinchenko,
it has to go one way
or there's a lot of space and things like that.
I'm just going with the people I believe
are strong versus one beat one, man.
So yeah, man, that's me, man.
And remember who's playing on that right side
or who has been playing on that right side.
Probably Man City's most important player right now
in Phil Foden.
And we are, I hear what you're saying as well
in terms of, we've got some continuity there,
Souls and Ash.
We've got someone who's played week in week out
and he's starting to really build.
And who got hooked at all time against Fulham away?
There we go again.
My thing is-
I'm just running agendas still.
My thing is-
You're hating, you're hating, you're hating.
And I think DG, you might agree with me on this.
I saw Bakayoko, PSV, absolutely twist him up.
And that's a direct one beat one winger.
I mean, he hasn't really faced that in the past few weeks.
Kudos again, he wasn't on it in that game.
West Ham as a whole, couldn't really get him as an outlet.
And he grew after a one V one battle,
but could just beat him in one of the occasions
in the early stages of that game
when it was still nil nil.
And I did still have that in the back of my mind,
but we took him away in that and we blew him away.
We're not going to have the opportunity
to blow Man City away, Souls and Ash.
We're not going to have that.
So the game's going to be fine margin.
You are disgusting me.
You're telling me Man got ripped one time and that's it?
No, he didn't get ripped one time.
He got hooked at halftime against Fulham.
He got sandwiched against PSV.
He was quiet against Luton.
West Ham didn't do nothing,
but he got twist up one, two times.
I like him, yo, but like, man.
I don't want to run a general against Tommy FC.
Gone to everybody's heads.
Your putting's in check.
I mean, Kimi, you're a Bob Bear man.
No, no, no, brother.
I'd be in big trouble if I speak.
You want to hear this? Speak, bro.
Speak. This Arsenal fan show sentence.
We want to hear this. Speak.
No one's right. No one's wrong.
Speak, bro.
No, no, we threw this guy in against Man City.
Liverpool, we got pumped.
Yeah.
I will play him if he's fit.
And I mean fit as in he's played a few games.
Not just before.
No, I hear that point.
I hear that point. I hear that.
But I guess that question was just assuming
that sort of stuff's happened.
Or if all of that is, OK,
they've played a few games and they're ready to play.
OK, then it's Timbers first,
Tommy Asu, Kirill,
and we'll just give Zinchenko to Man City, sabotage them.
So are you 100% convinced on Kirill as well?
Go on, T, before you man answer that one.
This is what I'm saying.
DG, I'm not convinced.
He's our best 1v1 defender.
I like him, though.
Our best 1v1 defenders there.
I've seen, we've seen him often,
how Timber was against Bernardo Silva
in the charity, in the Community Shield.
He was excellent in that 1v1 battle.
In possession there too.
I think he gives us the best balance.
That's why, DG, and I agree with him
in terms of what Timber gives us.
In possession, out of possession, comfortable, fine.
I think with Tommy Asu, he's OK in possession.
That's where he lacks it a little bit.
But 1v1 defensively,
he's probably our best 1v1 defender at the club.
If we're talking about an out wide possession.
Artex said he's ball footed as well.
I'm here to run agendas for my Japanese brother.
I can't lie.
Exactly.
Like, Tommy Asu, let's not forget as well, Souls.
We don't know what Kirill's done with his man of fit as well.
He was starting above Ben White before,
at one point in this season.
It was when he got injured.
He lost his place and Ben White came in.
I think that's more because, again,
Ben White was nursing through an injury.
But that's because the level that Tommy Asu was in,
he was performing exceptionally at one stage.
So, going forward there too, which surprised me.
But I want my best defenders.
Pep Guardiola, you know who he's going to be playing at the back.
It's going to be basically four centre-backs
because our wingers are...
And Stones is going to be in the mix as well, lad.
Exactly. We need to prepare for that.
And that's why I think, potentially,
he's being a bit cautious with Tommy Asu and Zinchenko
because we kind of need some experience in that game.
I think Arteta would actually go...
I think Arteta would go with Zinchenko over Kivio too.
