Motorcycle Adventure Continental Drift Episode 1 - London to Sydney Adventure

Welcome to Continental Drift, the unfolding story of a London to Sydney adventure, commencing July 2012. Follow our progress on Facebook and YouTube. If you're going to team up with a person you barely know, with the intention of riding motorcycles from London to Sydney, then it's advisable to have a practice ride together. This film, 12 Countries and Just Practice, is the prelude for our more adventurous trip in late 2012, where we take on 20,000 kilometres to reach our goal, London to Sydney. The trip I've organised with Dave is going to be fantastic. We are covering the most legendary roads that Europe's got to offer, going from sea level up to nearly 3,000 metres. We're going to be making snowballs when we get to the top of some of these mountains. 2,770 metres. I'm really looking forward to this trip. The key bits to it for me are riding the Spanish Pyrenees into Andorra and meeting a long-time friend from KTM Spain, and then moving through the French Alps. There's nothing flash or special about us. We're just ordinary riders, just doing what we enjoy doing. And that's it. And that's the essence of it. And what we want to do is tell a good story. It's 25 past nine and I can't find it anywhere. The sweeping wheat fields behind me hold another secret. We're in Madagascar in Austria, and this is the heart of KTM. What the hell's that? Oh my God, no. The 12 Countries and Just Practice tour around Europe is complete, and we are now less than seven months away from the big one, the 20,000 kilometre three-month adventure of a lifetime, riding from London to Sydney.
