I guess that's right, back Charlie, that's right.
Oh!
Let's go!
People deluded, I'm back again.
During the introduction of this, in typical DG fashion,
I've actually spilt my coffee on myself, but the show must go on, there's no do-overs.
I hope everyone's doing well and safe, I hope you're all blessed.
As usual to my regular supporters, appreciative to have you lot tuned back in.
If you're new here, hit the subscribe button, everybody do me a favour,
get the creative juices flowing and remember to leave a comment
when this video is done across everything we've discussed
and the journey to 70,000 subscribers is alive and kicking,
so make sure you're smashing the like button.
Now, again, you know, the international break is basically over,
we're going to war on Sunday against Manchester City,
but in the meantime, all we've really got is the talking points that float online, people.
So let's go over a lot of them, apparently there's some injury updates,
their names are still being floated, so let's get straight into it.
Now, some reports apparently, according to reports, Arsenal may be in a position
to outbid Chelsea's Premier League club's race to sign Victor Osman in the summer.
I mean, since Chelsea, well, since Abramovich, they've been flexing their money.
Since the, you know, the new takeover, they've been flexing their money,
they've spent a billion pounds and with them not being in the Champions League
and on paper not having that much to show for it,
I'm not too sure they're in a position to spend before they sell players.
A bit of the similar rhetoric from last season in which Kovacic, Kai Havertz,
Mason Mount, almost forgot his name, all departed Chelsea.
So maybe that's because of that.
Maybe, you know, they might be richer than us, quote unquote,
in line with what they're doing, but because we're in a lot more healthier stead,
we're in a position to flex our muscles.
I actually am starting to believe, well, on one hand, I believe
Osman's going to end up in the Premier League, but on the other hand,
I'm starting to believe he's going to end up at a club that isn't historically linked
or been historically linked with him. As you know, Arsenal, Chelsea, PSG
and a bunch of others have been linked with the Nigerian international
and current Napoli forward, who recently signed a new deal
with an interesting release clause around the £100 million region.
Allegedly, people, Ben Jacobs thinks Arsenal could outbid Chelsea.
Arsenal, like Joshua Zersky, they've been scouting Victor Goya-Kerez too.
I think it's less likely at this stage that they're too aggressive
on Victor Osman, PSG are maybe the more likely destination.
But if Osman decides he wants to come to the Premier League
and Arsenal enter the race, Arsenal can go head-to-head.
They may even get ahead financially, speaking of Chelsea people.
So we'll have to see. Apparently, there's understood to be €100 million
release clause in Goya-Kerez's contract and Sporting Lisbon
expect this to be triggered or bettered this summer.
I mean, they can't expect a hundred odd million.
You know, there probably will be some haggling done.
Allegedly, Jacobs has said, understanding is that Victor Goya-Kerez
is on Arsenal's list of striker options for the summer.
The 25-year-old has 36 goals in all comps.
Sporting expect the €100 million release clause to be triggered
or better for a more preferable deal structure.
They spent 20 odd million quid on him. Chelsea, so it'd be a good profit.
Chelsea sources deny any January bid for Goya-Kerez.
Despite some reports at the time, Chelsea have other options
in mind for the summer and Victor Osman still can't be ruled out
despite the cost and PSG's firm interest.
Arsenal could still move for Ivan Toni and there's even a chance
they'll wait if it becomes clear free agency is likely in 2025.
Arsenal have also considered Bologna's Joshua Xerxe,
who is on Milan's radar as well.
I mean, Arsenal have shown they're prepared to wait
if they don't get the right option.
And I mean, Ivan Toni, to anyone that wants to listen to him,
says, I want to leave Brentford respectfully to them.
I don't, I mean, I don't believe we're going to go for Ivan Toni
even though I wouldn't be against it.
And recent other journalists have kind of had conflicting news
towards what Ben Jacobs is saying here, people.
Big up Tom Canton, my guy.
He's offered his thoughts on Football.London.
