Has Madeleine McCann Been Found? | Ep. 101

Happy Friday, everybody. You made it to the end of a long week. Question of the day today. Do you remember the Madeleine McCann case from back in 2007, a three-year-old that went missing in Portugal while vacationing with her parents? Yeah, well, that's back in the news because there was a young Polish woman who was claiming that she is her. Let's talk about that. Plus, later on, we're going to discuss Mushu the cat. Justice for Mushu the cat is Alex Jones's cat, who he claims is being investigated by the Department of Justice. Let's talk about that because that is insane. All that and more today coming up on Candace Owens. All right, so we are back in the Friday Files and we are discussing the Madeleine McCann case. And let me give you a refresher. So Jerry and Kate McCann were on a family holiday in Portugal along with a group of their friends and their children when their three-year-old daughter Madeleine went missing. Earlier that evening, the couple dined with friends at their hotel's tapas restaurant while Madeleine and her younger twin siblings, Sean and Amelie, both were two years old. They slept soundly in their hotel room just 55 meters away from their parents in the restaurant. Now, the parents had struck up an agreement that one of them would check on the children throughout the evening to ensure that all was well while Madeleine's father, Jerry, carried out the first check at approximately 9.05 p.m. But at 10 p.m. when Kate then went to check on her young children, Madeleine was gone. She was completely missing from the bed while her younger siblings were still in the bed soundly asleep. OK, so that took place 16 years ago and people were obsessed with the case. Over in the UK, this was the John Bonnet Ramsey case. Obviously, it was very big here as well and all across the world. What happened? It's a horrific case. Think about you're vacationing with your family. Your children are sleeping 55 meters away and somebody comes and grabs the daughter. A lot of people fingered the parents. They thought that they were suspicious. That always tends to be true. Of course, you always think it must be somebody close to them. They were never convicted or found guilty. But now you have a young woman. Her name is Julia Faustina. She is Polish. She's also known as Julia Wendel and Julia Walndelt. She says that she believes that she might be the missing British girl, Madeleine McCann. Shocking. She's making these claims on Instagram and I'm going to take you through some of the claims. So she began entertaining the idea that she might be Madeleine a few months ago after hearing something from her grandmother. And she claims that she has no memories aside from a holiday memory of her childhood being in a white-colored apartment. She added that the memory didn't include any of the current family members that she has, which she finds to be suspicious. Now, I do want to say first and foremost that saying that you don't have any memories between the ages of one and three years old, not a surprise. I don't know how many people can accurately recall every moment from their childhood from the age of one and three. Very few of us, I think. Definitely not me. I don't really have that many memories, maybe a few, but let's go on because she makes some more claims. One piece of evidence that she includes is that her parents rarely talk about her childhood at all. She's never seen a photo of her mother pregnant with her and they routinely dismiss questions. In fact, she finds one discrepancy to be her school enrollment date. She claims that her parents told her that she joined a school much earlier than in September of 2007, but her kindergarten teacher claims that that was in fact her enrollment date. So she's claiming that her parents are lying about when she enrolled into school, so she doesn't believe her age is accurate. Another piece of evidence, as I mentioned, is that she says that she's never seen her birth certificate. I'm telling you that she is 21 years old, but she believes that she may, in fact, be just 18 years old. And when she tried to get her parents to talk about these discrepancies, they reportedly refused to engage her. She says that her mother, quote, didn't want to talk about it. Her mom said that the past in the past and that she is not going to talk about the past. She even says that they should just focus on the future and her father says, quote, even if I am not your father, will it change anything? Again, this is according to Faustina, not her parents. I think the biggest claim that she is making is that she recognizes the convicted sex offender, Christian Bruckner. Now, who is Christian Bruckner? Christian Bruckner was working as a repairman in the resort in Praia da Luz around the time that Madeline vanished. And he is currently serving time behind bars, a seven-year sentence for attacking a 72-year-old woman in that same resort back in 2005. So he has been somebody highlighted that could have snatched Madeline McCann. He claims that that's not true, but she's saying, I recognize that guy and she recognizes him and she's calling him Peter. And she's saying that she is sure that he is a guy that sexually assaulted her when she was a bit older. So that's a huge claim that she is making, giving him even a name that is Peter. I know him. I'm 100% certain. Moving on to another one of her claims is that she keeps putting