I think Zinchenko would be the first pick, you know.
I'm not even going to lie.
That is suicide, bro. That is suicide.
There's a line between stupidity and genius
and Arteta's been doing that, lad.
Genius is playing Ben White in the inverted row.
What a flippin' player that is.
Inverted Ben White is better than Zinchenko.
Hands down, a million times better.
Man doesn't get ripped.
Man in possession is doing things.
Did you see the goal? Zinchenko ain't doing this, man.
All he does is... He's a stripper, fam.
He just lets people pass.
Yeah, I know when he comes up.
I've got time for Zinny, though, man.
I don't know why I like Zinny.
He's like, come on, lads, come pass.
No, you see, again, I don't think that's actually that true, though.
He doesn't always do that.
I think Zinchenko's problem is concentration in moments.
We don't see Zinchenko get done every time he's 1v1 with his wingers.
Salah, everyone remembers that Salah goal,
but tell me something Salah did after that or before that, Chaz.
To be fair, Zinny's been in the trenches one, two times and done all right.
Exactly.
Arteta spoke about him and he said,
what I love most about Zinchenko is he still has that strong personality.
He didn't stop playing.
He didn't stop taking risks.
And one of our chances, our big opportunities at Anfield
came from Zinchenko taking that risk,
playing the ball through into Erdogan,
who gets it out to Saka, and then we're in.
If you have Thomas Partey, there's no need for Zinchenko.
Play Ben White in that inverted row.
I'm telling you, you'll see different levels.
My point is, he's experiencing those moments,
managing and being involved in these high-pressure games.
I haven't seen that from Jakob Kivio yet.
Fair enough, we'll forget Kivio for a second, right?
But even with Zinchenko, when we're talking about high moments,
Trent, what happened there?
Isn't that a high-pressure situation?
We just scored, we're in the lead and we need you to defend.
Yeah, that's what I was going to say as well.
Don't you think with Zinny,
you say he hasn't been ripped and this and that,
but he gets ripped at the moment when we need him to step up.
And that's the killer with Zinchenko.
It's not like he gets ripped week in, week out,
but he gets ripped in the moments that we need to be solid.
So when you're talking about concentration, DG, I agree.
But it's like, I don't know with Zinny, man.
For me, Zinny, he's a Man City rent boy.
Ever since we went to Man City and I told Kyle Walker
and I gave him a little knuckle on the head,
I said, yeah, that can't be our big man.
That can't be our big man.
No, it can't.
That can't be our big man getting a little mad like that.
So I'm down with Zinny.
I think Tomi Asiu's good,
but Tomi Asiu needs a good run of game, man.
And to stay fit, man.
If you don't stay fit, he might have to, you know,
I don't know with Tomi, man.
I don't want to say it, Tomi,
but we need people that are going to stay fit
because you actually look through half our team.
And I was thinking about this.
Who is actually durable?
You know, really the vast majority of our squad
pick up not Zinchenko gets not,
Eugenio gets not,
Vieira gets not, Nelson gets not,
Smith-Rowe definitely gets not,
Part A.
There's only a handful of men that stay fit.
And I think that's something Arteta's got to address.
I think with me and Zinchenko,
I just accept him for what he is.
Like, you know, when he signed for the club,
Arteta's talking about he's an eight and a 10.
He's playing in midfield.
He's played enough games to improve defensively.
And I think he has improved, but it's not enough.
You don't think like a defender.
Kind of what T's saying is concentration.
It's like, from what I've seen with Zinchenko,
the only time he kind of concentrates
is when he gets back in that defensive line
and then he switches off and we all know he inverts.
He's a flight risk.
I do have a lot of admiration at the time
of when Zinchenko signed for us
and how he changed our system.
But the better we get,
and definitely if we address our midfield,
like I said earlier,
the pros of Zinchenko and creativity,
it's a good added layer.
It's like having mac and cheese,
but you're not the main meal, innit?
You're a good side filler, but yeah, man.
Like, I just don't know.
I just, I'm definitely not playing Zinchenko
if we need someone to defend.
Anytime he plays against Salah, against Kudus,
any winger, you name it, I'm going to be shook for him.