He said Victor Yoqueires is on Arsenal's transfer list
as Edu refines striker search with seven more assessed.
You'd imagine there's even a lot more than that.
But for what it's worth, my guy has written in this article,
Arsenal are following the progress of sporting CB striker Victor Yoqueires
closely and holding interest in the Sweden international,
better yet Swedish, ahead of the summer transfer window.
Football.London understands the 25-year-old fulfills plenty
of characteristics that the Gunners are looking towards this summer.
Having scored 36 goals and added a further 14 assists in all comps,
the former commentary man has propelled himself amongst
the most highly regarded players in Europe right now.
Arsenal see the central forward position as a primary area of focus
in the summer market.
But Yoqueires is not necessarily the only player the club is assessing.
It can't be because, you know, you can go after him as much as you want.
If he says, you know, I want to go elsewhere, you're left in the lurch.
So rightly so.
We should have a bunch of various targets, you know,
according to their age profile.
Some might be more seasoned than others.
Maybe, you know, I'm of the belief that, you know,
we might go for another kind of Trosser-y kind of player.
And what I mean by that is, not like polite per se,
but Trosser can play as a false nine, play on the right and play on the left.
Obviously he's played more on the left and up front than on the right.
But you get the point, a versatile attacker that carries a goal threat
that kind of adds on to what we've got already
and the goals generally being spread out among the team.
And at 25 years of age, Victor Yoqueires,
he's of that perfect kind of mid-range in that he's not his early 20s.
So there's a certain foundation there.
I'm not one of these guys that goes, oh, he's 29, he's 30, he's finished.
But he's not towards the latter ages.
He's of that mid-range where he can grow with everybody in the squad.
You know, the core nucleus of our team is the kind of early give or take to mid-20s.
You know, the Martinellis, the Salibas, the Gabriels, the Kai Havertz,
he's now the Martin Odegaard and plenty of others that I haven't actually said.
They're Timber to come back as well and many others people.
Sources have explained that the top young striker category is the Prometo.
I can never say that, Prometo, to which they have narrowed their search.
This would encompass a number of forwards across the world's top leagues right now,
but also potentially exclude several previously talked about players.
Tony is a key one with Football.London having reported in early February
that a winter move was not as likely as had been suggested elsewhere.
Furthermore, a move for the England international in the summer
also looked all the more unlikely with Tony no longer fitting the profile
the club have switched to.
22-year-old Santiago Jimenez, who obviously plays for Feyenoord,
is one mentioned at the beginning of the campaign and with 24 goals this season,
he too is likely to be on the list of monitored forwards.
Ivan Nilsson of Porto, who faced Arsenal in the Champions League,
so I'm reading two things at once, has 22 goals this season
and the 24-year-old has added six assists to his tally.
I'm not a fan of Ajax's Brian Brobley, but he has 28 goal contributions.
Opendo, who was at London and obviously at Leipzig, has 27 goal contributions.
Victor Bonaface, who at the moment is nursing an injury,
but has been linked before, has 24 goal contributions
and was still linked with Victor Rosserman.
Izak's been floated, but it's going to cost a lot of money
and I can't see that happening, people.
So we'll have to see. Essentially, it's just all guesswork
because nobody knows internally what the club is doing.
Allegedly, people, Chris Wheatley has spoken on Ivan Tony
and said that we were not impressed by his behaviour.
Ivan Tony, it doesn't look like there's interest there once was.
That has faded a bit. I don't think his behaviour in certain games
has impressed the Arsenal hierarchy, coupled with the fact
he's going to cost a lot of money from Brentford.
I don't think that's one that's likely to happen any time soon.
So you could probably maybe put to bed the Ivan Tony stuff.
Jorginho's agent has been speaking.
We all know the 32-year-old has been linked with signing a new outright deal.
There's always going to be interest in Italy for Jorginho's services
and things of that ilk, people.
His agent, for what it's worth, has said,
I was at the stadium. I watched him live. Italy on the right path right now.
They won two important friendlies in the United States
against South American national teams such as Venezuela and Ecuador.
