This is day #3 of my Black Forest & Vosges Tour in May 2019 and my first day of riding with Thomas. We arrived late at our Hotel the night before and had a late start on this day. Also, the tall windscreen (my old Puig) did not work for Thomas as he was getting plenty of wind buffering. We made a trip to a home improvement store before we began our tour to get some tools to shorten the wind screen after the tour. I managed to splash gasoline into my face during one of the tank stops. Luckily I had a water bottle within reach to do a first rinse. It is crazy how much that burns. Good thing I had spare contact lenses and a fresh turtle neck. The day ended with one too many beers but that is for the next video. Like the video? Leave a thumbs up or a comment. So, we're finally here. It's probably already, I don't know, 10 o'clock or something like that.
Now we're finally going to the hardware store to buy some sails for the windscreen.
And then we're finally going on tour in North Schwarzwald.
Keep on rollin' baby!
See ya!

So, lunch break. It's probably already 2 o'clock, right?
3 o'clock.
We're going to have lunch break at 3 o'clock. We left late last night.
We're going to have lunch break at 3 o'clock.
And we've already done that. How many kilometers have we done on the clock?
190.
Easy peasy.
Peace.

That's what it looks like when you spray gasoline in your face.
Yeah, that's ----.
That's really ----, right in the middle of the eyes.
And the gasoline is sprayed back, especially when refueling.
I slipped and held on to it.
And it's all sprayed back into my face.
Not so cool.
Let's see if I can use the bathroom here.
I just rinsed it all out with water.
But somehow the whole face is still burning.
And of course the clothes still smell of gasoline.
That's really ----.
So, let's see if they have a toilet here.
Not so cool.
So, now it's going slowly again.
We were able to wash our faces here in the toilet.
And luckily I had an extra pair of contact lenses with me.
Because they also got it all off.
I don't know how good it would have been to leave it in there.
I would have never thought that such a ---- would happen.
But with the tank that KTM has installed,
you can't really get the nozzle in.
And that means you always have to hold it in position.
I slipped a bit and then the whole thing was sprayed back.
I never had the problem with the BMW EGS.
Because you can get the nozzle full into the tank.
And actually has no difficulties.
No idea what KTM built.
But I've hardly seen that happen.
Yes, William McGregor in Longway Mountain.
I think he did it twice.
However, at the EGS.
I don't know how he did it.
But that was also a club of people who sprayed gasoline into their faces.
Okay, let's go.
I
can't get any closer
we can get any closer
Good day.
Cheers
It's better, isn't it?
No, not at all.
I have the beer with me.
It's no fun without it.
So
Between the first and the second beer
I would say
professional
Right?
Now we're going to smooth it down a bit.
And then we'll sell them on eBay.
150 euros a piece.
It was too much.
But full.
And?
Cut exactly on the line.
A lot of fun.
Well, it fits.
It's better now, the right height.
I could almost get there now.
I mean, it's the same.
So, project.
Shorten the windshield.
Looks good at first.
Not that it wouldn't have helped otherwise.
I also saw a little something.
That's good.
Now we can see what it looks like here.
Big Gibi
And now
put it on.
The custom shortened
I think that's good.
So if this doesn't work
So from
It fits.
We have to take off the cams.
Distance bolts between them
to make it stiffer
You've already done that.
I'll try it right away.
Then we'll need time.
Although now in the end
I'm sure I can handle it.
So now the thing is being mounted
to the 1190.
And if it works
We'll sell it for 150 pieces.
Or four of us.
Then we'll go into production.
That's what it looks like.
Let's put it on.
Madness
Goes well with a saw.
But I would also meet a white one.
We deserve it.
What are we doing now?
We'll get a grappa, right?
I do.