I'm going to be shook for Kiriol.
Timber, the case study, I hear it.
It's not there, but I believe in Timber, innit?
And I believe in Tobiasi.
That's just me, innit?
But I like all of them, man.
It's different horses for different courses, innit?
Really?
So, but hey, I just know Kiriol's at the bottom
of all this, all these dogs.
That's all I know, man.
I can't agree with DG still.
I can't agree, man.
I think Zinny's, like you said, he's a stripper, man.
He's a rent boy, man.
I've seen enough of Zinny.
Yeah, but Kiriol couldn't do the invert, bro.
We had to make it basic for him again, man.
I could have kept Tierney for that.
Benjamin's having to invert, man.
Handicap use, man.
I'm not on it.
No, no, but that's a revelation.
Come on, man.
Don't just take this man quick and die.
Who's seen this Kiriol piece?
Again, we're talking about-
If he wants to play football, then fair enough.
I thought he was doing this football thing,
but I'm not even dissing Kiriol.
I like him.
He did well with his game with Rob Olden last year.
And remember what the question that Vesta said?
Yeah.
Against Man City.
Tell me when you've seen Zinchenko
get ripped up against Man City.
By the way, he played against Man City
at the start of the season when we get to Kinshika.
We've been, Pam, let's not do that.
We've beaten them more than once now, innit?
No, no, but I'm talking about Zinchenko.
There has been other players at play
when we've conceded in those moments.
Again, you know when you brought up Tomi Asu?
He was one when he was playing right back.
Not Zinchenko.
I didn't back for it.
I said, Kiriol, who are you playing against?
I know, but I'm just saying in terms of Zinchenko,
I think Arteta, and that's what me and DG were arguing.
I just know you can't slate Zinchenko
if you're rating Kiriol for getting clean sheets
against Sheffield United and that.
I hate the way this is created.
They've all played.
It's got to be Timbers for me first.
Because he gives you everything.
Everything you want, a bit on the ball, defensively.
Yeah, yeah, then Tomi Asu.
Yeah, Timbers first for me still.
You see this Timber thing, yeah?
Listen to this.
I love Timber.
But man has just come back from a hit back.
It's not just the fireman.
No, no, no, no.
They fit and they played.
That's the premise.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, but what?
Without the ACO or with the ACO?
No, no, Timbers are playing for the money.
When you're back with this ACO, you're playing Timber.
I don't care.
You're playing for yourself.
When you're ready to play a sustained amount of games,
Timbers is my guy.
Jesus has killed them, OK?
Like they're fully fit to go.
Timbers next season, man.
Maintenance needed.
I do think it's the next season thing for Timbers.
Timbers next season.
You know what it is with the ACO?
I haven't seen many men do their ACO and come back better.
I've seen some players come back the same.
A lot come back worse.
But I've hardly seen anyone do their ACO
and come back a better player.
Nah, Timbers on the Van Dyck thing.
He's cool, man.
The Dutch thing.
He'll be back.
He'll be back, man.
He prays to God on that.
Listen, he'll be back, bro.
I hope you're right.
I hope I'm wrong.
Because like I said, I saw enough of Timbers to say,
you know what?
That's our kind of player.
So I hope I'm wrong.
But at the same time, I've got to be realistic.
Like he's been out for months.
He ain't really played Premier League football.
He's still got to adjust to the Premier League.
He's just done his ACO.
He ain't played for ages.
I think we need to kind of just cool down for a bit.
Timber post-ACO, what?
Surely he's better than Kyrgios.
From what I've seen, yes.
But I haven't seen enough in the Premier.
I see charity showing up.
But we were saying in the summer,
Timber's our side of the season slightly, man.
I'm not giving up on Timber.
I know you're not as well.
But, bro, Timber's 30, man.
We finally got a 30 rugged youth that can do this thing, man.
I'm here for it, man.
Don't you think the way that Timber plays, yeah?
With his ACO injury, it might be reoccurring.
Timber seems like one of them kind of brute, rough defenders.
He loves a tackle.