Now focus on the European Championship.
He then says Jorginho lifted the trophy at Wembley.
It's right to think about the positive aspects of his career,
not just the negative times. It's football. That's how it works.
I hope he lifts the trophy in Germany too with the Italy shirt.
Then he said, the squad is Arsenal's strength.
Today, they're a squad that lead the Premier League.
I don't look at the league table, so I don't know.
They're in a position of absolute importance.
They're in the Champions League. They face Bayern
and there'll be a lot of emotion until the end of this season.
He then said he's out of contract with the Gunners.
We'll talk to them because he's doing well if they need him from next season.
It's always like this in football. Jorginho has played in Italy all his life.
He likes it a lot. Why say no?
So again, maybe the priority is to stay at Arsenal Football Club,
but the agent's doing the right thing, or at least to us fans,
he's not saying everything.
And it all depends on what Jorginho wants to do.
I do think there's a lot of moving parts.
For instance, we might move on Thomas Partey.
Jorginho stays for another year.
We bring in another midfielder.
And then for the following season, beyond next season,
we bring in another one to take over Jorginho's spot.
Jorginho might say, do you know what? I actually want to go back to Italy.
I want to do this. I want to do that. Then there's that.
So there's a lot of moving parts.
But for what it's worth, Jorginho's been doing the business on the football field.
I said it in the January sign that while it wasn't a sign and you think,
wow, I think people were downplaying Jorginho's strengths
and what he can bring to the team, his intelligence on the football field.
Obviously, his partnership with Declan Rice, if Partey is not going to be a thing,
is a lot more of an attraction than what we could put out there.
There's a wealth of transferable experience.
There's so much to like about Jorginho.
And I think he will be, I'm not saying a manager,
but I do think he'll be a coach to some capacity somewhere in previous years.
And there's a lot that he can learn.
You know, you look at someone from like David Luiz,
when you hear Bakayo Saka and all them players speak,
they still speak of the impact that David Luiz had.
And I can tell you for an educated fact, people,
that David Luiz was very great around the young players, like I said as well.
So I do think experience can be overrated, but it cannot be overstated.
And, you know, there's not one midfielder at Arsenal Football Club
that can't learn something from someone like Jorginho,
if I'm completely honest, especially Declan Rice in that matter.
So, yeah, moving on from that, once again, you know,
articles are still linking Arsenal with Victor Llorqueres.
And they're all just at this point saying the same sort of thing,
if I'm honest. Ajax apparently are looking at one of our coaches, people.
Steven Berg, I can never pronounce his name, forgive me,
is someone that's consistently linked with top manager positions in his own right.
You know, he struck up a good rapport with Mikel Arteta.
And, you know, Mikel Arteta is the poster boy for what we're doing,
but he can't do it on his own.
So, you know, all the coaches, as well as everyone else connected
to the football club for what we're doing slash trying to do,
deserve a pat on the back.
But, yeah, he's linked with a move to Ajax.
And he's someone that's always going to be in high regards, really.
Again, Ousmane Diamonde is still linked with Arsenal.
The Sporting Lisbon centre-half is still Arsenal.
Chelsea and the great old 60 to 80 million valuation.
Newcastle every couple of days are thrown into the mix.
Whether Arsenal will do that is another thing,
but that is something that's been said.
Charles Watts has been speaking on Nico Williams,
younger brother of Inaki Williams.
He currently plays his trade at Bilbao.
My understanding is that Arsenal are looking for a player
who can operate in wide positions,
but I'd be surprised if Daniel Marlon is a genuine option,
someone that's been linked with Arsenal where he used to play for us.
What I do know is that they have a longstanding interest in Pedro Neto,
while Nico Williams is also understood to be higher
on their list of potential targets.
I see players like those two well ahead of Marlon in the pecking order
when it comes to the summer, folks.
Again, apparently Barcelona are aware that Nico Williams
would be excited to join them,
and contacts with the player's entourage have never disappeared,
not even after his renewal.
