Hello, my loves.
Welcome to a new vlog.
I hope you're all doing really well
and having a lovely day wherever you are.
Today is a Saturday.
It's a beautiful sunny day.
I have no plans until this evening.
I also have the house to myself,
so I thought this was the perfect time
to pick up the vlogging camera
and spend the day with you guys.
I spent the morning organizing through my new clothes.
I've got some trips coming up.
I've been organizing looks for.
I've just been steaming all of these clothes here
that you can see hanging up on my light.
That is also very good as a mini rail sometimes.
So I wanna show you all of my new in spring items.
We have a new designer bag as well
that I wanna show you guys.
Okay, but first I just had a really exciting
furniture delivery.
And if you follow me on my vlogs,
you will know it took me about a year
to choose an armchair for my apartment.
Every time I found one, I'd think on it too long
and then it would go out of stock.
And I just had something very specific in mind
that I wanted that was just quite hard to find.
But eventually we found the perfect one.
I'm in love with it.
So I had the help of the interior design company
Covet Noir, who I've mentioned on my channel before,
but they just have the most beautiful aesthetic
and they've helped me source a couple of items,
including the coffee table behind me,
which is one of my favorite pieces of furniture
in the flat.
And it also helped me source this one.
Anyway, let me show you.
So this is the Copenhagen swivel chair
from Restoration Hardware.
So when you walk into the room,
it's the first thing you see on the left.
I knew that I really wanted a round chair
just because I feel like it's a lot more inviting,
makes the space easier to kind of like flow around.
And I also knew the back of the chair had to be clean
because a lot of armchairs have like a zip down the back
or some kind of like detail that would normally be hidden.
But this works perfectly.
And I love how contemporary the design is,
but still very kind of like timeless, I guess.
It's elegant, but it's also still very cozy.
Another requirement I was very set on
was having it in a velvet because the sofa is,
as you can see, it's kind of like very textured,
like a tweed.
And I wanted something to contrast that with.
I also knew I wanted it to be a warm color.
I've actually really wanted to have like a green
or like a kind of warm red,
but my only worry was that I was gonna get bored
of that eventually.
And I think with like a nice caramel,
I don't know how well the camera is picking up the color,
but it's a beautiful, rich caramel, very warm.
I feel like I'm not gonna get bored of it.
And it also picks up some really nice tones
in the coffee table as well.
It also swivels, which is really nice.
And you guys, it is so comfortable.
It's just such a nice little nook to sit in.
And it's nice because I never sit
looking this way into the room.
So I can look at the beautiful views,
sat in this chair, I really love it.
And then next to me, I have my Zara Home coffee table,
a little crystal candle from August and Piers.
This is also from Zara Home.
And these are, I think these ones are Suffolk Nest.
I don't know if I'm gonna keep the styling like this.
I kind of think a little lamp would be nice here.
I'm not sure.
I also wanna put a frame behind me
just to kind of like tie everything in
as a nice little vignette.
I'm so relieved that this has arrived though,
because I was actually really frustrated.
I ordered this because it was between this and two others.
And I ordered this specific one
because the lead time was really short.
The other ones were about 14 weeks.
This one was two weeks, which I ordered back in February.
And like with all the furniture in my apartment,
this was delayed and delayed and delayed.
So that was really frustrating
because it just delays me finishing
the rest of the apartment.
I find that I have to do things bit by bit.
I can't order everything at once.
I have to see how something looks,
then order the next thing, then see how that looks.
Because when I do everything at once, it's overwhelming.
And you just don't always know
how things are gonna come together.
So this is how my little living room area is looking.
I really love it, but I do want to change the walls
because they're too white.
I want something a bit softer, more of like an off-whitey.
So my loves, I'm thinking let's christen the new chair
in the best way possible for this channel,
which is a new-in spring styling haul.
I did just get changed into something a bit more proper.
I was in my comfies before.
I just kind of wanted to dress up for the occasion, you know?
So I'm just working out what to style it with,
brown belt, black belt, or white.
I actually think tan.
I think the tan will break up the contrast a little bit.
Okay, yes, happy with that.
Now I need to get myself a drink.
Guys, I've had a few unsuccessful shops recently,
and I've been meaning to do a haul for so long,
but if the things aren't up to scratch,
I'm just not gonna show you guys.
But this haul, I'm very excited about.
Bought some amazing pieces.
I think you guys are gonna love them.
I really love them.
We have things from Dish, LilySilk, Holland Cooper, H&M.
And my latest summer handbag.
Starting off with what I'm wearing.
This is a fall LilySilk outfit.
I am working with LilySilk on this part of the video,
which I'm always very happy about
because I am a huge fan of their brand
and all of their clothes.
And I also have a 20% off discount code of them,
which is K20.