these side-by-sides on Instagram, showing herself in her youth and then showing a picture of Madeline McCann and noticing that they have a lot of similarities. The biggest similarity being an eye defect, which is referred to as coloboma. I hope I'm saying that right, colobama, which affects her right eye. Faustina's right eye also has the same defect. So that is her biggest claim. So she's like, look at this. We both have this very unique defect in our eye. I have a similar shape of face to her. I have ears that are like her. I have lips that are like her. And she claims that she's been trying to contact law enforcement and now she's turning to the public in her exasperation thinking I am able to solve this huge global case. It is in fact me. She called the local police, the capital city police, the metropolitan police, the Portugal police and crime stoppers. And again, now she is turning to the internet. And as a final piece of evidence, what she is saying is odd is that she turned to her parents, people who are purportedly her parents, and she asked them for a DNA test and they refused. Allegedly, she's saying that they refuse to take a DNA plus. And obviously that has heightened her suspicion that they are somehow involved in having her traffic and that they are not in fact her real parents. So could she be Madeline McCann? Maybe she could also be just a crazy person on the internet. And according to her purported parents, that is in fact what she is. She is a person that is going through some sort of a psychosis. Julia's family released a statement on Facebook and I'm going to read it to you in its entirety. They wrote, we would like to take a stance on Julia's case, which has spread the internet and the media in many countries in recent days. It is obvious to us as a family that Julia is our daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, and stepniece. We have memories, we have pictures. Julia also has these photos because she took them from the family home with the birth certificate, as well as numerous hospital discharges. We always tried to understand all situations that happened with Julia. Numerous therapies, medicine, psychologists, and psychiatrists. Julia had it all guaranteed. She was not left alone. Threats to our address from Julia, her lies, her manipulations, and her activity on the internet. We've seen it all and we have tried to prevent it, to explain it, and we've asked her to stop. We've always tried to help her get back on her feet. Julia has been of age for several years. She has moved out of the house. She refuses treatment, doesn't take medicines regularly. She also did not take advantage of the treatment opportunity at a very good center in Poland, which agreed to accept her. Julia once wanted to be a singer, a model. She always wanted to be popular. What is happening now has gained her 1 million followers. We're afraid Julia will carry the inevitable. The internet won't forget, and it's obvious that Julia is not Maddie. We are devastated at this current situation. At the same time, we would like to announce that we will not do interviews, publish any photos, or comment on articles. Is this a case in which child sex traffickers are about to be caught? And are Julia Faustina's purported parents lying? And in fact, they were engaged in some criminal activity in her youth, and they are trying to cover it up? Or are you looking at a person who has obvious mental illness and is now addicted to the attention and the feedback that she is getting on Instagram? I mean, imagine you're an unknown person. As her parents said, you aspire to be a singer, you aspire to be a model. And suddenly you realize that you gained a million followers by making one claim that you are Madeleine McCann. Is this an example of what we often talk about on this show? The various mental disorders that social media is creating, because it allows people access to attention, it allows them to get all of this positive feedback, it allows them to make people that they believe are their real friends, it allows them to create a fiction world. That's what she could potentially be doing. I don't know, but if she is, this is very sinister, and it is very sick. And it's not unlike things that we've seen on the internet before. People are doing more and more extreme things for likes. What could be more extreme than claiming that you are a missing person from 2007, who was abducted from your family while you slept next to your siblings? Here she is in her own words, addressing her many new hundreds and thousands of followers. Take a listen. And I really think that I could be mad then. I have some reasons to think like that as a road. And I never have hundreds of people in life. Oh God, I'm very, very stressed. I don't know what can I say, really. But I really thank you for your support, for your help. And I hope that someone will talk to me and will help me. And even if I'm not Madeleine, even if I'm not Madeleine, I think that police should look at this. And I can't be 100% sure without DNA tests, you know. Maddie's parents have agreed to a DNA test to determine whether or not this young woman is, in fact, their child. My instinct is that it's not their child. And if it's not their child, this is absolutely heartbreaking, because no family should have to go through this. No family should have to go through a person on the internet looking for attention purporting to be their