So again, it'll be an interesting fight for him.
We have been linked with Dilip previously, people.
I don't think we're going to sign him,
and I'm sure a lot of you didn't smash the like button
and let me know your thoughts so far.
But for what it's worth, he said,
I'm not thinking about a transfer. I'm happy at Bayern.
The club and the fans have always given me a lot of love.
I feel good. So there you have that with him, people.
Bakayoko would be a lit signing for us, in my opinion.
Very raw, but someone I think Arteta could get a trick out of.
He has been linked with Liverpool and City,
and I'd love for us to throw our hat in the ring.
He cooked Kyrie when we played in the Champions League.
On Zoubamedie, who's probably the poster boy of players linked with Arsenal,
Sky Germany reporter Florian Plattenberg has said,
Martin Zoubamedie, the 25-year-old,
is still one of the most interesting candidates
for the defensive midfield of Bayern.
Bayern definitely wants to sign a number six.
Zoubamedie can imagine a move to Bayern and is aware of interest.
His release clause in the summer has been confirmed, 60 odd million euros.
However, Bayern will only become concrete or not in brackets
once the new manager is confirmed, naturally so.
Additionally, the futures of Kimmich and Gareska should be clarified
before discussing new candidates.
So that's probably an ace up our sleeve
in that we know Mikel Arteta is going to be here.
We're not changing managers like Bayern Munich
and, well, Jorginho and Partey are linked with moves away generally
and their futures are delicate.
But there's a lot more clarity over the majority of our players,
especially in midfield.
So hopefully we can get that one over the line.
Now, I've done a video on Mika Beref, people.
I've done a couple, actually.
So make sure you're checking them out.
He's got a year left on his deal.
As much as we're talking about bringing in players,
we probably need to let some go.
Who doesn't want a player to come through our academy?
But for a young striker that's doing well in a decent league,
maybe the club say, you know what,
let's just make a profit and keep it moving.
For what it's worth, Stuttgart want to sign Arsenal striker Mika Beref
on a permanent deal this summer.
He confirmed that when he actually joined in January.
But are likely to face competition for his signature.
Beref will just have one year left on his contract come the summer.
So if we're not in talks already, that tells you everything.
Maybe he wants to run down his deal.
Arsenal might say, you know what, he's put himself in the shop window.
He's not quite going to make the grade here with Kai Havertz,
Trostar, Jesus and another striker ahead of him.
Let's just make our money and keep it moving.
And, you know, I'm going to do a video on this.
But, you know, you look at the Mika Beres of this world,
Eddie and Ketia, Rhys, Nelson, Smith-Rowe,
you know, a couple of young Charlie Paterno,
Brook Norton, Coffey on loan.
I don't think they're all going to be sold.
I don't want them to be sold.
But these could be potential profit makers, you know.
Not everyone can make it at the football club.
You've got the Bakayo Sackers.
You've got Eddie and Ketia and Nelson and Smith-Rowe.
Various importance to the squad and what they've done.
You know, Iwobi, Maitland-Niles, Balogun,
they're all playing at good levels, progressing through the academy.
So if players can reach the first team and be household names
at the club, great.
If we can make a profit, then the academy is doing
what it's meant to do, which is, you know,
developing great people before footballers
and allowing these young players the development path
so that they can cut their teeth in a professional game.
So we'll have to see what's going on there.
You know, Charles Watts has spoken about young Ethan.
We love the fact that he's staying at the club and he's turned 17.
So you'd imagine his pro deal will be announced.
There's some rumours that it's the highest paid one
in our club's history and we've broken the structure there.
In relation to Saka, Martinelli and Gabriel people,
you would have seen a number of City players pulling out
on international duty slash quote-unquote being injured.
You know, John Stones, Kyle Walker.
I wish you all the best health, but it wouldn't surprise me
if you lot on the Ganja are playing on Sunday,
but it is what it is.
Apparently, Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Magalhaes,
I can never say his last name, forgive me,
and Bukayo Saka were all withdrawn after being called up
for their respective nations over the most recent international break.