So all the details will be on screen
and everything is linked down below in the description box.
These trousers I've shown you guys so many times before.
These are their silk wide leg trouser.
Such a great staple in the spring, summer.
I have to say, I wear these less during the winter,
just when they are such a light, flowy material.
Top I'm wearing is new.
This is 100% cashmere.
And I really love how it's your everyday basic tee elevated.
Just by changing the texture of a normal t-shirt,
I feel like it takes it to that next level,
makes the outfit look more expensive.
Don't get me wrong, I love my t-shirts,
but if I ever want to feel a little bit more smart,
I think this is a great option.
You guys know me well enough to know by now
that if I like something, I will buy it in another color.
So I also picked up in the tan,
which actually would look so nice with the tan belt
and these white trousers.
And what I love about LilySilk as well
is these are investment pieces
that you have in your wardrobe for a long time.
The quality is exceptional,
so you really get your money's worth.
As you can see, they're not long,
but they're also not cropped.
They're kind of in the middle,
so perfect tucking into trouser length.
And for size reference, I wear these in a size small.
Now this next item, I was too impatient
to save it for the haul, so I've already worn it.
And I had a bit of an interesting night when I did wear it.
Let me show you the top first,
and then I'll tell you a little story.
So it's this beautiful one-shoulder silk top.
And what I love about it is this tie
that goes around your neck.
And then at the end of the little scarf tie,
you have these tassels.
I just think this is so expensive looking.
It's chic, it's elegant,
and just a really easy option to put on for an evening look.
I'm also a huge fan of the color.
It's this gorgeous champagne-y blush.
Oh, it's so pretty.
Follow me on Instagram, you'll have seen how I styled it.
But I wore it with some black longline trousers,
some heels underneath, and a belt.
And I wore it to a rather fancy event,
which was Maison Francis-Cochin and Flannels
at a restaurant called Mistress of Mayfair.
I was texting my mum on the way there in the taxi,
saying, I've got the weirdest stomach pains,
and they're just not going.
I was due on my period,
so I was thinking it could be period pains,
but I don't normally get them up here,
and they were like right here.
I was at the event,
and the pains were kind of getting worse and worse.
Took some photos at the event,
started chatting to one of the directors,
and I suddenly started seeing black dots everywhere,
and my vision just got smaller and smaller and smaller
until all I could see was black.
And I was in the middle of a conversation,
and I felt so awkward, but I was like, I'm so sorry.
I think I'm about to faint.
I'm gonna need to sit down.
So I sat down, and then I was completely blacked out.
I could not see anything.
I couldn't hear anything.
I was conscious, but not conscious.
And then I felt a wave go over my body,
and I just started sweating,
like I've never sweated before.
And I just wanted the ground to swallow me up.
It was such an, it's just like the worst place
to have one of these moments,
because you're in a room full of people,
colleagues, friends.
Luckily, everyone was so lovely and really helped me,
so I just went and sat in the bathroom
for about 45 minutes to try and get myself together again.
Then I left the event.
So sadly, I didn't actually get
to wear this gorgeous top properly,
but I am heading out to dinner tonight.
I think I will wear this,
because I didn't get to wear her properly.
Next up, we have the most dreamy, long, maxi silk skirt.
And even better, it has pockets somewhere here.
And it's also lined as well,
so you don't have to worry about it being see-through.
I really love the amount of fabric on this.
As you can see, it just flows and drapes so beautifully.
And again, the quality feels next level.
I have gone through so many silk satin skirts.
Even though they're such a common style,
I find they're so hard to get right.
But this one is perfect.
I've tried it on already,
and I feel like there's just so many ways
you can wear this in the summer.
Style it with a oversized cashmere knit.
You could wear it with a cardigan.
It can be dressed up or down, but I just love this.
I'm so excited to wear it,
because I don't have anything like this
in my wardrobe at the moment.
And for size reference on this one, I wear a UK size six.
I feel like this next item will go really well
with the skirt I just showed you.
It's this lovely little waistcoat.
Super cute, very on-trend,
but also very timeless at the same time.
I just find these are a very flattering look,
and the perfect combination between casual and smart.
This has a little tie at the back,
so you can adjust the tightness on the waist.
And yeah, again, so many ways to style this.
I'd wear this with jeans, tailored trousers, skirts, shorts.
It's a very good staple piece,
and I find the cut of this one especially,
where the shoulder straps are quite thin,
I think it looks very delicate and pretty.
I just realized I didn't properly show you
the comfy loungewear set I was wearing at the beginning,
because that was also from LilySilk.
It's a lovely navy two-piece set.
See if the camera will pick up.
Oh, there we go.
It has this kind of like ribbing to it.
A thick waistband, draw-in tie strings.
