Mt Rushmore KOA – RV America (Ep 7: Keep Your Daydream)

We are in Buffalo, Wyoming and we were looking for a place to boondock just spend basically one night and hang out on our way to Mount Rushmore tomorrow but we really couldn't find anything to do that so here's what we decided to do we found this school Bison Pride and then we found this nice big green field where we can throw the baseball around Trish is gonna make a little bit of spaghetti and then we're gonna get back on the road we're gonna go to Gillette hang out one night in Gillette and then be in Mount Rushmore early in the morning okay this is where the magic happens we are fully on high school grounds so we've got our boys out here in the middle of a football field Maddie who is 16 years old just ran down Golden Retriever like she's on borrowed time she just ran down we already trespassed these two cars are there now so we couldn't have done it before but we climbed up on the Bison we threw it up on Instagram on Tories of course you know and so anyway and I'm waiting for my water to boil at high altitude so that I can make pasta in a high school parking lot but really like we couldn't have been happier we could be sitting at a restaurant like yelling at the boys to be quiet and behave or we could be sitting in a high school parking lot you guys you have to check out what they're doing they're fully playing football and Maddie's playing and Tori's running it's like magic this is where like day 11 is where it starts happening like you can feel a difference you're a little detached and you're having fun and you're fully trespassing we used our all-stays app and our road atlas to get us here last night at a beautiful Walmart parking lot it was very loud and very slanted but look at all these people around us it was a good place to let's go find the boys put their bikes on the back of the truck and let's go see some Rushmore. Presidente. Presidente. El Presidente El Mountaino. so we got a little change of plans we're going back to the travel trailer we're gonna go we're gonna go see um MT we're gonna see my boy Abe up there and um we're gonna get my package that one of the Rangers sent to me since I didn't report on it so we're gonna do that and then yeah it has to be Jefferson it's one of these street names is Jefferson. We got out of here and we realized that we had no idea where we're going so I went back into the KOA thing and now I have that what we're gonna do is we're gonna turn left and basically gonna go right around the corner and see George Washington's face really that's what I hear we specifically went to this KOA because it was a good location and it looks like it's delivering but I will tell you the boys are having a blast staying at this KOA is like sending the boys to camp and then we get to stay on site so they could just basically come in for food and leave again wouldn't you guys say? Yeah. You're having fun? I can't go to sleep. Did you feel it in the air? I can feel it. Don't you feel presidential? It's coming. I know it's coming. Well, that was a false alarm. Also a lot of false alarms. Behind us. Look behind me. They're looking behind. Oh! I see his face! Oh my gosh! Look left. Woo! Nice! Awesome. Welcome to Mount Rushmore! okay I'm gonna throw a bunch of numbers at you that statue right there Washington 60 feet high his nose is 21 his mouth is 18 and it took over 14 years to make I mean it's totally incredible once you come around the corner you see Washington first but then when you walk down the avenue and you have all the flags from every state represented it's just beautiful it takes your breath away and you realize that it was time well spent no come on here step back come on Maddie we're here it's time to get out come on sweet girl come on don't get started on the freshwater come on Maddie part of the process it really is getting Maddie out of the car don't look at her no don't look at her she'll come okay come on you can do it okay good girl there she's up girl come on come on give me a piece of bread or something Tori whoo that's a good idea good girl oh you're such a good girl I found on the outside of Orbeez $10 bill really she's back down here she comes here she comes come on girl come here come on there we go there we go she's out
