Hello everyone, today we're playing a skier versus snowboarder game of snow.
I'll be representing the snowboarders, my buddy Alex here will be representing the skiers,
and he's going to start us off by setting the first trick.
Let's do it!
Let's start it off with a good old backflip on the small jump at the top of the park.
Alright.
Dude, that was sick.
Nice!
Getting started.
I'm not a park jump backie in a minute.
So, I mean, there's going to be some tricks that are, you know, some classic snowboard
tricks that I want to see if they can translate, so I mean, the best grab in snowboarding is
a method.
For a snowboarder, it's like, in front of the binding, and then, you know, you tweak
out and open.
Yeah.
I mean, for a skier, it would have to be, like, safety, but, like, in front of the binding,
and then, like, tweak it out to the side.
If you get on the grab and get a little bit of something, I think that counts.
Alright, well, yeah, let's just try it, and we'll see afterwards if you think mine is
legit.
Oh!
That was awesome!
Ah, a little bit weak.
Best ski method I've ever seen.
Should we go hit just this DFD here?
What about, like, just rail slide it?
Okay.
Let's get to the end.
I gotta do a board slide, he's gotta do a ski slide.
Oh!
I think I gotta take a letter on that.
So, uh, snowboarders got an S. I'm sorry, boys.
I let you down on a board slide, but we'll come back.
I mean, the kinks on the skis are probably, to be honest.
Alright, so we've been starting the tricks off pretty easy.
I think we gotta, uh, start stepping it up.
Let's hit the stall, and let's do a switch stall 180 out.
Oh, no!
Too much speed!
Let's go maybe on this down tube.
Oh, yeah, sure.
Um, if we can make it.
I can pop over.
We don't really need much speed.
I mean, these whole ski things can walk uphill, but I can make it uphill, too.
I can pull you up.
That's a good friend.
Look at this service!
This is why it's good to have skier friends.
What trick do you wanna do?
What about, like, a two-on?
Just any two-on?
Yeah.
Okay.
Nice!
That was sick.
Thanks, dude.
What should we do?
I mean, that's my idea, but, like, kind of, like, 180 on, 180 out on the little pill up.
You game for that?
Like, 50-50, though?
Yeah, yeah.
Like, land switch 50, though?
I mean, if, like, it's something that you would be stoked on, then you can call that,
and I'll try to switch 50 as best I can.
Okay, so I'll do frontside 180 on, switchback 180 out.
Alex is gonna do 180 on, switch 50, 180 out.
I mean, you survived it, though.
Like, we'll take sketchy, so I'll give that to you.
I hate sketchy, though.
Yeah.
Alright, it's your set.
We can do rails or jump.
Well, do you wanna do, like, kind of, like, a cork 5?
Cork 540.
I'm gonna do switchback 5, because I think I can get more cork.
Nice!
So, if I do a back lip on the downrail, do you wanna do, like, a lip slide, but, like,
your unnatural ski stance?
Sure.
So, I'm right foot forward, and then I can go left foot forward, lip.
That's perfect.
Onto the rail, yeah.
Let's do that on the downrail.
Oh, I almost lost it!
Wow!
I can't believe that I missed that!
I honestly almost lost it, too, but...
Somehow, like, my edge kind of just caught, and it felt weird.
And that was that.
Reverted.
S to S.
Hey, I'm just gonna strap in right now.
Yeah.
You don't have to do that?
No.
I'm just waiting, man.
So, it's your set.
What do you wanna do?
All right.
Now we got the jump.
Let's do a switch core five.
I did it last time I did a switch, too, though.
So, now you just do it the other way.
I'll do a cap five.
Let's try to do it with nose.
Ooh, I like that.
Okay, I'll try cap five.
Well, your nose is always the same nose.
Yeah, I'm gonna go for, like, true nose, which is, like, grabbing this ski, and not this
one.
That would be up nose.
Okay.
But you, I guess, like, it's just nose of your board.
Okay.
We'll do true nose.
My true nose of my board.
Yeah, perfect.
I like that.
Dude, that's hard for me, though.
Yeah, it's hard for me, too.