I know Martellini's just slightly different here,
but Martellini's similar to that.
Like when he first came back,
first came back against Man City, he got injured again.
But I feel like Arteta's managed those types of injuries quite well.
That's why I don't think we're staying on this season.
Yeah, because I remember when Martellini was like,
oh, Arteta hates Martellini.
He's never going to play him.
He's going to be sold in the summer.
But it was like, in the background, we're hearing that he's getting retrained.
He's getting this, he's getting this treatment done.
And it's like, I just feel like, yeah, he knows what he's doing in this aspect.
Ash, realistically, you're right.
Timber isn't starting again.
But the question was, who are you putting?
If they're all...
Yeah.
Realistically, out of the players that could be fit and available,
it's going to be Tomi Asu.
What, me and DG, you're saying that, yeah?
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, because...
Tomi Asu and Timber, I'm relying on you to lock something down defensively.
I'm not dissing Kirill because I like him.
I think he's got confidence.
But come on, man.
Like, really and truly, what are we...
Even myself, what are we rating Kirill for?
Seriously, what are we rating him for?
Big up the Liverpool games, but what are we rating him for?
What are we rating him for?
Listen, DG, I feel like you've got a Polish agenda, you know?
No, no, no.
Listen, big up my Polish supporters, bro.
They're one of the biggest streamers in the countries that stream my videos.
I ain't got nothing against them.
I like Kirill.
I just don't know why we're guessing it.
I just like, bro, Burnley didn't offer nothing.
West Ham didn't offer nothing.
I personally think Timber's coming at the right time.
What way? I just want to know what he's good at.
What is Kirill excelling at?
Like, I just want to know. I'm not dissing him.
I'm being devil's advocate.
What is Kirill great at?
We're not conceding chances.
Following instructions.
Right, so what?
We've all got jobs.
You have to follow instructions.
That's what we're rating Kirill for.
He's clearly not because he's playing as a traditional fullback.
No, it's not inverted.
It's not wavy anymore.
DG, you're a football man, yeah?
Yeah.
Do you know how hard it is to follow your manager's instructions?
Yeah.
I know it sounds simple.
But these men play for Arsenal, bro.
You're Polish international.
You come from Italy, the university you're defending.
I can name, listen, I can name a bag of men
that don't follow instructions and play in the Premier League.
That's right.
We just want to know about Kirill, bro.
Yeah, he's good at following instructions, isn't he?
So, listen, I'm team Kirill, bro.
It's not like a great...
No, it is.
From what I've seen so far...
It's all right, bro. I think you're being a bit too harsh.
No, I like you.
The world's harsh, bro.
We were winning the Prem title for two...
We were top of the table for two and a half years, bro.
We're talking about the creme de la creme.
Against them, I need our best 1v1 defence.
I'm really saying this about Kirill.
If man were fit, he would disrunt.
I don't know.
We need squad players.
No, no, no, because he's taking it on.
He's taking the mantle.
He's doing his thing.
This is my position.
That's crazy, Kirill.
There's no one else, bro.
You got said to.
We should technically be praising him
because he's our fourth choice left back.
Like, we're down to our fourth choice
and he's playing well enough and we're still winning 6-0.
He was the fourth choice.
He was.
He still is.
Yeah, what's when the real man are back?
No, man are not going to be doing this about Kirill.
Big him up, because he said he did well against Liverpool.
Do you know what I rate Kirill for?
I think he did superb against Chelsea last season
and I think he stood up tall against Newcastle.
I wonder if Arteta thought last season,
should I put you in before Rob Holden?
But maybe he wasn't really ready
and maybe it was a case of Rob Holden's too ---- now.
I have to try something.
I like Kirill, but I must admit I'm a bit harsh on him
because when he came to this club,
man are saying he's fast, he's adaptable,
he can play centre mid.
Obviously, he's Polish, he's brute.
On top of that, he's come from Italy,
the University of Defending.
Tomi Asu came from there.
I just want to know what Kirill excels at.
Like, that's all I want to know.
He's not played enough.
Why has he not played enough then?
He's not played enough in the same games, man.
I don't know.