child. And if it is their child, then wonderful. Case closed. Again, we will not be able to discern whether or not that is true today on this show. But I thought that we should cover it because it is a uniquely bizarre circumstance. That's a reference to a documentary regarding a serial killer who was captured because the internet was so furious that he had tortured and killed a cat live on the internet. And they were just like, absolutely not. And then everybody became a detective, and they were able to solve this crime. People like cats. I love cats. I hope you guys like cats, because I really do. I really love them. And so this story has me shook. It's unbelievable. Mooshu the cat. Who is Mooshu? It is Alex Jones' cat. And he has taken to the internet to reveal the Department of Justice is investigating his cat. Take a listen in his own words. OK, so this is not a joke. This is real, and it's really happened. And I just got home tonight with my family. So my wife's shooting this video. I'm in a bankruptcy hearing, personal and corporate for Infowars. And the Justice Department is involved and asked me to be, ordered me to be at a hearing today. And they spent probably five minutes of the meeting, it was over three hours long, on my cat. This is Mooshu, my five-year-old daughter named Mooshu, this two years ago. And they wanted to know if assets were hidden in the cat. The cat was like $2,000. And it is a ragdoll cat, and we really do love it. But they were very serious about the cat and its value. And they may want the cat for the Sandy Hook families. So the deal's broke. You guys aren't getting the cat. This is next level. This is harassment. No one's ever heard of this. My lawyers never heard of this. This is just insane. I'm gonna have to agree with him there. Definitely insane. Never heard of, are there assets hidden in the cat? Being asked as a question. I mean, it is $2,000. Is the idea here that they're going to sell his cat, his $2,000 cat, his five-year-old cat? I think you're gonna probably have a problem if you get PETA involved. Because one thing they do not like is if animals go through any sort of pain. And whether you love or hate Alex Jones, this has been their family cat for five years. And it seems like the Department of Justice is doing this because they think it's funny, because he goes on to say this. Take a listen. Justice Department hearings with people laughing in the background when they say, we want your cat. And it was kind of like that woman on the grand jury in Georgia, like, I wanted to put, get Trump under my control. And they're literally like, tell us about your cat. What's your cat's value? They're trying to like stir me up or something. He doesn't stir me up. It makes me really upset for this country. They're mad. They don't have these billions of dollars they claimed I did just because they lied. The media said I had these things. It's not real. And now they want my cat. Ladies and gentlemen, the line in the sand is you cannot have the cat. I'm sorry. But hey, you can have my first amendment and my guns and I support world government. No, actually, you can't have that either. I'll see. I think it's a good line in the sand to have. I think it's a good like having his cat. I do think that they are doing this. He mentions that they were laughing. And I do think that they have, they're making a bit of a sport against torturing Alex Jones. You know, I think obviously the department of justice hated him for a lot of reasons. They finally have him. And what better way than to just sort of flex your power than to say, oh, is that something you love your cat? Well, we can take that if we want, we can sell it and we can give whatever we gain from it to the victims of Sandy Hook. Seems remarkably petty, but I thought what a bizarre twist in the story. It's just, it's very weird to consider that our government dollars are going toward people in the department of justice questioning people about their cats. I just feel like this is a completely unnecessary component. All right, guys, I want to move on because this is actually a really feel good story. If you are like me and like Matt Walsh and like many of people who are just so alarmed at this trend of trying to convince young children and young adults to switch their gender and to go through with mutilation surgery. Well, you have a young woman who has done the right thing here. Her name is Michelle Izekigna and she's 34 years old. She's filed a lawsuit against the eight doctors and the mental health professionals who prescribed her testosterone treatments and gave her a bilateral mastectomy and a hysterectomy during which, during what she describes was simply a ****. I want to be very clear. If you are watching this anywhere but on Daily Wire Plus, you're probably going to have to hear a bunch of beeps because you are no longer allowed to talk about transgenderism as a ****. But I want to be clear. These are not my words. These are hers. Michelle Izekigna has gone through with having these procedures and she is reflecting back and realizing that she was in the midst of a **** and yet doctors encouraged her to go through with what she now recognizes is a complete mutilation of her body. Over a 10-year period, she went from seeing a therapist to being referred for hormone therapy by doctors, who she had limited interaction with, including one person that she said spoke for her for less than an