As you guys know, I do like to feel
that little bit more elevated when I am lounging at home,
so my loungewear tends to be cohorts
or things that just make me feel put together.
And this one is perfect because, where's the top?
At the top, so you have a little zipper up top,
three-quarter length sleeves,
so much better for the summer.
As you guys know, I absolutely live in my two-piece
cashmere set from LilySilk.
That is amazing, it keeps you incredibly toasty,
so not what you want in the summer.
So this is a very good lightweight replacement,
and I can see myself wearing this non-stop.
I love how it has that kind of like sporty, chic look to it.
I think it's really good.
Again, I wear this one in a size small.
I've also got this top,
which would actually look so good
with this tan belt and white trousers.
It has this really nice fabric, contrasting collar,
and the little details on the sleeves there.
The fit on this is very flattering.
As you can see, it does come in at the waist.
I can really vision this in like the south of France
somewhere, somewhere by the sea,
for a very chic look with some like big gold earrings
like these ones I'm wearing, like a straw hat.
Oh my God, it makes me so excited to go away.
Another very strong piece,
this one is in a size extra small.
I have so many white shirts in my wardrobe,
and I definitely didn't need another one,
but I just wear them so often,
and I love lily silk pieces.
Oh my God, I just noticed they have pearl details
on the cuffs, and then it also has these detachable strings,
which come with little pearls at the end and a feather.
To be honest, I think I'm gonna take the feather off.
I don't think that's very me,
but the pearls most definitely are.
But how nice is that?
So many ways to wear a shirt like this.
We can wear it with jeans, shorts.
Love how this one's neck is slightly open,
because I always do wear my buttons undone.
I always try and press this area open,
otherwise I get a bit claustrophobic,
and I think it's a bit more flattering that way.
So yeah, I like the way it's already integrated
into the design.
It's lightweight, it hangs beautifully,
and I know I'm gonna get so much wear out of this
during the summer.
And then last but not least from Lily Silk
is this stunning long silk dress.
I just think this is so, I know I'm here with saying it,
but it is so elegant.
I love these spaghetti straps,
and just the way this falls and sit is so flattering.
And it's perfect for so many occasions.
You could even wear this for a wedding.
I've also tried this on with a cashmere jumper over the top
and wearing it almost as a skirt instead,
and that works so nicely.
So although it's one of those pieces
that might not have all the detailing
and the ruffles and the cutouts,
it is just something that you're always
going to gravitate back towards,
which is what I love in my wardrobe.
As you guys know, I really like to make sure
I wear everything in my wardrobe.
I use it multiple times.
So it's just one of those things
that it's just nice to always know
you have in your wardrobe.
Moving on to the lovely Australian brand that is Dish.
They just do the most gorgeous clothes,
lots of really nice basics, beauty textures, silhouettes.
They have that beautiful dress,
you know the one that's like pleated all the way down
and then it ties in at the back?
That's a Dish number.
I picked up two cohorts.
First one is this.
I love the texture, the buttons going down
and it has the very signature Dish tie at the waist
to really cinch you in.
So this is a little waistcoat and a skirt set.
What I like about them as well
is that the skirts aren't long.
I often find with a lot of brands skirts are just too long
and I have to get them tailored
but this looks like a proper little mini skirt.
It's got little belt loops and two pockets as well.
Fabric is very thick, it's textured, great quality.
I think this would look great on holiday
but also you could wear this in the UK
if you wear it with like some cute trainers,
maybe some ballet flats
and obviously you can also wear these as separates as well.
You could wear these with some jeans
if you just kind of unbuttoned it to about here
and you could wear this with maybe, hmm.
I think I would wear this as an evening look
with like a tight black top, maybe some boots,
something like that.
I don't know, there's lots of ways to style these
and then I also got it in this white linen color.
Slightly different but same idea.
You have the waistcoat and then the matching skirt.
This is actually a skort.
Again, you can wear them together,
you can wear them as separates.
It is a proper linen material
so I would say it's difficult to steam.
I mean, no matter how much you steam it,
as soon as you wear it, it will crease a little bit
but I feel like that is just the nature of the fabric
so it doesn't look messy, if you know what I mean.
I just love a co-ord sometimes,
especially when I'm feeling lazy.
You just know you don't have to style an outfit,
you have it all styled for you,
put it together, job done.
This next item I got around my birthday
so it's a couple weeks old now
but I've worn it non-stop.
This is a shirt from Holland Cooper
and if I show you up close,
it's blue with these lovely little stripes
and then you have this cursive writing on the front pocket
and these really, I love,
I just love a good detail.
You've got these cute cuff links
and again, some more cursive writing.
Ignore my nails, by the way, I'm getting them done tomorrow.