Martinelli is still struggling with a foot problem
that he sustained in a 6-0 win over Sheffield United.
Gabriel has been managing an inflamed Achilles tendon.
He's been putting on a bit like Benjamin Wise.
Big up you lot, isn't it?
Well, Saka has a minor muscle issue.
Now, with the games played and where we're at,
I don't think there's many footballers at any club
that isn't carrying some sort of knock.
All three are working hard in the hope
of making a return for Sunday's match.
Rumours had suggested that Martinelli could be out
for the season due to his injury,
but these are understood to be wide of the mark.
Edu and Arsenal's medical team were in close dialogue
with the Brazilian national team before deciding
to withdraw Gabriel from Brazil's squad
for the friendlies against England and Spain.
As we know, Saka reported to England training
with a muscle complaint and was initially made
to train away from the boys, but has since left.
So we'll have to see, and as we know,
and they're on their way back.
Zinchenko came off the bench for Ukraine
as they confirmed qualifying for Euro 2024,
and Kirill actually played 120 minutes for Poland.
And we just went over Georginio,
he played in America.
Now, I'm no medical man, but the amount
of minutes in the legs, the travelling,
all of that sort of stuff,
with us got 12 games left on paper.
You want these boys to be wrapped in cotton wool,
and we hope that Timber and everyone else
who's got injuries can return.
Now, Pedro Neto's always linked with Arsenal.
Apparently Spurs are in the race to sign him.
I don't think Arsenal are going to go for him.
I think there's an admiration for him.
I don't think we're convinced with his ability
to stay fit, and maybe considering the fact
that he's contracted until 2027,
probably just a bit too expensive.
You never know.
But Romano, for what it's worth, has said,
Arsenal have some wingers in their sight
for the summer, but while it's normal to see
a long list of names linked with clubs
in this situation, who's really emerging
as the main options on Arsenal's list?
Pedro Neto is a player Arsenal like
and have looked at before,
but we'll have to wait for Wolves to decide
initial price tag to understand what
Arsenal, Spurs and more clubs will decide to do.
Their manager, Gary O'Neill, is probably
one of the most underrated managers
in the Premier League.
He's been linked with Man United,
so he could look to bring him over
to Man United, but let's just assume
their manager goes.
Pedro Neto might sit there and say,
you know, what's the project saying here?
I want to play in the Champions League.
Been linked with Arsenal and Spurs
in that article.
Historically linked with Liverpool,
and up until a few weeks ago, really,
was really aggressively linked
with Manchester City.
So we'll have to see exactly
what happens in that regard.
Again, keeping up the theme of Arsenal
versus Spurs for players,
we all know he was linked with
Morgan Gibbs-White.
Whether there's legitimate interest
from Arsenal or Spurs, I don't know.
But you can imagine based on the players
that are linked with moves away
from Nottingham Forest, it's based off
the points deduction and rumours
over profit and sustainability rules.
So yeah, apparently their hat's been
thrown into the ring.
Spurs are actually now favourites.
I can't imagine Arsenal are going
to be queuing up to spend 50 million
on Morgan Gibbs-White if I'm completely
honest with you.
But there you have that.
And we've already gone over Romano's
comments, but apparently he's also
spoken on Nico Williams and said,
Nico Williams has also been monitored
by Arsenal and his €50 million
release clause is there.
I've been saying for a while that
there are multiple clubs closely
following the situation.
It's not only Arsenal for Williams,
but Chelsea have also been scouting
the boy, but many other clubs too.
It's looking like being a really
open race, which is good news for
his protection, you know, for the man
in fact, because if it's a release
clause, it doesn't really matter
where he goes, people.
So we'll have to see exactly what's
happening. But in relation to, you
know, Arsenal news, that appears
to be everything.
As I said, smash the like button.
Let me know your thoughts and
everything discussed.
Check out the rest of the content.
Most importantly, stay in good
health, stay blessed, stay safe.
And I'll see you all again soon.
Peace.