hour. Less than an hour. Here you go. Hormone replacement. You're totally fine. Then she underwent the irreversible surgery and now she has realized that they have simply had recognized that she was ****. That would have better explained her condition than anything else. But of course, they didn't do that because there is some really bizarre agenda to get people to harm themselves. Now take it a step further, right? Eventually, the social media platforms that are also colluding on this agenda, that are encouraging, they will strike your account, right? If she right now creates a video and discusses her own **** and recognizes that her went so far as she is describing, again, this is not me. She is describing if she made a video and said I was **** and doctors allowed me to chop my breasts off and to go through with a hysterectomy, her account would be striked, right? That means that there is a big tech agenda to get people to harm themselves. So I do not think that she should just go after the doctors and she should just go off the nurses. This stuff is not going to end because this is happening with children that are being put on these very severe drugs. It is not going to end until every person that is playing part and parcel of the propagandist network as well, because that's what it is. When social media companies clam down and say you are no longer allowed to describe ****, right? They are colluding so that they are only seeing one side of the equation. So they're seeing people that are happy and dressed up and saying, no, it's amazing. My life has been great ever since I did this and I underwent all of these surgeries. And they're not able to then assess and go, oh, wait, but also I'm seeing other people. I'm hearing the other perspective from people that have gone through this and are saying that they're now suicidal. And that is exactly what happened to Michelle. She says, quote, removing my completely healthy uterus is my greatest regret. Can you imagine this? Just the collusion that is going on, being a perfectly healthy person, going through something **** and then having a bunch of people that say, well, you know how you're going to deal with this? You need to mutilate your own body. And now, of course, this has very serious implications for the rest of her life. She claims that the professionals failed to properly address her needs and allowed her to undergo these irreversible procedures to her body and suppress feminizing characteristics with testosterone. So in this current moment, she's assuming eight medical professionals, including doctors and mental health professionals for their involvement in her transition over 10 years. And of course, what ended up happening, as always seems to be the case, is that she went through with all these procedures and realized that she wasn't fixed, that she was not happy. Again, there are so many cases that are exactly like Michelle's. She says, quote, I can imagine that there are a lot of people who will eventually find themselves in my position, some of them vulnerable adults like I was, and some of them too young to understand the long-term consequences. And it's so brave of her to speak out and to address this. And she wrote a post for the Gender Dysphoria Alliance. Again, 10 years ago, legally, gender dysphoria was considered to be a m****, according to the DSM-5. Now, fast forward, and the professionals have changed their mind and you are no longer allowed to claim that it is a m**** or else you will be charged, you know, whether it's a strike on your account or somebody calling you a bigot or a transphobe, you're no longer allowed to say what you learned in school, which is exactly what I learned in school regarding gender dysphoria. I wish her a ton of luck. I think there are more people that should be sued and that there is more, more things that can be done on a local level to make sure if this doesn't happen to other young adults and to children. Which brings me to some more good news other than her suing. The Tennessee House has now joined the Senate and they have passed HB1, which will ban transgender puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and surgeries for minors under 18 across the entire state of Tennessee. And the bill is soon going to be sent to Governor Bill Lee's desk, which kicks off a 10-day countdown. Now, if you don't remember what the HB1 bill was, Daily Wire had a lot to do with it. We revealed all of these hormone therapies that were going on at Vanderbilt. Matt Walsh has taken on this cause especially. As a father to six, you can imagine now living in Tennessee, it's particularly alarming. It has been a major win. He got a lot of publicity for exposing Vanderbilt and all the things they were doing to children. And of course, this then inspired the House and the Senate to get something done. And that thing is now officially done. So the 10-day countdown begins and the children of Tennessee are going to be a lot safer due to the incredible work of my colleague, Matt Walsh. So there you have it. Set your timers, a 10-day countdown until that bill makes its way to Governor Bill Lee's desk to sign into law. And even if he doesn't sign it, it still becomes a law without his signature unless he specifically vetoes it. I don't think he will. I think he is very on board with protecting children as every governor and every person, every parent should be. But these are strange times indeed. That's