WHY I RIDE a KTM 1290 Super Adventure S // Why I started with Harley Davidson // Ride after Lockdown

It is Easter Sunday and a beautiful afternoon. Brandenburg finally relaxed lock down restriction and riding a motorcycle is now explicitly permitted. A good day to meet up with my brother for a short cruise north of Berlin. It is also the first day for his Harley Fat Boy to come out of hibernation. Surrounded by the rumble of the Harley I was reminded on how I started riding in 2012 - I will share my story and the various bikes that I owned in the past few years - why I started with the Harley Davidson and why I switched to a BMW R 1200 GS and eventually my current bike the KTM 1290 Super Adventure S Last but not least there is going to be a short trip back to the roots - a ride on the 1998 Harley Davidson Fat Boy.