What's he done in the last few games?
Big up the assists, what, throwing them down?
No, but he's contributed.
The whole team's contributed.
Everybody's contributed, bro.
Exactly, but, you know what I mean?
I just want to know, what is Kirill good at?
Please, someone.
Doing his job.
What is the job?
Like, as BFPR, what is the job?
It doesn't matter.
The job for him is, you just be a left-back.
That's all he's been told.
Yeah, but what is it?
Whatever I'm telling you, Kirill,
he's following instructions.
And I know it sounds silly, but I'm telling you,
it's not easy to go on the pitch and just follow everything.
100%.
I'm acting, 100%.
100%.
You're 100%.
Again.
And then he's finding his stride again.
Look at Havertz in Kivio's introduction.
Come on, lad.
The team has levelled up with Kivio.
We've never scored this many goals this season.
I think we've done it in spite of Kirill, personally.
I think Cedric could have rocked that left-back, bro.
The difference between Kivio and the others,
the others are more versatile within-game than Kivio.
Listen, DG mentioned that, and I hate doing this
because he's come off of a few pieces of the board.
I'm not dissing him.
But he was awful in that inverting role from the left.
What, Tamiyasu, Timba, and Zinchenko...
Is it the inverting role?
That's a mistake from Arteta.
He's rectified.
Yeah, it was a mistake.
You're right in terms of that.
And he got criticised for it in that Fulham game.
But what they allow you to do is,
OK, if I want to go to a flat-back four,
I'm doing that.
Let's not...
And when people...
This is why I'm having to defend Zinchenko here.
Because he played against Liverpool in that first half.
He played against Manchester City for 90, 80-odd minutes
until he came off.
Doku came on and people were saying,
oh, Zinchenko against Doku.
He took the ball off of him in his first dribble against him.
So, my thing is, Zinchenko, Tamiyasu, and Timba
allow you to change shape multiple times in a game.
And against a Manchester City,
you need that tactical versatility
to be able to...
When they change up their system...
A man ducking out of headers and that as well.
Putting on beats while teams are attacking.
I don't know about that.
And Zinchenko's aerially very good.
That's one of his best defensive attributes.
People...
Remember, he's one of the best aerial defenders in our team.
Zinchenko...
Yeah? He wins the ball a lot.
Big him up. You're winning five headers.
But because he's, what, 5'9", 5'10"?
I'm terrible in the areas of full-back.
I'm exactly like Zinchenko.
I back myself over Zinchenko.
Full-backs struggle...
Bro, full-backs tend to struggle
because you're not asked to do that much defence in the air.
But Zinchenko's very good at it.
So, yeah, man, I like Zinchenko.
I do like what Zinchenko offers.
I know his weaknesses too.
That's why he's my third choice.
But he's above Kivio for other reasons.
Experience in those moments
in a pressurised environment in those big games.
Tactical versatility is the second big one.
What he allows you to do.
You want him to be just a full-back who's out wide?
He's done that.
Did that against Liverpool in that game.
They had nothing coming up on that side.
They were trying to attack Ben White in that game, in fact.
Remember Zinchenko last year against Man Utd?
I'm sure, in Chossart Squad.
Zinchenko, we were talking about how much we missed him.
I don't remember that. I wasn't watching the game.
I wasn't watching the game.
But, yeah, that's mine.
Kivio's still a banner aside.
I like Kivio. I like what he's doing.
I like his confidence.
And if you're not going to be someone that's going to,
you know, take Gabriel's foot at centre-half or at left-back,
just be competent, innit?
But he's still linked with moves to Italy, innit?
Would you not sell him for £20-30 million?
Probably.
With Kivio?
Yeah.
No!
We just got one, probably, so this is getting redundant now
with this Kivio thing.
No, no, no.
The reason is, yeah, because, like, he's tough, innit?
Because if we can sell Zinchenko as well,
then we go and get Jermaine Primpon in it
from Bayern Everton.
Do you know what we can do?
Sell Zinchenko, sell Kivio.
That's the funds to go get Primpon.
I'm happy.
I'm for that.