epicwill.com promo code Candace. Moving on, I saw the story and I'm so bothered by it. And it should terrify everyone because we are just becoming such a socialist nation. Obviously, there's been all these initiatives to increase equity. We don't really know what we need equity in schools. We need equity in classrooms. What does that mean? It means that you have to start punishing smart kids. It means that it's not equitable for one kid to get an A because they pay attention in school and they work hard and the other person to get a D because they don't pay attention in school. They despise the teachers and they're just in school really because their parents telling them they have to go and they just can't wait to get out and they don't at all do their homework or anything. What am I talking about? Well, to increase equity, you now have school districts that are making the move to eliminate honors classes. And where is this happening? Of course, in the socialist state of California. Yep, Culver City. Culver City High School has eliminated honors classes because they want to improve racial equity. Of course, many parents are disagreeing with the move. That doesn't matter. Since the start of this school year, freshmen and sophomores in Culver City have only been able to select one level of English classes known as college prep rather than the previous system in which anyone could opt into the honors class. School officials say the goal is to teach everyone with an equal level of rigor once that one that encourages them to enroll in advanced classes in their final years of high school. I can't even explain to you how bad this is. As someone who loved English, English was my subject. That's why I went on to major in English when I went into university. I had such an amazing AP English teacher. Of course, the class was smaller. We were reading Beowulf. Yeah, in old English. We were reading Beowulf. To imagine now being forced into a class with people that were in a different group, that were in the lowest group of English, right, people that never showed up to school, the kind of people that would punch their teacher. Honestly, the people that, I mean, were constantly having to have administration officials come in and escort them out, to have the school police officer and resource officers escort them out. Imagine having those interruptions because there was just an initiative at the high school that I went to to make sure that everyone was being taught at the same level. It is so unbelievably unfair. I actually spoke about this in my book, you know, because I tested out of, once we had state-level testing, I tested out and I was in the Extraordinary Learners Program, and we suddenly were in courses with people that just, not even, first and foremost, yes, match your IQ, but also you are inspired by the fact that they're working hard so that you want to work hard, right? And I just can't even imagine being intentionally disadvantaged and being told that because we want things to look good, even though obviously everybody is suffering in this climate, it helps nobody. Nobody is being brought up by this, right? Because people want things to just look a certain way. It's just so unfair. It's so unbelievably unfair. And you have a bunch of parents that are speaking out on this at a school board meeting. They basically are saying exactly what I'm saying. This is, equity means offering opportunities to students of diverse backgrounds, not taking away opportunities for advanced education and study. That is what, if you really want to talk about what equality is, it's saying everybody has the same opportunity, right? Because if everybody has the same opportunity doesn't mean everybody is going to make the same achievements. Because people don't want the same things in life. People are not interested in the same things in life. I'll give you an example. I was in AP English, but I certainly wasn't in AP math. I certainly wasn't in AP physics. If you had forced me, I actually really had a thing against chemistry, right? If you had forced me into an AP chemistry class, that would not have been advantageous for the students that absolutely loved chemistry, right? If you had forced them to essentially learn at my pace of the way that I was learning chemistry, it would have been remarkably unfair to those students. This is why you have these tests. This is why you sort these students. It's because they are learning at the same pace as their peers. I think eventually what's going to have to happen is that people are going to have to just start playing offense and all this stuff. If you see it coming down the pipeline in New York and California, and you're in a state like Tennessee, you're going to play offense. You're going to have to say, how do we make sure that this never happens in this state? One way that you can do that is by never allowing your children to be enrolled into public schools. I know that's difficult for a lot of parents, especially if you are a household in which both parents are working. It's difficult to say, okay, we're going to commit ourselves to homeschooling, but these are discussions that we should be having because I am telling you, it's just scary. It's a scary climate. It's unimaginable from the time that we were growing up, but it's California. I always say to people that listen to the show, if you live in California, why? Why do you live in California?