I have a good pop of blue in the spring
and I think a classic shirt like this is just timeless,
always looks very smart
and I really love the quality of this one.
Again, it's very crisp, which is,
it's very crisp, I love the word crisp.
This next item is the most pretty dress from H&M.
I don't think it's sold out yet
but I'm sure it will be because I just love it so much.
It's this white, flowy, very airy, fairy kind of dress.
I love the detail around the collar.
You have all this ruffling, super cute
and it's not, how do I explain this?
It's kind of pleated going down
and a little bit creased
but you don't need to iron it kind of thing.
On its own, it doesn't look great
but once you belt it, it is just so cute.
I also love how the sleeves are super big,
lots of material and then they come in at the wrist.
This is just such a perfect summer dress,
one that you just feel pretty and cute in.
You can wear it with sandals, super casually
and you can also style it with heels as well
and it looks so, just very dolly, I love it.
I also got these satiny style trousers
from Andaz Stories.
I saw a girl, I was staying in a hotel recently
and a girl in the reception was wearing
the most gorgeous outfit
and it was like silky satin trousers paired with a knit.
So I obviously had to compliment on her outfit
and then copy it.
It's actually not in these exact colours
but it's a similar vibe.
So these are in like a real chocolatey colour
and I don't know, I don't normally associate
chocolate rich browns with spring,
for me that's more autumn
but actually I think this will work really well.
I do want these in a cream.
I really want them from Reformation
but they're currently out of stock
so I think I'm gonna ship,
so I think I'm gonna order them from Arquette.
They're actually pyjamas but I think they'll do the trick.
Yeah, I ordered this and this
because I think together these would be really nice.
Again, it's that similar idea
to the lily silk top I'm wearing
where it's like a normal style t-shirt
but because it's knitted it feels more elevated
and I like how this has quite big oversized sleeves.
I just don't know, I'm just not sure
if I'm gonna keep it or not
because it feels a little bit scratchy
in comparison to this.
Like this is just so soft and lovely on the skin
whereas this I think will be quite irritating
which is a shame because I do like it
but I think if I swap this for like a cream colour
or even if lily silk have this in a cream
which I can't remember if they do or not,
I think that'll be a better alternative to this.
So I don't think I'm gonna keep this one
but I'll show you it on anyway
so you can see my outfit vision.
Okay, we're done now.
That was everything that's new in my wardrobe.
We're not done, the bag.
I nearly forgot about the bag.
Oh my God, one moment.
I feel like I've been chatting for hours.
Maybe I have.
So this is my latest bag edition.
My first ever Longchamp bag was a birthday present
for my 17th or 18th and I still use it
at least once or twice a week.
I love it so much.
The brand has really stood the test of time
not only in its style but also durability as well
and I've never had a proper beach bag.
I always just kind of bring whatever tote I have
and I thought it was about time
that I invest in a proper beach bag
and I saw this one online and I fell in love.
So it is the classic Longchamp style.
Oh, wrong way around for you guys
but in this wicker straw.
Oh my God, I just love it.
I think it's so nice.
It has these little charms as well.
I mean, they're colorful which isn't really my vibe
so maybe I might switch out these charms
for a pretty silk scarf or something
but you have the classic kind of Longchamp
with the fastening.
It's just a big empty bag.
I mean, there's not even a pocket.
To be honest, I think a pocket would be nice.
In the other Longchamp models,
they always have, it's always a lot of empty space
and then they do have a pocket.
So that does annoy me a bit that it doesn't have that.
So I'd probably put a few makeup bags in here
just so I can organize my space a bit better
but I just love how big it is.
I love how it doesn't have any huge logos across it.
It's a little bit more subtle
and you can fit about three towels in here, a water bottle.
There's a lot you can fit inside here
so I just thought this on vacation would just be perfect.
Can you see how big it is?
So big, I love it.
The only other thing I will say about it
is it doesn't really flatten, it's quite structured.
So it takes up a lot of room.
So if you are short on space, like I am sometimes,
it could be a bit of an issue
but I think what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna fill it
with summer clothes and I can use it as storage
when I'm in my flat.
But yeah, that is everything now.
I feel like I've been talking for so long, guys, I'm sorry
but I really love showing you guys clothes.
If you have any questions on sizing,
on anything, just pop them down below in the comments.
Also let me know if you have any favorites
because I would like to know that.
And just a reminder of my LilySilk code,
it's CAKE20 which gives you 20% off.
Hello, my loves.
A bit of a change of scenery
and definitely a bit of a different look going on
but I completely ran out of time to end the video
and we're currently in South Africa
so the South Africa vlog is coming next week.
It's gonna be a good one so I'm really excited for it
but I really hope you enjoyed this video.
Thank you so much for watching.
I love you so, so, so much.
Bye.