To be honest with you, I like what Kivio's doing.
I think Kivio, you know, he's just got to take his spot in it,
unless he's genuinely going to show that he's a competent squad player,
which he's doing,
or he can trouble Gabriel, I think, naturally,
in a couple of seasons.
I do think Arteta soon is going to phase out the Zinchenkos
and things like that.
Maybe even Tomi Asu, just off the basis of his injuries
and just go for more competent sort of players like that.
So, yeah, big up Kivio, man.
Let's get into another bit, man.
Like, is Kai Havertz a striker?
Is he our first-choice striker?
Do we need a striker based on the goals we're scoring
and what Havertz is doing?
Where are you at with this, man?
I still think we need a striker,
but I'm here to listen to you lot, man.
Everyone's chatting now,
but there was hella things I didn't hear.
You know what it is?
I was trying to think of how to word it.
I think that we still need a striker,
and I think the last time I was on the stream,
I said the same thing.
I think I said Havertz is a ghost player.
Like, I don't just want to label him as, like, a 9 or an 8, a 10.
I think we still need a striker,
but I think right now Havertz needs to be in the team, you know?
Yeah, he's doing his thing.
I wouldn't drop Havertz anytime soon unless things change.
Yeah.
I think the way he goes into positions in his late runs,
I don't think there's many men that can do what he can do, you know?
I know it sounds weird because he's not the best on the eye.
I understand and I agree.
Yeah, he's not the best on the eye,
but the way that he's mastered the late runs,
I don't see men in the Prem doing it like him, to be fair.
Man is football.
Let me tell you this, yeah.
That's my client.
I've been defending him all season.
I have been...
You don't understand the battles I've had with Arsenal fans.
When we signed him,
ah, 65 million pound flop,
I'll be getting another Chelsea player.
I was like, there's a madness to this.
I'm telling you, you will see the vision.
Even at the beginning of the season,
when he wasn't playing so well, I said,
no, this guy has been doing what he's doing all season.
You man are just blind.
You just didn't want to see it.
Your hatred for Chelsea nearly ruined your relationship with Havertz.
Look at that assist he did.
Look at that assist, the way he brought the ball down.
Look at that strike.
This guy, as soon as he gets even more confident, yeah,
this guy is going to rip the Premier League.
This guy is the player we needed.
He's going to become more clinical.
He's going to get even better at his playmaking.
He is the striker we're asking for.
All he needs to now do, yeah,
is someone needs to either cuss his wife,
someone needs to cuss his mum or something.
Just get that anger in him.
Yeah, piss him off.
Someone needs to piss him off.
He is a shithouser, to be fair.
I don't know where he ends up long term,
but I just accept him as this multifunctional guy
that's going to have some moments.
He's a weird one because I don't think he's exciting on the ball,
but he's great off it.
Bring Jesus, yeah, to do that eight roll
and just leave Havertz up top.
Right, right.
You're under Jesus in the eight-roll ticket.
Yeah, I'm telling you, man.
Nah, for me that's...
Jesus doing that in deep.
Now, trust me, doing that in deep
and then having Havertz just basically twist these,
bamboozle these defenders, yeah, is what we need.
And then Jesus just comes in and does his thing.
I'm telling you, there's a madness to this, yeah.
Because every game I've seen,
why is Havertz playing all the big games up top?
Liverpool, Man City...
He's a big game player.
It sounds crazy to say this,
but he is a big game player, still.
He is.
Chelsea, City, Liverpool.
You know, people don't realise this,
that guy's a genius.
Like, genuinely, this guy...
He's a very intelligent footballer.
...is such a genius.
He's not a good player to watch, I understand that.
He's not your YouTube highlight reel.
He's not a Ronaldinho or a nine that's kind of like...
But even then, he did nutmeg someone and score a goal,
so, you know, he can do that as well.
But...
He has done some great things
in the last three games in particular,
and it shows you what confidence can do,
if I'm honest, man.
I still think we need a forward,
but I think his best position is up front now.
This guy's delivering something to Arsenal,
I'm telling you.
He's going to be...
Don't like how we did that Chelsea in the final.