Dude, that was such a good try.
It was.
I was a lot closer than I thought I'd be.
That was cool.
That pushed me.
Dude, I never do cap five like that.
But that's a sick way to do it.
You're so into it.
I love that.
Yeah, you gotta, like, full commit.
All right, let's go hit some rails.
So, I think we should try a tail press, a five-oh.
Okay, perfect.
I'll do it goofy, but you'll do ski slide, hey?
Like, the version of a tail press on skis would really be, like, sliding the skis and
then, like, trying to go, like, on a press on your tails.
So, like.
Not 50-50 tail press.
That doesn't really.
It doesn't work.
It doesn't work on skis.
Yeah.
All right, tail press.
So, we'll do the ski tail press.
Yeah, I don't think I can count that.
That was horrible.
Yeah, you wanted a better one.
All right.
Yeah.
Let's do, like, a cork seven.
Yes.
Yeah?
You read my mind.
That was the exact trick I wanted to do.
Okay, sure.
Let's do, like, a cork seven.
Like, tail.
Ooh, tail.
I'll do back seven tail.
Neither of us have hit this jump yet, so we'll see how it goes.
Damn.
I lost on the takeoff.
You had that one.
I know.
Oh, well.
So close, though.
Yours was steezy.
I was so close.
I should have just really just pulled in.
I'm thinking I did a goofy back seven.
What if we did, like, I'll do a switch back seven.
Do you want to try a switch on that?
Sure.
Okay.
I haven't done a switch on that seven in a bit, but I'll do it.
I'm going to grab mute, but you can grab whatever you want,
whatever makes it comfy for you.
No!
I slipped out on mine, so it didn't even count anyways.
But you did it so well.
But, yeah, I haven't done that in so long.
It definitely wasn't, like, the best, but I'm glad that it went smoothly.
Dude, that was really nice.
I'm just under-rotating right now.
I got to come up here.
Good on it.
Do you want to set a rail trick?
What about we go and hit the, like, flat, flat, flat with, like, a two-seven out?
Beauty.
Oh!
Nice!
That was so terrible.
That was a good save, man.
You got it.
I was falling off the whole time, and I was like, I can't let it go.
No, man, that was awesome.
You saved that super well.
Yeah, that was some contest snowboarding right there.
Oh, if I do a front three off the toes, can you do, like, a carve on one side
but then spin the opposite way of your carve?
Let's do it.
All right.
Off carve three.
Oh!
Oh, no!
You went too big.
Yeah, way too big.
Ah, damn.
Like, the off carve I thought was going to make me ditch so much more speed.
But it almost gave you more than anything, eh?
Okay, that puts us, um...
Three to three?
S-N-O to S-N-O.
Pretty much sudden death right now.
Yeah.
Alex has been pretty nice to me.
We'll see if he's going to continue to be nice to me.
But it's your set, and we'll do what you want to do.
Maybe I shouldn't have picked an Olympic medalist to go up against.
I mean, I don't know if it might be really hard on a snowboard.
Okay.
I have two ideas.
Yeah.
What about you choose which one that you...
I like this.
Choose your own adventure.
So either, like, a blind switch up, which would be, like, coming in, ski slide,
and then doing, like, a switch up on the rail, then 270 out.
Yeah, yeah.
Or a switch to on, back to out.
Okay.
Both difficult, but I like where this is headed.
What do I want?
Both kind of similar, but kind of hard.
What do I want?
I can do the blind switch up 270, but I feel like it's less consistent.
I think I almost should go for the switch two, two out.
Switch two, two out.
I think I've got the best chance at that.
Okay.
Yeah.
I think I have a pretty good chance at both, hopefully.
All right, Alex.
Cross your fingers.
All right, let's do the switch two.
Oh, what an easy guy.
Whoa.
That was dangerous.
Hey.
Great game.
Such a good game.
It was super fun to try some random tricks.
And, I mean, it did exactly what I always love games of snow to do,
which is push each other to do tricks that we're not super comfortable with.
Yeah, I know.
It was awesome, and what a nice day.
See you guys in the next one.
Hell yeah.
